13 companies commit to 2026 edition of BT Corporate Golf League, with more to come
First, it brings out the competitive element from the participants who have raised the standards this year with many golfers playing better than the cut-off of 40 points on the modified stableford system.
And second, it serves as a platform for networking, as evidenced by the players from the accounting firm CLA Global TS team who pay scant attention to the scores.
Even before this season's fifth and final leg on Friday (May 9), more companies have stepped up to pledge their support to participate in next year's league.
In recognising the benefits of the two main values, three more companies have pledged their support for next year's event.
At a dinner after the fourth leg on Apr 25, KPMG, OCBC Bank and Orchid Country Club confirmed their participation in the 2026 edition, taking the total number of teams to 13.

The other companies are Singapore Pools, SPH Media, Mitsubishi Electric, Cartimes, CLA Global TS, Gayatri, Singapore Global Trust, Simply Golf, Paragon Reit and UOB.
Several other companies are expected to confirm their participation after the final leg at Sentosa Golf Club's Serapong Course.
Inclement weather reduces fourth-leg action
After the fourth leg, just four teams remain in contention for this season's championship. The action at Orchid Country Club was reduced to nine holes after disruption due to lightning and rain.
Singapore Global Trust stayed on top of the standings with a total of 385 points after a 56-point haul from the trio of Kenneth Oh (20 points), Winson Oh (18) and Jimmy Wong (18).
The team from Orchid Country Club is not far behind as they reduced the gap to two points, thanks to a 59-point total. They were buoyed by Gavin De Luna, the individual champion in the competitive category, and Cheng Keng Hui (both 20 points); as well as Francis Ong (19).
Team Boss, with a 377-point total after taking 51 points from the fourth leg, remain third – six points ahead of Gayatri (54 points for a total of 371) in the nine-team competition.
Solid play and a dose of luck helped De Luna, a 44-year-old financial analyst, claim both the individual and team honours after his two birdies on a course that is very familiar to him as he plays there in the Singapore Golf Association League.
'I played a good round, but I was also lucky that my double-bogey on the 11th hole spared me as it was not counted in the nine-hole event,' said the 10.8-handicapper.
'I started badly with a bogey and double-bogey, three putting both holes. But I bounced back well with a string of birdies and pars, and then had to thank the golfing gods for some luck.'
The best social player was Mitsubishi Electric's Ke Yam Cheong (handicap 12) who amassed 22 points, capped at 20.
Vincent Khua (handicap 2.3), a former national player representing Team Boss, hit the longest drive of the fourth leg with 292 metres on the par-5 452-metre Aranda seventh hole which he birdied.

Fresh from a 15th crown earned from 142 metropolitan winners, Sydney's premier trainer Chris Waller is unlikely to rest on his laurels at the first city meeting of the new 2025-26 season on Aug 2. The Kiwi-born horseman saddles his usual strong squad of 16 runners at the Rosehill Gardens 10-race programme. Unfortunately, Singapore viewers will not get to see the running of the race honouring his latest title, the Congratulations Chris Waller Handicap as the race slated as Race 10 in Sydney is not part of the Singapore Pools' Australia card. But they can certainly take a good look at two of his smart prospects in the earlier part of the afternoon, Sister Daae, a solid each-way chance, and Concordia Wind, a value bet, in Races 5 and 7 respectively on Pools' card. Sister Daae is only the second pick in a Benchmark 78 race, the A$160,000 (S$134,000) Congratulations James McDonald Handicap (1,400m), after the Peter Snowden-trained Tuileries, who is all the rage to score a sentimental win for Sydney's gun jockey, recently anointed its champion for the ninth time. A four-year-old daughter of So You Think, Tuileries chalked up back-to-back wins at Canterbury and Randwick in December, earning a shot at the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1,400m) on the Gold Coast on Jan 17. From the outermost alley in the field of 18, she still finished an eye-catching seventh to Bosustow after settling well back. She was sent an odds-on favourite at her racing comeback at Rosehill on July 19, but was left with too much to do from a rearward spot in a muddling-run affair. She still closed in late for fourth, around ¾ length off the winner Useapin. With that first run under the belt and the extra 200m, Tuileries is widely expected to hit the target this time, but Sister Daae could be a tough nut to crack. At her last start in a Benchmark 72 event (1,500m) at Rosehill on July 19, the Zoustar four-year-old mare should have won if not for having to change course twice. She still ran a head second to Amusing. Rising star Zac Lloyd, who was aboard at that torrid run, will certainly be keen to make amends. While Sister Daae is unproven on a heavy track, it should not be much of a question mark as Zoustar's progeny are noted swimmers. In the very next race, the shorter Benchmark 72 event over 1,200m named as the Congratulations Braith Nock Handicap in a nod to Sydney's new champion apprentice jockey, Concordia Wind may not be Waller's best bet of the day, but at 16-1, she represents superb value. Racing in the same Hermitage green and red silks as Sister Daae, the Justify four-year-old mare showed ability with three wins from seven starts, but is resuming from a nine-month spell, which may explain the cool reception. However, she did not show any signs of ring-rustiness at a Randwick barrier trial on July 22 when she was pushed out late to run a head-second to Mamushka. Should her long odds still deter some, her one-from-one record on a heavy track can certainly help them take the plunge. The winning numbers in Toto Draw 4035, held at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, were 7, 19, 20, 21, 22, 29, with 37 as the additional number. Interestingly, the draw featured four consecutive numbers, 19, 20, 21, and 22. Such a sequence is believed to be a first in the history of Singapore Pools' Group 1 prize wins. According to Singapore Pools' official website, the life-changing prize was claimed through a QuickPick Ordinary Entry placed via an online betting account, making the unnamed winner the sole recipient of the top prize after three consecutive draws with no Group 1 winner. The draw had seen its jackpot swell past the S$10 million mark due to the rollover. This latest win surpasses the previous single-ticket record set on June 19, when a lone winner walked away with S$12.32 million. This previous record stood for just over six weeks. $12.8m Toto jackpot won by single ticket bought online, Singapore News
A single ticket bought online snagged over $12.8 million in prize money at the latest Toto cascade draw on Thursday (July 31). The winning ticket was bought through the Singapore Pools account betting service under the QuickPick Ordinary Entry and was the only one with the winning number combination. The winning numbers were 7, 19, 20, 21, 22, 29, and the additional number was 37. The Toto draw yielded no Group 1 winners in the previous three draws, causing the jackpot to snowball from around $1.2 million on July 21, to $2.9 million on July 24 and $5.8 million on July 28 draw. A cascade draw is triggered when there are no Group 1 winners for three consecutive draws. The jackpot can only snowball up to the fourth draw under Toto rules. There were 20 Group 2 winners who shared the prize of $73,408. Data from Singapore Pools, which tracks all lottery draws since Oct 9, 2014, showed that the Group 1 prize on Thursday was the third highest single winning share, just behind two other prizes that exceeded $13 million. Thursday's draw is the eighth Toto draw of 2025 that had a jackpot of over $10 million, with the most recent one being on July 17, where the prize of $12.8 million was split among 12 Group 2 tickets.
