Anthelia comes out on top in Super Sprint thriller
Anthelia was sent off the 6-1 co second-favourite and looked booked for second when Eve Johnson Houghton's Windsor Castle Stakes victor and 6-4 market leader Havana Hurricane burst onto the scene inside the final furlong.

Regular partner Lewis Edmunds was also conjuring maximum effort from the daughter of Supremacy, though, and after showing the blistering speed that had been a hallmark of her campaign to date, Anthelia stuck her head down to be rewarded with a short-head success.
'I didn't know if she had got there and she had to make a bit of ground inside the final furlong as Eve's horse got first run on us,' explained Millman.
'I don't try to buy cheap horses, I try to buy nice horses cheaply. She's a lovely filly to be involved with and we're so lucky to have a nice filly like this.
'It's a wonderful race for any trainer, but especially the small trainers and it kept me in business many years ago when I was struggling and then won it with Lord Kintyre. After that people sent me horses and we've been fine ever since.

'We always try to have a nice horse for it and I've spent a lot of money on entry fees as the trouble is you have to enter them before you know how good they are. So you're sort of running for your own prize-money, but if you're lucky enough to have the right horse it's a great race.
'My wife always says, what's mine is half hers and what's hers is hers, so she'll enjoy this.'
Connections had deliberately skipped Royal Ascot after landing Sandown's Listed National Stakes earlier in the season, but suffered disappointment when trying six furlongs for the first time in Newmarket's Empress Stakes last month.
However, having bounced back with a lucrative £134,092 haul, Anthelia could now go in search of further sales race bounty before dipping her toe in at a higher level.
'We'll probably go for Harry's Half Million (York, August 21) and then there's some nice Group races later in the season,' said Millman.
'The Empress went wrong last time, but she's a good filly and proved it today. It wasn't that she didn't stay in the Empress, she was just in the bad position but it wasn't the jockey's fault, it was my fault as I gave the instructions and I gave myself a good telling off afterwards.
'I think she's quite nice, but it is always another ball game taking on the big girls. She's effective over five and six furlongs and once you start trying to go further you've got to be a better class again to be effective at that distance, but I have not ruled it out.'
Johnson Houghton, meanwhile, could potentially seek immediate compensation at the Qatar Goodwood Festival with the runner-up having been thwarted in her continuing quest for a first Super Sprint victory.
Johnson Houghton said: 'I'm thrilled but gutted is the best way of putting it, it's my unlucky race.
'I'm pleased for Rod but gutted for us and I think if we hadn't had the rain he might have won, but I can't possibly say that as there is no way of knowing and the winner is a very good filly.
'She's a Listed winner, we're a Listed winner and they should have finished like that really as they are two good horses and two cheap horses we have done well with, so clever us – aren't Rod and I clever.
'We might as well have a look at Goodwood now, but I don't think he wants soft ground as it just dents his turn of foot. I don't know if we'll go go five or six furlongs just yet, I need to have a think about it.'

Queen Anne Stakes winner Docklands will meet top three-year-old miler Field Of Gold in a clash of generations in the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes Royal Ascot winner Docklands is 'in as good a place as we've had him' ahead of his clash with star three-year-old Field Of Gold in the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes Eustace enjoyed a breakthrough royal meeting last month when his two winners at the world-renowned event were registered in Group 1 races, with Docklands winning the Queen Anne Stakes and Time For Sandals, the Commonwealth Cup. Docklands produced a career-best performance in the Queen Anne, narrowly defeating Rosallion, who is set to repose, and securing a first Royal Ascot win for Australian-based jockey Mark Zahra. Eustace said: 'Docklands has been super since the race and seems to have come out of it very well. He has done a couple of bits of work since. He obviously came out of it race fit, so it's getting him into Goodwood in as good a form as we got him into Ascot. 'We are under no illusions regarding the opposition. We take on the three-year-olds, particularly Field of Gold, which will be the toughest opponent he's faced so far, but he's in as good a place as we have ever had him. 'At Ascot, it was not an end-to-end gallop which you would have expected, but quite a tactically run race. That can typically be true at Goodwood as well, that encouraged us to give him the chance back at Goodwood. 'The track should suit him. He has run there before and to the eye was a little disappointing, but it was his first run off the back of his win in the Britannia and, in hindsight, I don't know whether I had him one hundred percent. 'He handled Epsom well, so I have no problem with the cambers at Goodwood. The quality might be another matter.' Docklands will have another change of jockey with Tom Marquand set to step in. 'Finding someone who can commit over two or three races this year is difficult for a yard our size, but I'm obviously keen to get the best available,' Eustace added. 'I have a good relationship with Tom through my time with William Haggas and I think he'll suit him well.' Time For Sandals, a surprise 25-1 winner of the Commonwealth Cup, who will step back to 5f for the Group 2 King George Qatar Stakes. The three-year-old filly has finished in the first three in all six of her career starts, including runner-up efforts in the Lowther Stakes at York last season and a Group 3 in France. Eustace said: 'She's come out of Ascot particularly well. It was a big effort, and the extra few weeks have really helped her. 'The Chantilly form has worked out very well and the winner of that has won the Prix Jean Prat, so her form is beginning to stack up stronger than people maybe thought it did on the day. 'The big question mark is back to a sharp five for her having won over a stiff six at Ascot. 'Personally, I don't think it will be a problem and Richard [Kingscote], who rode her at Ascot, is pretty positive she'll be fine over it too, but if we're going to find her out this year it will be in this race.'

Field Of Gold ‘in great order' for Sussex Stakes test
The brilliant Juddmonte-owned grey has had a superb campaign so far this year, winning the Irish 2,000 Guineas and the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. Prior to those runs he has narrowly denied in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket and was the winner of the Craven, a superb run of form that leads neatly into the Sussex and very much makes him the horse to beat. 'He's been a grand horse to train, he's done nothing but thrive this year,' said Gosden. 'We've been pleased with his progress all the way through. 'The Sussex is a different test of a horse. If you've ever walked the track, it's quite a surprise, it runs down into a dip, swings up and around. 'You don't want too big a field and a high draw because you are literally down the hill looking at the horses getting the shortest run round up the hill, so the draw is a big factor there if you get a large field. 'The horse is athletic, he's got great balance, and hopefully he'll handle the track well. It's very different to the round mile of Ascot or the Curragh, that's for sure. 'He's in great order, and we're looking forward to running him. It's very much the obvious race to go to for him.' Field Of Gold could be joined by Lockinge Stakes winner Lead Artist, who proved his suitability for Goodwood when taking the Bonhams Thoroughbred Stakes at this meeting last year and is also owned by the Juddmonte operation. Gosden said: 'He's in great form, we'll see if he runs, no decision on that yet. 'He bowled along there last year and won in good style. We're not sure if they'll both run at this stage, we're a little far off from the race yet.' Gosden, who trains alongside his son, Thady, will have plenty of other headline runners at the Goodwood fixture, with French Master and Sweet William both going for the Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup. Successful in the Copper Horse Handicap at the Royal meeting, French Master will be up in trip and class, but Gosden said: 'We're hopeful he'll run a good race. He did a little breeze with Sweet William, there wasn't much between them, nicely on the bridle, looking after each other. Sweet William was a neck up, actually.'
