Marvel, a shelter dog on his way out for a walk, couldn't contain his excitement and accidently pulled the fire alarm that led to an evacuation of the building.
A volunteer from the Atlanta Humane Society came to walk a few of the dogs at the animal shelter, giving them a break from the loud environment, a chance to stretch their legs and release their energy. However, the plan backfired when Marvel, a terrier mix, took his excitement for the walk to the next level.
The security camera at the shelter captured Marvel jumping for joy as the volunteer started to walk toward the door, a common behavior for this dog.
"The volunteer says he always gets very jumpy and excited to go outside and play in the yards," a representative from the Atlanta Humane Society told Newsweek via Instagram.
Unable to control his emotions, the dog started bouncing off the walls and wagging his tail. He just so happened to hit his paws on the fire alarm, pulling the handle down.
The shelter's July 24 Instagram video, under the account @atlantahumane, showed Marvel's reaction once he realized the consequences of his actions. The fire alarm blared throughout the building. He paused, looked around without a clue that he had caused the alarm to go off.
"The entire staff did evacuate because it took a bit for word to circulate on why the alarm was going off," the representative told Newsweek.
Thankfully, it was all a misunderstanding. The shelter jokes that Marvel did it on purpose to get a future adopter's attention.
Marvel still awaits his forever home. This nearly 2-year-old dog is full of energy and loves to play in water. He's ready for an adventure at any moment, which the shelter believes he'll fit best with an active family. But he also has a sweet side, offering affection at any chance he can.
Marvel qualifies as a Foster First, a program that allows people to foster him for 14 days before adopting to ensure he is the perfect fit.

1 person dead and multiple injured in fireworks explosion at Mohamed Ramadan concert in Egypt
One person is dead and multiple others are injured after a fireworks display malfunction at a Mohamed Ramadan concert Thursday night in a resort town on the north coast of Egypt. One of the fireworks canisters exploded the moment Ramadan came out on stage at the Porto Marina Theater, killing a member of the show's technical team responsible for operating the fireworks, according to Egypt's semi-official newspaper Al Ahram. The incident also injured at least six people, per the outlet's English counterpart. Ramadan, an Egyptian actor and musician, posted a video statement to his Instagram about the incident, extending his condolences to a victim he called "Hossam." Al Ahram identified the victim as Hossam Abdel Moneim, a 24-year-old graduate from Ain Shams University who worked in party planning and special effects for over a decade. "I extend my condolences to the family of Hossam, may God have mercy on him and grant him a place in his spacious paradise," Ramadan said in the video. "And grant patience to his loved ones, and his friends, and heal those who were injured." Ramadan said that he stopped the concert immediately after he saw what had happened. "I handled it like any human would, I went down to the audience and I helped get the injured to the ambulance," he said. "And I stopped the concert, and helped guide people so that their departure doesn't cause any crowd surge or additional accidents." Ramadan did not identify the victim beyond a first name, but alluded in his statement that the victim was working during the concert. Videos depicting the incident began circulating on social media shortly afterwards. One video shows Ramadan performing as an explosion go off near the stage. Seconds later, Ramadan can be heard saying "Stop, stop, stop!" before the music comes to a halt. Another video shows people in the audience carrying the body of a man who appears to be injured or deceased. Ramadan, who can be seen on the stage, is heard speaking into the mic, instructing them to bring the body on stage. The incident is being investigated by Egypt's Public Prosecution Office, according to Al Ahram. Ramadan has been gaining international recognition in recent years, releasing songs with French Montana, Future and Gims. His song, "Rayheen Neshar - Bum Bum" began going viral on TikTok in 2020. The artist posted to his Instagram that he will be performing again on Friday at another venue on Egypt's north coast.

R-Truth Once Pitched Wild Idea For John Cena Feud
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE veteran R-Truth has revealed a fascinating, scrapped creative pitch that would have involved the current Undisputed WWE Champion, John Cena, in his recent character transformation. On a new podcast appearance, Truth explained his original idea for the memorable moment when he cut off his iconic dreadlocks. Speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, R-Truth (Ron Killings) said that he wanted his former hero, John Cena, to be the one to do the haircut. The moment would have been a powerful display of villainy from the newly-heel Cena. A Scrapped Moment of Villainy R-Truth explained his thought process behind the pitch. He felt that having the man his character had idolized for years be the one to shear his dreadlocks would have been a hugely impactful story. "(I was) actually trying to get (John) Cena to cut my hair. For real," Truth said. He acknowledged that the idea ultimately was not going to happen, but it was his initial pitch for the segment. A Bizarre and Beloved History The pitch was rooted in years of on-screen history between R-Truth and John Cena. During his popular "Little Jimmy" era, R-Truth's character viewed John Cena as his childhood hero. This one-sided admiration was a long-running and beloved part of Truth's comedic persona. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match A Fan-Fueled Comeback R-Truth was given the opportunity for this character reinvention after a whirlwind month. In June, it was reported that his WWE contract was not being renewed. The news was met with a massive outcry from both fans and his fellow WWE superstars, which led to the company reversing its decision and bringing him back at the Money in the Bank premium live event. Upon his return, he cut his dreadlocks and debuted a more serious demeanor, signaling a new chapter in his long career. While the company ultimately chose to have him cut his hair himself, his revelation about the original pitch provides a fascinating "what if" scenario and a glimpse into the kind of deep, character-driven storytelling that was considered. Jeremy Renner Plans to Return to Marvel: ‘My Body's Getting Ready'
Jeremy Renner is ready to step back into Hawkeye's suit. In a new interview with Empire, the actor said that he is 'sure' he will return as the Marvel superhero, either in a second season of Disney+ series Hawkeye or in a future MCU movie. 'I'm always happy to be in that world, man,' Renner said. 'I love all those guys, I love the character. I'm sure we'll end up doing Season 2 [of Hawkeye], and do other things. And I'm happy to do it. My body's getting ready for something like that. I don't know if anybody wants to see me in tights, but my body will look good in the tights.' 'I'm more than 150 per cent of what I was prior to the incident,' he told Empire. 'Having health and wellness be such a central part of my life, that's what's gotten me back. And even as I age, I just feel stronger than I've been. I have some issues, and tendon issues and certain limitations of flexibility and mobility, but I spent a lot of time on getting better and stronger, and I wouldn't if I didn't get crushed.' Earlier this year, Renner confirmed he previously passed on a second season of Hawkeye because he was offered 'half' of his pay from the first season. 'They asked me to do Season 2, and they offered me half the money,' the actor said. 'I'm like, 'Well, it's going to take me twice the amount of work for half the amount of money, and eight months of my time, essentially, to do it for half the amount.' He alluded that the reason behind the lower offer was due to his accident, which crushed more than 30 bones in his body. 'I'm like, 'I'm sorry? Why? Did you think I'm only half the Jeremy because I got ran over? Maybe that's why you want to pay me half of what I made on the first season,'' he said. The first season of Hawkeye debuted on Disney+ in 2021 and starred Renner alongside Hailee Steinfeld and Florence Pugh. Renner also appeared as the character in several Marvel films, including The Avengers.
