Amlak Finance announces early, full settlement of outstanding financing facilities
Since the initial restructuring under the Common Terms Agreement (CTA) in 2014, Amlak has successfully settled AED10.2 billion with a total of 29 financiers.
As of 24th July 2025, Amlak has fully settled its financial obligations, which were contractually scheduled to be settled by October 2026, by paying the balance amount of AED898 million to the six remaining financiers ahead of schedule, which is a key step towards the formal CTA exit.
Over the past few years, the settlement of financial obligations has been one of the most significant challenges. The Board of Directors and leadership team have exerted exceptional efforts in this regard to actively engage with the financiers and settle the obligations. These dedicated efforts have been instrumental in achieving this key milestone.
This achievement was further reinforced by a series of strategic steps, including the sale of some land assets, which aligned with the company's long-term vision and facilitated the early settlement with the financiers.
Commenting on the early settlement, Arif Albastaki, CEO of Amlak Finance PJSC, said, 'The successful settlement ahead of time, marked by the early fulfilment of our financial obligations, signifies a pivotal moment for Amlak. This achievement not only underscores our commitment to a robust financial framework but also reflects our resolve to deliver on our promises and empowers us to embark on our transformative journey with renewed vigour.

Agthia delivers resilient underlying Q2 results
Abu Dhabi, UAE: Agthia Group PJSC (AGTHIA:UH; or the 'Group') today announced its financial results for the second quarter and first half of 2025, underscoring continued progress on strengthening its core, streamlining operations, and building the foundation for sustainable value creation. Reflecting Agthia's disciplined approach to capital allocation and focus on sustainable value creation, the Board of Directors has recommended an interim cash dividend of 10.31 fils per share for H1 2025, subject to shareholder approval at the next general assembly meeting. This decision highlights the Board of Directors' confidence in the underlying business performance. Agthia reported Q2 2025 revenue of AED 1.14 billion, up 5.9% year-on-year. First-half Group revenue reached AED 2.42 billion, with Underlying EBITDA at AED 280.1 million and Underlying Net Profit at AED 96.3 million. Profitability was impacted by the ongoing repositioning of the dates business, softness in the Protein & Frozen segment, and higher input costs for cocoa and coffee. Agthia continued to demonstrate solid performance in Q2 2025. The Water & Food segment recorded its thirteenth consecutive quarter of revenue growth, with H1 revenues up 15.3% year-on-year, driven by strong consumer demand, robust brand equity, and the integration of Riviere Mineral Water Desalination & Filling Factory LLC ('Riviere'). Agri-Business delivered its eighth consecutive quarter of EBITDA growth, with margins expanding to 17.6% during Q2 2025, supported by strong feed and flour volumes and disciplined execution. The Snacking segment maintained topline momentum, growing 5.0% year-on-year in Q2, led by Abu Auf's strong performance in Egypt. The Protein & Frozen segment posted softer revenues, impacted mainly by a slower performance in Egypt. Profitability was affected by input cost pressures and the ongoing scale-up of the new Saudi facility. Agthia continued to advance its innovation, digital, and ESG priorities as part of its long-term value creation strategy. Innovation contributed AED 83.3 million to Group growth in H1 2025, supported by notable launches across segments. On the digital front, platform enhancements improved customer experience and drove stronger e-commerce performance. As part of its ongoing commitment to ESG, Agthia was named Sustainable Brand Owner of the Year 2025 in recognition of its leadership in recyclable packaging and continued community engagement through initiatives like the 'Million Pieces of Bread' campaign. Dubai real estate: Record AED3 billion land sale completed near Dubai Creek Harbour
Knight Frank has brokered one of the largest land sales in Dubai's history, closing a landmark AED 3 billion transaction for a prime masterplan plot near Emaar Creek Harbour, the firm confirmed on Monday. The transaction was completed on behalf of Amlak Property Investments and includes transfer fees in its final value. The buyer was not disclosed. Largest land transaction in Dubai's history The deal, described as the largest ever completed by a broker and the third-largest arm's-length land sale in the city's history, was led by Andy Love, Head of Capital Markets at Knight Frank Middle East, alongside team members James Cresswell MRICS and Dervla Duncan-Cox, according to a LinkedIn post from Knight Frank. 'This milestone underscores the strength of investor confidence in Dubai's long-term vision and the enduring appeal of its real estate market,' the firm said on LinkedIn. The sale also contributes to a personal record for Knight Frank's capital markets team, which has now transacted over AED 7 billion worth of real estate in the past 12 months — the highest ever by any broker in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), according to the company. Located near the fast-developing Dubai Creek Harbour, the sold plot sits in one of the emirate's most strategically positioned growth corridors, underlining ongoing demand for large-scale land deals linked to long-term urban expansion. The record-setting transaction comes amid sustained investor appetite for high-value real estate assets in Dubai, particularly from institutional buyers seeking large, income-generating masterplan opportunities.
