New £62million train station will be made even bigger to welcome millions of passengers at UK Universal theme park
Officials estimate up to 12.5million passengers a year could visit the site in Bedfordshire.
Around 28,000 jobs will be created by the theme park bringing in £50 billion for the economy.
The park will create roughly 20,000 jobs during construction and a further 8,000 when it opens in 2031.
With such a large number of passengers expected to arrive by train, the construction of a new two-platform railway station near to the site has officially been put on hold.
Work had already started on building the station at Wixams in Bedfordshire.
More than £28m has already been spent on the project.
Bedford Borough Council had budgeted £62.6m for the original railway station plan, but more money will now be needed.

Conservative Mayor of Bedford Tom Wootton has rubber stamped the decision to terminate the existing agreement with Network Rail, reports the BBC.
Instead, design work will begin on a larger four-platform station to help accommodate the influx of tourists and visitors.
The Universal attraction will be divided into four main land areas known as the Core Zone, Lake Zone, West Gateway Zone and the East Gateway Zone.
Within these zones will be the theme park; retail and entertainment destinations; visitor accommodation including hotels, camping and caravanning; sport, recreation, leisure and spa facilities and conference and convention spaces.

The plans state: "[Guests will ] experience blockbuster attractions, adrenaline-pumping coasters, and mind-blowing spectaculars.
"They'll come face-to-face with incredible creatures, heroes, and villains.
"They'll discover great food, new laughs, new ways to play, and step into immersive worlds they've only ever dreamed of."
Termination clause
Construction on the original train station began in September 2024.
But the council had inserted a termination clause in anticipation of the Universal development potentially overtaking the existing plans.
Mayor Wootton approved the decision to scrap the original agreement on Friday, July 25.
Network Rail has halted further subcontract awards, according to Local Democracy Reporting Service.
Inside Universal Epic Universe with incredible thrill rides and amazing food
Work is focused on making the site safe and clearing materials, with the demobilisation expected to finish by the end of August.
The council had budgeted about £62m for the Wixams Station project and revised funding proposals will be laid out for councillors to examine.

Universal Studios being given the go-ahead for a UK theme park is welcome news for rollercoaster fans.
After the decade-long saga of the London Resort - a £3.5billion project dubbed the UK's Disneyland that was eventually scrapped - the new Universal park will be the first new theme park in the country in decades.
Backed by both locals and now the government, it will also be the first Universal park in the UK and could have a number of themed lands including Harry Potter, Super Mario and Minions, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
We have a way off until it opens, with it hoping to be ready by 2031.
But with our Head of Travel Lisa Minot having a sneak peak at the new Epic Universe theme park in Florida (opening this summer) – it's certainly an exciting addition to the UK.

Oasis fan who fell to his death at Wembley ‘slipped on beer'
An Oasis fan who fell to his death at the one of the band's Wembley gigs may have slipped on spilt beer, his father has claimed. Lee Claydon, 45, fell from the upper tier of the stadium on Saturday, moments after the band had finished their gig. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him but he died at the scene. It is believed Mr Claydon, a landscape gardener from Bournemouth, may have fallen as concertgoers were beginning to leave the stadium. Clive Claydon, his father, told The Sun his son was 'super excited' to be attending the Oasis reunion tour, having bought tickets a year ago. Mr Claydon snr, who was not at the concert, said he had been told his son's death was an 'accident waiting to happen'. He added: 'There was beer all over the floor, it was really slippery, and Lee just slipped and fell. 'I've been told that it was an accident waiting to happen. It was a horrible, horrible accident. 'All I really know is there was beer everywhere, he slipped, and we don't know the rest of it. 'I wasn't there so I don't know what happened, but it will all come out. I am so devastated. 'I can't understand how it happened, I've never been to Wembley, but you would expect the health and safety to be good. 'He has never taken drugs in his life and he may have had a beer. Who doesn't at a concert? But he certainly was not drunk. 'I want answers from Wembley about how it could have happened.' The Metropolitan Police have appealed for witnesses to contact them if they have any information or footage of the incident. A spokesman said: 'At around 22.19 on Saturday Aug 2, officers on duty at Wembley Stadium for the Oasis concert responded alongside venue medics and the London Ambulance Service to reports that a person had been injured. 'A man - aged in his 40s - was found with injuries consistent with a fall. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. 'The stadium was busy, and we believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or many knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.' A Wembley Stadium spokesman said: 'Wembley Stadium medics, the London Ambulance Service and the police attended to a concert-goer who was found with injuries consistent with a fall. 'Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. 'The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.'

Gregg Wallace gushes over ‘beautiful' wife on romantic anniversary picnic as MasterChef makes controversial return
GREGG Wallace called himself a "very lucky man" as he celebrated his ninth wedding anniversary today with "beautiful" wife Anna. The axed MasterChef star, 60, returned to Hever Castle, Kent, with Anne-Marie, 38, for a romantic picnic on the same day the latest series of the BBC cooking show controversially returned to screens featuring both of its fired hosts. 4 4 Series 21 was filmed before a report into Wallace's behaviour upheld 45 historical allegations of misconduct over a 17 year period. As part of the investigation Wallace's co-star John Torode was alleged to have used a racist term, though he maintains he did not. Today, Wallace, who is now marketing himself as a personal trainer, was all smiles as he filmed himself and Anna by the side of a lake. He said: "Hello, it's our wedding anniversary. How many years, Anna?" She replied: "Nine." The couple then giggled as they struggled to recall if they'd been together for 12 or 13 years. Wallace continued: "The theme is willow, so we've got a picnic basket and we're at Hever Castle because it's here we got married. "Look at this scene for a picnic. Beautiful setting, beautiful wife. I'm a very lucky man." One follower commented: "Happy faces for a happy anniversary - I bet it was a lovely picnic too." Another said: "Lovely location for a wedding anniversary picnic." Shamed Gregg Wallace says 'I'm no groper, sex pest or flasher,' as tearful star refuses to accept blame for BBC sacking A third posted: "Lovely location for a wedding anniversary picnic." Those who tuned into MasterChef today on BBC iPlayer noticed the show had been edited to minimise the amount of banter between hosts Torode and Wallace. As the six amateur cooks made their first dishes for the pair, viewers noted how their usual breezy interactions were virtually non-existent. Prior to the show airing, contestant Sarah Shafi, from Leeds, revealed how she was allegedly offered the opportunity to be edited out of the series after claiming it shouldn't be broadcast. Ms Shafi, 57, told the Guardian: 'I didn't say edit me out. 'I said: 'Axe the show, don't air the show. I'm asking you not to air the show.' Prominent figures have been abusing their power. "What message does that send out to women?" MasterChef facts MASTERCHEF has been a staple BBC series for years - but what are the key details? MasterChef launched on BBC One back in 1990 It ran until 2001, then was revived in 2005 as MasterChef Goes Large John Torode joined the revamped series in 2005, where he teamed up with Gregg Wallace as hosts Controversial moments? In March 2018, Gregg refused to judge Zaleha Kadir Olpin's stewed chicken rendang dish as he claimed it was 'not crispy enough and could not be eaten.' Ms Sharif alleged there was an "enabling environment" and a pattern of "institutions not being accountable". She also claimed there was a "heated conversation" when she tried to voice her opinions with a producer. Once the corporation confirmed the season was going ahead, Ms Sharif agreed to be edited out. The Sun contacted a representative for MasterChef for comment. 4 4 THE AXE FALLS Wallace was the first of the two hosts to be sacked back on July 10, with the BBC citing that they doubted his ability to change 'learned behaviour' as a reason for his axing. The report concluded that Gregg, who was diagnosed as autistic midway through the investigation, "struggled to distinguish the boundaries between appropriate and inappropriate behaviour in the workplace.' The findings also referenced reputational damage to the Corporation in light of comments Wallace has made about it since he was taken off air. Wallace has hosted MasterChef alongside Torode since 2005 and has also fronted other BBC programmes including Inside the Factory and Supermarket Secrets. In late 2024, it was reported that the BBC had been made aware of complaints dating back to 2017, while it was claimed that a letter had been sent to the broadcaster in 2022 stating that women had been made to feel 'uncomfortable' in his presence. However, he has been cleared of the most serious allegations, including those made by high profile names including Kirsty Wark and Penny Lancaster. He also backed Torode, insisting: 'He is not a racist.'

Benjamin Sesko boasts Cristiano Ronaldo-esque leap set to strike fear in Premier League defenders upon Man Utd move
BENJAMIN SESKO is finally making the leap into the Premier League. After choosing Manchester United ahead of Newcastle, the RB Leipzig striker will be delighted if he can make half the impact of another forward known for gravity-defying jumps at Old Trafford, namely Cristiano Ronaldo. 9 9 9 Eight years ago, when still in his native Slovenia, Sesko posted an incredible video of him flying so high he could kick out at a basketball hoop — the global standard height is TEN FEET or just over three metres. In slow motion, the footage shows him jumping towards the backboard and dislodging a ball from the rim with his foot. This video eventually came to the attention of the recruitment department at Red Bull Salzburg and they started tracking this freak of nature. Aged 16, Sesko would eventually head to Austria. He spent four years there then moved to Red Bull stablemates Leipzig to become one of the most feared strikers in Europe. Sesko now stands at 6ft 5in and can jump not far off a further four feet, which is extraordinary. He is literally head and shoulders above his peers. United boss Ruben Amorim will utilise Sesko's super-human strength this season to finally help the Red Devils restore their bite in front of goal. Sesko's aerial ability, speed and power make him a real threat. He will certainly give defences food for thought — fuelled by plenty of protein. His breakfast consists of FOUR fried eggs, yoghurt with berries, muesli and freshly-squeezed fruit juice. For lunch, Sesko has chicken, rice, carrots and broccoli, with two slices of bread, followed by a fruit salad featuring mango, watermelon and pineapple. Bruno Fernandes branded 'proper captain' for his miserable trophy 'celebration' after Man Utd win Prem Summer Series Dinner is salmon with potato and a tomato and cucumber salad, before finishing the day with yet more muesli, this time livened up with some Quark cheese, cashew nuts, kiwi fruit and blueberries. His approach is bearing fruit, and although Sesko's shot accuracy and conversion rate need to improve with experience, he could be a huge success for the Red Devils over the next few years. It is turning into a nightmare for Newcastle, especially with star striker Alexander Isak looking to leave with Liverpool heavily linked. Meanwhile, the Old Trafford side will get a player who at Salzburg was known as the 'new Erling Haaland', with Manchester City's Norwegian star having made his mark at the club before leaving for Borussia Dortmund. 9 9 9 9 Sesko's leap only became famous a few years ago and until he began to flourish in Salzburg, was largely unknown. Yet as he found his feet in Austria, he moved to Leipzig and then started to terrorise Bundesliga defences. Sesko has remained a shy person and rarely gives an insight into his private life on Instagram unlike other players. Right now, you could argue, Sesko's possible future brother-in-law is actually more famous across the UK than him. His girlfriend, Anita, is the sister of Boris who has recently starred on Love Island. Sesko will form part of a new, three-pronged attacking dream team with £62.5million Matheus Cunha and £65m Bryan Mbuemo. The three scored 48 league goals between them last season, which is more than the entire United team managed in the Prem (44). Amorim opting for this line-up would mean skipper Bruno Fernandes dropping back into a deeper midfield role instead of occupying a No 10 spot himself. 9 9 Since August 2023, striker Sesko has been the top-scoring player in Europe aged under 23. He has struck 39 times, one ahead of midfield pair Jude Bellingham of Real Madrid and five more than Liverpool new boy Florian Wirtz. After Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich (33) is Rasmus Hojlund with 26 goals. Yet United have been willing to listen to offers for Hojlund, and are ready to accept as little as £30m for the player they paid £64m for in 2023, although the Dane still wants to fight for his place in Manchester. Born just a few months before Sesko in 2003, Hojlund still has work to do but it might not be the worst thing for United — if they can afford to keep him — to allow him to grow alongside Sesko. You could see why joining Newcastle would have been a good option for Sesko. A side featuring in the Champions League this season and one where he could become a hero. Yet United are the biggest club in England and while they are not in European competition this term, their time will come again. With his three-pronged strikeforce and the genius of Fernandes pulling the strings behind them, Amorim's men could be a force in the Premier League this season.
