Lottie Tomlinson reveals she was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery on landing in Abu Dhabi after falling ill on the plane there
The influencer, 26, who is one of One Direction star Louis Tomlinson 's sisters, had flown to the country with her fiance Lewis Burton and their children.
But Lottie said she started to feel unwell on the plane there, with stomach pains getting worse before she eventually vomited.
After landing in Au Dhabi, Lottie went to see a doctor and was put on a drip - but when it didn't help the pain she was sent to hospital where it was discovered she had appendicitis.
Lottie was then rushed for emergency surgery to have her appendix removed and shared a clip explaining the scare from her hospital bed on Instagram on Thursday as she recovered.
'So I didn't expect to start our trip like this but I'm just grateful that I'm recovering now,' she began. 'I felt quite ill on the way here, on the plane, really bad stomach pains.
'Then I started throwing up when I got here and long story short I went to the doctor and they put me on a drip - but it wasn't helping with the pain, the stomach pains.
'So they sent me to hospital where they discovered that I had appendicitis so I needed surgery straight away, so last night I had surgery to remove my appendix and it all went well, so I'm just now recovering.
'But I'm so grateful to all the nurses and doctors that have looked after me and I'm hoping that I can make a quick recovery.'
She captioned the clip: 'Thank you to all the lovely doctors and nurses here in Abu Dhabi.'
Lottie also shared a snap of Lewis sitting by her ward with their two-year-old son Lucky as they kept her company. The couple also welcomed their second child, a daughter called Flossie, in January.
'Hopefully I can make a speedy recovery and enjoy our last few days here,' she captioned the snap of Lewis and Lucky.
It comes after last month Lottie admitted her cosmetic procedures became a 'never-ending cycle' as she candidly opened up about using filler and having beauty treatments.
The influencer has had her lip and cheek filler dissolved and previously said she noticed the cosmetic procedures had 'got out of control'.
But in May Lottie revealed that she first turned to cosmetic treatments after 'losing her confidence' after her mum Johannah Deakin's death in 2016 at the age of 43.
She said she believes her mum 'sugarcoated' her diagnosis and she never realised 'how bad' she was until near the end.
Speaking to Giovanna Fletcher on her Happy Mum Happy Baby podcast, she revealed that becoming a mother herself has changed the way she views herself and given her her confidence back.
Lottie said: 'I felt like it was making me happy, you know? Losing the weight and feeling slimmer definitely made me feel better in myself.
'But in terms of the fillers and the beauty treatments, it was just a never-ending thing of trying to catch up with yourself.
'And, like, when you lose someone as close as your mum, it affects your confidence a lot.
'That's something I never expected, because if you think about it, your mum is the one person that cheers you on, that loves you unconditionally, that's there to give you that, you know, reassurance and support.
'So when you lose that, you kind of lose that, you know, confidence in yourself.
'So I think I was constantly chasing, trying to find that confidence, thinking I would find it in these, you know, fillers and how I looked.'

Olly Murs - who competed on the 2009 series of The X Factor - has addressed the criticism surrounding the show after a string of previous contestants hit out at the former series Olly Murs has defended the legacy of The X Factor after a string of stars slammed the programme. The show, created by Simon Cowell, has produced some of the biggest names in music, but while the majority of the contestants celebrate their experience, others have hit out at it. Meanwhile, other successful artists such as One Direction, Olly Murs, Fleur East, Stacey Solomon and Rebecca Ferguson have gone on to have successful careers, despite not winning. It comes after reports of all the celebrities rumoured to be joining BBC Strictly Come Dancing 2025. But Olly, who has been fiercely loyal to the programme, has now opened up about the legacy and how important it has been in the music industry. "I think there's no doubt we can all sit here and say that the X Factor was huge," he commented. Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire ahead of his headline slot, turning on the Blackpool Illuminations on August 29, he continued: "It's hugely successful for creating such stars, from the One Direction boys, to Harry Styles, Niall has obviously done things, Louis, I mean, all the boys from that band came out and did great stuff. "You know, me, James Arthur, Little Mix, Lucy Spraggan – there's some real, I mean, the list goes on and on, to be honest. Alexandra Burke! There have been endless people who have come. Stacey Solomon, of course, even though she's not doing music, she's doing so well herself." Olly went on to say: "There's just so many over the years that have just had such big careers. That's the thing. That's what the show was built on, bringing young people off the street or young people an opportunity and a chance to change their lives forever. We took it and embraced it and look where we are now." Speaking about turning on the iconic Blackpool Illuminations, Olly told the press: "Very honoured to be asked, over the years so many iconic artists have done it so it's going to be a cool night and I'm very excited to do it." Reflecting on being asked, Olly revealed: "Surprised but happy and I've no doubt will be a super day, plus all the tickets are free for the event." But what will the cheeky Essex chap be performing on the night? He explained: "Yeah, I'll be performing a full set with all the hits, and yes, I'll be playing new music which is exciting for me! British No 1 Jack Draper joins Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic in signing up for mega-money Six Kings Slam - with controversial Saudi event returning for a second year
Jack Draper is set to cash in this October after being confirmed as one of the six players for the second edition of the lucrative Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia. The British No 1 will line up alongside tennis royalty – including world No 1 Jannik Sinner, Wimbledon finalist Carlos Alcaraz and 24-time Grand Slam winner Novak Djokovic – for the controversial event in Riyadh, which will again offer eye-watering appearance fees and the biggest individual winner's prize in tennis history. The tournament, staged at the ANB Arena as part of Riyadh Season, runs from October 15–18 and is officially classed as an exhibition, meaning no ATP ranking points will be awarded. But with players guaranteed a minimum of £1.12million simply for taking part – and the winner banking a staggering £4.5m – it's little wonder the event has drawn big names despite its unofficial status. Draper, 23, will make his debut at the event amid a breakout year that has seen him rise to world No 5, win Indian Wells, and finish runner-up in Madrid. He is one of three new faces in this year's line-up, alongside fellow debutants Taylor Fritz and Alexander Zverev, with last year's participants Rafael Nadal, Daniil Medvedev and Holger Rune not returning. Italy's Sinner returns to defend the crown he won last year by beating Alcaraz in the final, while Djokovic – who missed the inaugural event – adds further star power. The promo campaign for the 2025 edition leaves no doubt about the organisers' ambitions. A striking poster features the six competitors in icy blue tones, each wearing a golden crown and gazing stoically ahead like Renaissance sculptures. The former world No 1 also questioned its sporting value given the absence of ranking points and the event's ultra-commercial tone. Reflecting on his busy year as a Love Island Aftersun host, Hits radio and podcast presenter with Pete Wicks and all-round face of showbiz, Sam revealed plans to 'stop being a yes man.' Speaking to The Sun on behalf of M&Ms Couch Confessions, Sam said: 'Do you know what, it's a weird answer, but I think it's time to take it easy, I really do. 'I've been so incredibly lucky, and the last few years have been a whirlwind - from the jungle to Love Island. Just so much stuff. 'So next year, I want to really consolidate and figure out what it is that I want to do, and not just be a yes man. I feel like I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I really can. 'And I want to decide what it is I actually want to do - maybe that's something really important, and find out what my legacy will be.' Just a couple of years ago, Sam fronted a documentary on ADHD and it was very well received by Channel 4 audiences. Now, he's keen to get back into documentary making and do more of the same. The star went on: 'I want to do a documentary - the response to my one on ADHD was so good and I loved it so I want to do more of that. I've taken a lot from this industry. I'm very grateful for that taking, but I'd love to give a little bit too. 'I'd like to spend a bit of time on myself and actually sort of like, you know, figure out what I- want to It's been a mad two years.' On the topic of working on himself, Sam's best friend Pete Wicks recently quizzed him on his 'glow up' - having spruced himself up since becoming single. Sam said: "Oh, God, I think I've done everything I can do. "I've done whatever it is that I can do, because I'm aware that I looked like f***ing shit. "No, no, I am aware of that. I've looked at photos, I've looked at videos, I've been like, my God, you're a piece of s***. "It was a pretty tough time back then. I was thinking 'God, you really let yourself go.' "Now I've got myself to a place where I'm like, I feel like I'm happy and I'm comfortable in my own skin again, if you know what I mean." Sam was chatting to The Sun about all things telly while enjoying some M&M'S, to launch Couch Confessions, a playful new pop-up experience coming to Battersea on 5th August, built around Britain's funniest (and most relatable) TV-watching habits. He opened up on his own TV watching habits, saying: 'I'm a pauser, I'm a talker, I'm a sub-titler, I'm a tea maker, I'm a fiddler.' The 33-year-old also said he was keen to buy a slanket, which boasts the unique features arm holes, foot pockets, and areas for snacks, so he could share it with his cats. Asked if his best mate Pete would be accompanying him in the slanket, Sam was quick to say: 'I'm not sharing it with anyone at the moment, it'll just be me and my cats in the slanket.'
