Adam Sandler can't resist casting his nepo daughters! Teens Sunny and Sadie have starring roles in the new Happy Gilmore 2 - and have appeared in at least 20 of the actor's films

Daily Mail4 days ago
Adam Sandler delighted fans with the recent release of Happy Gilmore 2, but he wasn't the only Sandler entertaining viewers.
The American actor's two daughters with his wife, Jackie, Sadie, 19, and Sunny, 16, were also stars of the new Netflix comedy film, which followed the golfer's life after his Tour Championship win.
However, it's far from the their first time on a film set, because the two have starred in many of their father's much-loved productions.
It's not just recent roles either. The pair have collaborated with their father from a very young age, with Sadie appearing in the 2008 film Don't Mess with the Zohan at two years old.
Throughout their childhood, the duo has gone on to star in tens of their father's films, including Grown Ups, Hotel Transylvania, and Jack and Jill.
In the second Happy Gilmore film, Adam's children took centre stage, with Sadie playing Charlotte, a woman Happy meets in a group therapy session, and his youngest playing his on-screen daughter, Charlotte Gilmore.
However, Sunny and Sadie didn't always secure such high-flying roles, and they have previously made such small cameos that even the die-hard Sandler fans might struggle to spot them.
Here, Femail delves into the very starry careers of Sunny and Sadie at just 16 and 19 years old.
Adam Sandler isn't the only star in his family, and his daughters, Sadie and Sunny Sandler, are becoming breakout stars in their own right, thanks to their father casting them in many of his most famous productions (pictured: Sunny in You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah)
19-year-old Sadie hasn't experienced a typical childhood, and she made her first film debut as a toddler in her father's 2008 movie, Don't Mess with the Zohan, where she played the Girl Riding On Goat.
Then, she starred as the Sweetest Medieval Girl of All Time in 2008's Bedtime Stories and was Tardio's daughter in Grown Ups.
In 2011's smash hit comedy Just Go with It, with Jennifer Aniston, Sadie played a girl on the rope bridge.
That same year, she starred as the little girl on the ship in the comedy film Jack and Jill.
In 2012, she undertook the role of the lemonade stand kid in That's My Boy and voiced young Mavis in Hotel Transylvania, which included Selena Gomez as the teen Mavis.
One year later, she played Sadie Tardio in Grown Ups 2, and the year after, she was a little league announcer in Blended.
In 2015, she starred in three major film productions: Pixels, Hotel Transylvania 2 and The Ridiculous 6.
After that, she was in The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler, The Week Of, and Hotel Transylvania 3 over the next few years.

In 2019, she worked alongside her father and Jennifer Aniston in Murder Mystery as Summer.
After that, the budding actress worked as part of the cast for The Wrong Missy and Hubie Halloween.
In a recent film, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, she took on a bigger role as Ronnie Friedman before voicing a character in the 2023 film Leo and starring in Happy Gilmore 2.
Meanwhile, her younger sister Sunny has also taken on a slew of impressive acting roles from a young age.
Adam and Jackie Sandler welcomed Sunny into the world on November 2, 2008 - five months after Sadie made her big screen debut.
Two years later, Sunny made her debut in the 2010 blockbuster Grown Ups as Tardio's daughter and has since added over a dozen film credits.
In 2011, Sunny appeared alongside her older sister in Just Go with It as part of the family who appeared on the rope bridge, and in Jack and Jill as a little girl.
A few years later, the 16-year-old starred in That's My Boy, Grown Ups 2, Blended and lent her voice to Hotel Transylvania.

In addition to You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah (pictured), Sunny has starred in a string of other successful Hollywood films
2015 saw Sunny work across three films, Pixels, Hotel Transylvania 2, and The Ridiculous 6.
She later appeared in The Do-Over as Lola, in The Week of as Eva, and in Hotel Transylvania 3.
In 2019 and 2020, Sunny joined her father and sister on Murder Mystery and The Wrong Missy.
She then starred in Hubie Halloween as Cooky, in Hustle as a young girl, before taking on a leading role in Netflix's You're So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah and Happy Gilmore 2.
The Happy Gilmore sequel, directed by Kyle Newacheck, also starred original cast members Christopher McDonald, Julie Bowen, and Ben Stiller.
Other notable names in the film included Goldie Hawn, Ben Stiller, Kevin Nealon, Ken Jennings, and Benny Safdie.
Eminem, Cam'ron and Post Malone are among the notable musicians who are in the cast, according to the streaming service.
The sports comedy also features dozens of cameos from prominent celebrities across multiple fields, such as NFL standout and Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and former NFL standout and Kim Kardashian's ex, Reggie Bush.
The world of golf is also well-represented, with a number of prominent golf players in the film.
They include Paige Spiranac, John Daly, Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler, among others.
Professional wrestling fans will also be pleased to see cameos from stars such as Nikki Bella, Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Becky Lynch.
Elsewhere, Adam Sandler fans are also only just finding out that he has starred alongside his wife Jackie Sandler in over 20 of his films.
The Uncut Gems actor, 58, has made a conscious effort to appear alongside his other half over the past two decades, with many cinemagoers keeping an eye out for her cameos, which they've likened to Easter eggs.
Jackie, 50, has appeared in several of Adam's movies, including 50 First Dates (2004), where she played a dentist, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (2007), in which she was a teacher, and Grown Ups (2010), where she played Richie Minervini's on-screen wife.
Despite frequently having to watch Adam kiss other women on set, the producer insists his wife doesn't get jealous of his on-screen romances.
'The only awkward part is hearing my wife on the side going, "Harder! Harder! Kiss her harder! Deeper," he told the Associated Press in 2019, while promoting his hit Netflix film, Murder Mystery, which he starred in alongside Jennifer Aniston.

South Park targets Donald Trump once again

The latest South Park episode continues its satire of Donald Trump, his colleagues, and supporters. Titled Got a Nut, the episode features parodies of figures, including a miniature JD Vance, Kristi Noem, and Cartman imitating Charlie Kirk. The plot sees Mr Mackey join ICE due to financial struggles, leading to a scene where an animated Kristi Noem parodies her controversial dog-killing confession during an ICE orientation. The episode depicts Trump inviting Mackey to his Mar-a-Lago complex, where he is shown in bed with Satan, with the mini JD Vance offering assistance. This instalment follows a social media exchange where the Department of Homeland Security used a South Park image to promote ICE, prompting a sarcastic retort from the show's official account.

Trump reiterates claim that Kimmel and Fallon will be canceled while discussing Howard Stern

President Donald Trump doubled down on his claim that late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are next in line to lose their jobs as networks begin to shy away from criticising his administration. With Paramount already moving earlier this summer to cancel CBS's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Trump was asked at a press conference on Wednesday about 'shock jock' Howard Stern 's Sirius XM radio show reportedly being brought to an end and whether that meant anti-Trump comedy was facing extinction. 'Well, it hasn't worked,' the president said. 'And it hasn't worked, really, for a long time, and I would say pretty much from the beginning. Colbert has no talent. 'I mean, I could take anybody here. I could go outside in the beautiful streets and pick a couple of people that do just as well or better. They'd get higher ratings than he did. He's got no talent. 'Fallon has no talent. Kimmel has no talent. They're next. They're going to be going. I hear they're going to be going. I don't know, but I would imagine because they'd get – you know, Colbert has better ratings than Kimmel or Fallon.' Drawn on Stern, whose show Trump once regularly appeared on to outrageous effect, exchanging scandalous remarks with his fellow New Yorker, he said: 'He lost his audience. People said, 'Give me a break.' He went down when he endorsed Hillary Clinton [in 2016].' Trump previously claimed that the end was nigh for Kimmel and Fallon last month when, gloating over Colbert's cancellation on Truth Social, he wrote: 'The word is, and it's a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone. 'These are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. It's really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!' The president is known to harbor a particular loathing for Kimmel, who attacked him while hosting the Academy Awards in March 2024 by reading aloud a social media post from Trump deriding the broadcast before asking: 'Isn't it past your jail time?' Trump has never taken kindly to humor at his own expense, from Barack Obama making fun of his 'birther' conspiracy theory and glitzy taste in decor at the White House Correspondent's Dinner in 2011 to Alec Baldwin 's impersonation of him on Saturday Night Live during his first term. He also routinely accuses celebrities who criticize him of lacking talent, notably calling Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep 'overrated' after she rebuked him at the 2017 Golden Globes for cruelly mocking a disabled journalist. Other figures from the entertainment world with whom Trump maintains longstanding beefs include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bette Midler, Debra Messing, Rosie O'Donnell, Robert De Niro, and Bruce Springsteen.

MrBeast's wildest videos amid ‘real-life Hunger Games' idea

MrBeast has floated the idea of doing a 'real life' version of Hunger Games - without the killing, of course. The YouTube megastar is known for his extremely wild stunts in his videos. He shot to mainstream success after he released his $426,000 Squid Game in Real Life back in November 2021. Costing a reported $3m to make, the video has passed 800 million views on YouTube as of August 2025. But MrBeast might not yet be done with remakes of dystopian death games. In an appearance on The Today Show over in the US, he was asked about his idea for a real life version of the Hunger Games. Jennifer Lawrence starred in the movie adaptations in the 2010s, while another prequel film is due to arrive in 2026: Sunrise on the Reaping. The books and films feature teenagers forced to compete in brutal death matches, for the entertainment of the rich in the capitol. MrBeast told Today Show his version would 'not use real weapons' and involve dropping 26 people on an island, with the last one standing winning $1m. He pitched using 'laser tag' instead of actually killing the contestants, like in the original novels. It comes after his own reality show Beast Games came to an end earlier this year and crowned its first winner. Find out more about that here. Now he is talking about doing his own version of Hunger Games, I thought I would take a look at some of MrBeast's wildest and most extreme video ideas so far. Are your kids fans of MrBeast and his YouTube channel? Let me know what you think of his videos by email: . He got real people to compete in a non-lethal version of the Netflix hit. It featured games like Red Light, Green Light, Dalgona and musical chairs. |for Netflix Photo:for Netflix Photo Sales 2 . I Built Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory MrBeast, who now is a chocolate-maker of his own with his Feastibles brand, has in the past recreated Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory in real-life. 10 players had the chance to walk away with the factory at the end of the video, as was the prize in the original book/ film. |for Netflix Photo:for Netflix Photo Sales 3 . I Paid A Real Assassin To Try To Kill Me For $100,000 Have you ever imagined what it would be like to be hunted by a real-life assassin? Well, MrBeast has had that experience. A 'real assassin' had a day to try and stab the YouTube star with a rubber knife to win $100,000. |Photo:Photo Sales 4 . Survive 100 Days Trapped In A Private Jet, Keep It One of the more recent efforts from MrBeast, this video came out in mid-July. He tasked a pilot with staying in a luxurious private jet for 100 days, with the carrot that if he accomplished it, he would get to keep the jet. Not sure I would be able to manage that. | Alberto E.
