A number of Royal Navy exhibitions and vehicles are set to be on show at the 2025 Barclays Jersey Boat Show.
The event takes place in St Helier between 3 and 5 May, and offers visitors the chance to view an array of yachts and watercraft.
Among the marine attractions will be the Royal Navy's dive tank - which will showcase the skills of its expert divers, according to organisers.
The Royal Navy's Viking Personnel Armoured Vehicles, used in jungle, desert and arctic conditions to gather intelligence, outmanoeuvre enemies and provide fire support in battle, will also be on display.
New additions to this year's event include a landing craft vehicle and two combat raiding crafts.
As well as military exhibitions, the entertainment village at Weighbridge Place will host a line-up of local talent, organisers said.
Paul Savery, managing director and head of crown dependencies at Barclays, said: "I am immensely proud of our longstanding support for this vibrant event, which not only attracts the local Channel Islands community but draws participants from across the globe.
"With diverse exhibitors and activities for all ages on and off the water, it's a celebration like no other."
Captain Bill Sadler, Jersey's harbour master, added: "Over the years, the Barclays Jersey Boat Show has become a firm favourite in many people's calendars, as there really is something for everyone, and we look forward to welcoming everyone."

James Bond Is Back In A Vintage Aston Martin DBS In New '007 First Light' Video Game

The first trailer for "007 First Light," the new James Bond game from IO Interactive, the studio behind the "Hitman" series came out yesterday. Set in a universe separate from the books and films, it's a bit of an origin story for the character, depicting a 26-year-old Bond going on a mission that will take him out of the Royal Navy and grant him his 00 status. We don't know the lead actor for the game yet, but in the trailer Bond kinda looks like Ethan Hunt. I think the game looks pretty awesome both in terms of graphics and gameplay, with a nice visual style and a mix of stealth, gadgetry and combat. But we're really here for the cars, and the three-minute trailer shows what Bond drives in one of the very first shots. Though "007 First Light's" developers say the game isn't based on any previous 007 media, Bond's car is one that has been used in the movies before: An original Aston Martin DBS. Read more: These Are The Dumbest Looking Cars Of All Time, According To You The first-gen DBS was first sold in 1967 as a successor to the DB6, first coming with an inline-6 before a V8 was added in 1969. It was sold until 1972, after which it was replaced by the V8 and Vantage models. George Lazenby's Bond drove a brown 1969 DBS in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service," one of my favorites in the franchise. It's not exactly a fun automotive moment, though, as Bond's wife Tracy (played by the spectacular Diana Rigg) is shot and killed through the windshield. That movie's musical theme can be heard in "First Light's" trailer, too. You can also see a DBS being fitted with gadgets in Q's office in the 1971 film "Diamonds Are Forever," and of course its V8 Vantage successor was driven by Timothy Dalton in "The Living Daylights" and Daniel Craig in "No Time To Die." In the game's trailer we see Bond driving fast as hell and drifting the DBS along a mountain pass to chase a villian who's driving a red X150 Jaguar XK, an excellent baddie car choice. The banana yellow paint of Bond's DBS sure seems like a nod to the similarly colored DBS driven by Roger Moore in "The Persuaders," which ran from 1971 to 1972. I don't think this chase scene is just a cutscene, as parts of the trailer make it look like the player will get to do a lot of the driving (and drifting and crashing through fences). There also is a flash of another scene where Bond seems to be driving a garbage truck through a tunnel, and in another moment in Q's office there's a Triumph motorcycle with a flamethrower at the back and what looks like the new Aston Martin Valhalla under a cover. We can also see other real cars like the Land Rover Defender in the background of some scenes, so there's surely other real-life cars in the game as well. "007 First Light" will release in 2026 on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Want more like this? Photos Show British Aircraft Carrier Reaching Indo-Pacific Waters

The British aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales arrived in Indo-Pacific waters after passing through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea, as part of the Royal Navy flagship's deployment. The goal of the eight-month deployment is to reaffirm the United Kingdom's commitment to security in the Mediterranean and Indo-Pacific regions, the Royal Navy said on Tuesday. The Houthis-an Iran-backed armed group in Yemen-halted attacks in the Red Sea following a deal with the United States. Both sides exchanged fire in the crucial waterway from March to early May. The Prince of Wales left its home port in southern England in late April for a mission known as Operation Highmast. This will take the aircraft carrier to the Western Pacific Ocean via the Mediterranean and the Middle East for joint war games with U.K. allies and partners. The naval strike group led by the Prince of Wales completed what the Royal Navy called a safe passage through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea, arriving in the Indian Ocean from the Eastern Atlantic and the Mediterranean, marking the next stage of its global deployment. Officially released photos show that the U.K. Carrier Strike Group, which includes multiple British, Canadian, Norwegian, and Spanish naval vessels, completed the transit in late May. A U.S. destroyer, USS Truxtun, was also seen sailing with the strike group in the Red Sea. The presence of the Truxtun complicates any potential Houthi attempts to target non-U. S. ships within the carrier strike group, the specialist outlet The Maritime Executive said. The U.S. destroyer also operated alongside the Prince of Wales in the Mediterranean last month. The Royal Navy did not disclose whether the carrier strike group conducted any operations, including escorting shipping, while in the Red Sea, the specialist outlet Navy Lookout noted. During its transit in the Red Sea, the Prince of Wales launched its F-35B stealth fighter jets, according to photos released by the Royal Navy. These aircraft are designed for air-to-air and air-to-ground combat, as well as intelligence gathering and electronic warfare missions. Before departing Europe, the U.K. Carrier Strike Group conducted a naval exercise with the Italian Carrier Strike Group in the Ionian Sea, south of Italy, the Royal Navy said. The drill involved 21 warships, three submarines, 41 fighter jets, 19 helicopters, and 10 patrol aircraft. U.K. Defense Secretary John Healey said on April 22: "As one of only a few nations capable of leading a deployment of this scale, the Royal Navy is once again demonstrating that U.K. defense is strong, modern, and ready to meet the threats of today and tomorrow." Commodore James Blackmore, commander of the U.K. Carrier Strike Group, said on April 22: "Working closely with partners from across the globe, Operation Highmast will demonstrate credible deterrence and our support to NATO and the rules-based international order." It remains to be seen whether the Prince of Wales will have the opportunity to operate with American aircraft carriers when it reaches the Western Pacific Ocean during its deployment. Prince William's Cheeky Comment Caught on Video After Royal Fan Calls Kate ‘Beautiful'

These days, every Kate Middleton appearance is a great appearance—we're just so happy to see her after a year spent tending to her health. But when she stepped out last week to help christen the HMS Glasgow at the Royal Navy ship's official naming ceremony in Scotland, the Princess of Wales's presence felt extra showstopping. Maybe it was her navy coat dress or perhaps just the feeling of royal business as usual? Whatever it was, royal fans were so enthused about her unexpected appearance that one couldn't help but shout out their glee and offer a quick compliment to Kate. In a video shared to Instagram, Kate is shown waving to crowds while walking alongside her husband, Prince William, as the royal pair attend the event. That's when you hear a woman yell to the Princess of Wales from off-camera: 'You're beautiful!' Then, without missing a beat, she quickly (and a little bit sheepishly) adds: 'You too, William!' That's when William addresses the royal fan directly and with a rather witty retort: 'You didn't have to say that, don't worry!' he replies before taking Kate's to William for his sense of humor and for laughing off the praise that was mainly intended for Kate, then kindly amended to include him. After all, royal watchers are excited about all the royal things, but there's an extra special thrill that comes with seeing the fashion and what the Princess of Wales in particular chooses to wear (even if recent efforts are being made to downplay that part of the job). It made us instantly think back to the days of Prince Charles and Princess Diana—in particular their Australian tour—when an eagerness to be on the same side of the street as Diana sparked jealousy and an early rift in their marriage, according to the late princess's 1995 chat with the BBC. That's clearly not the case with William, which is why we love seeing the future king take it all in stride. In a lot of ways, his remark speaks to the state of his relationship with Kate on the other side of a bumpy time. But also, the pair is jointly beautiful, don't you think? Fingers crossed there will be more appearances together before summer hits. Kate Middleton Just Broke an Age-Old Fashion Rule—and It Signifies a Major Style Change
