Michelin Star chef and Sky TV star suddenly closes luxury Harrods pop-up after eight months
A MICHELIN chef and Sky TV star has announced the shock closure of his Harrods pop-up just eight months after it opened.
The project was one of five new food joints launched by the chef in the past year.

Hot Dogs by Three Darlings, owned by high profile chef Jason Atherton, was a gourmet hot dog concept in Harrods Dining Hall but it has unfortunately shut up shop.
The restaurant concept for "haute" dogs was introduced to the posh department store in summer but closed before it made its first birthday.
Harrods announced the surprise closure on its website, stating: "Hot Dogs by Three Darlings is now closed.
"Having served thousands of 'haute dogs' to customers over the past eight months, Hot Dogs by Three Darlings has completed its final service and is now permanently closed."
Jason, 53, opened the hot dog venue with the hope of adding a bit of glamour to the classic dish.
It seated 25 diners and the menu was inspired by various locations across the globe, taking flavours from a range of cuisines, and offering five different hot dogs.
The Souk Dog was created with lamb and harissa and The Texican Flesty 'n' Fiery offered beef sausages, guacamole and jalapenos.
Being based in a Grade II listed luxury shopping centre in the swankiest area of London, the hot dogs were never going to be cheap.
Menu prices ranged from £16 up to a staggering £52 for a single hot dog.
For those wondering what is included in a fifty-pound-butty, the sausage is smothered in grated truffle - a concept designed with model David Gandy.

On the restaurant's pink-themed Instagram, images of the hot dogs can be seen stacked with topping and flags.
The pop-up also serves a range of drinks to go with your delicious dogs - wine, beer, cocktails, and even milkshakes.
Hot Dogs by Three Darlings took over the space from Sushi by Masa and will now delegate the site to Caviar Bar.
The new pop-up promises to provide a "new level of indulgence" and offers an eye-watering £75 lobster cocktail.
South Yorkshire-born Jason also runs a selection of well-received restaurants including Pollen Street Social, which has won numerous awards including a Michelin star and Row on 45, which has snapped up two Michelin stars.
In 2023, the TV star opened up on his reported fallout with his former boss Gordon Ramsay - insisting his mentor is "a legend".
During a TV appearance in 2019 he admitted they haven't spoken since his departure - after which he earned a Michelin star within a year of opening his restaurant Pollen Street Social.
When asked about his relationship with Gordon, Jason spoke highly of his ex-mentor and told The Sun: "There's certainly no feud from my side.
"I'm only five foot eight, don't want a feud with Mr. Ramsay.
"He's a legend, an absolute legend. And he's, you know, when I worked for him, he was 100 per cent at top of his game and he still is."
Now Jason Atherton is a Michelin star and multiple award-winning Chef with 16 restaurants around the world.

Showing their appreciation, Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) and the other cabbies lined up the taxis on the street, honking their horns and saluting her as she waved out the window. Despite the 'touching' scenes, some fans weren't happy about the exit Eileen was given after 25 years, as they expected more. One penned: "This will go down in history as one of the most drawn out exits ever," as another wrote: "This is a dreadful last episode for a long term character." "Well, that send off, wasn't very exciting," tweeted a third, while another agreed: "Goodness. Eileen's exit storyline is very, very, VERY bland." However, others took to the social media platform to praise the exit. "Wow todays episode of Corrie had me happy crying what an ending for an iconic character," wrote one fan, as another said: "Loved how all the taxis lined the street to wave eileen off. Nice touch." But then Nicolas Jackson completed what was dubbed the worst hat-trick ever in injury-time - before Spurs were treated to a standing ovation by their fans as they left the pitch. It was unprecedented - yet after that game, things were never the same. Teams started to wise up to Spurs' style of inverted full-backs and clever cut-backs - as well as exposing the gaps they left at the back. That feat was not enough though to convince the higher-ups, who had not agreed with Postecoglou's decision to prioritise the Europa League from February onwards. It is understood the club began talking to representatives of other managers from the start of the year, underlining the shaky ground Postecoglou has been on for some time. Now it has collapsed from underneath him, to his disappointment as he felt the job in N17 was not done. But at least he walks away a hero, having finally changed the narrative to one of rare trophy success during the silverware-starved Levy story of the last 25 years.

American Pie star admits snorting cocaine out of stranger's TRASH at 4am at depths of drug addiction

The American Pie star said he tried to get rid of it multiple times at 4am - initially chucking it in his own kitchen trash before taking it out to do some more. He finally drove to a public trash can on Sunset Boulevard but later drove back and found it again. Biggs explained his wife, actress and author Jenny Mollen, was asleep upstairs completely unaware of what was happening. In a raw interview on Arielle Lorre's The Well podcast, the 47-year-old actor recounted moments that brought him dangerously close to rock bottom. 'I lived in the gray area, but I have 'snorting dust off the floor' stories or similar to that,' Biggs said. 'One of my craziest stories was I was doing cocaine by myself in my house, and I did what I said was 'the last line'.' 'Within 15 minutes, as soon as my last bump is wearing off, what am I doing?' he said. 'I go into my trash, and I take it out and I do a line.' He then attempted a more drastic step but again, the urge took over. 'Before I took the Ambien, I was like, 'One more,'' he recalled. I was like, 'What the f–k am I doing? This is absolutely insane.'' Determined to stop, Biggs got in his car while high and threw the cocaine into a coffee cup with leftover coffee inside, then placed it in a public trash can. Still, the pull of the drug was stronger than him. That's too final. 'I knew I was going to finish that bag the moment I got it, but I kept playing this game with myself. That was very close to rock bottom.' Biggs, who shares two sons, Sid, 11, and Lazlo, 7, with Mollen, described how his addiction had taken over every part of his daily life. 'For me, it was the obsession over it,' he said. 'It was wake up and immediately think, 'How am I going to get my first line?'… It was exhausting and I was sort of consumed mentally.' Now more than seven years sober, Biggs says 'There is a freedom that comes with not having to do those things anymore.' In 2018, the Orange Is the New Black actor celebrated one year of sobriety with an emotional Instagram post, writing: 'I first tried to get sober over 5 years ago, when the weight of my obsession with booze and drugs became too heavy for me to handle. 'Turns out this s**t is hard. 'After some fits and starts, I've managed to put together one year of sobriety. I'm as proud of it as anything in my life. If you're struggling, know there's help. Don't be ashamed. We can do this.' Biggs has since reflected on the effort it took to conceal it his addiction. 'I'm going to therapy and 'working on things,' but meanwhile I'm leaving therapy, having just had a good session, and I'm going to the liquor store and buying a fifth of vodka, drinking it and then driving home,' he said on a March 2024 episode of All the Fails, hosted by his wife. 'I knew how to get wasted enough to where I took myself out of the life equation, took myself out of the present, didn't have to connect in a way that made me feel things,' he added. 'I had it figured out to a T. To not get too drunk where I couldn't have a conversation with you. 'I was replacing those bottles in the bar all the time.' RISE TO FAME After his American Pie role as the angsty teen who tried to masturbate with an apple pie, Jason appeared in several romcoms. He had a starring role in Boys and Girls, Saving Silverman, Wedding Daze and All at Once. His most notable role outside 1999's American Pie, however, was in hit series Orange is the New Black as journalist Larry Bloom. Earlier on, between 2012 and 2014 he received backlash for misguided jokes on social media, where he appeared to make fun of the doomed Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 and mocked the death of The Bachelorette contestant Eric Hill. He later apologised for the tweet about the tragic aircraft. Jason was linked to his co-star Tara Reid in 2000, but has been married to actress Jenny Mollen since 2008.
