He acknowledged that his lack of public praise still bothers him. 'Personal praise is common in this industry, but public acknowledgement is rare. Sandeep did both, and that takes a secure and generous person. The first thing my wife told me was that it takes confidence to praise someone publicly like that. I completely agree,' Suri shared.
Mutual Respect Despite Different Styles
Suri also addressed Vanga's earlier comment about how many people appreciated 'Animal' privately but chose not to do so publicly.
He explained that he wasn't on social media during that time as he needed space to focus on making 'Saiyaara', especially since the film featured debutants and carried its own weight.
Despite working in different genres, both Suri and Vanga are fans of each other's films and continue to share mutual respect for each other's craft.

Hundreds of vehicles get stuck in massive traffic jam in Gurgaon, netizens compare it to Bengaluru

A video of a traffic-choked road in Gurgaon has caught the Internet's attention, triggering widespread reactions. The footage showcases the daily ordeal of commuters stuck in heavy traffic during rush hours, a sight that stunned many users. However, some users, in the comments, shared that they have grown used to it. The now-viral video, reportedly filmed near Cyber Hub in Gurgaon's Sector 24, shows hundreds of vehicles crawling along a busy highway, barely moving forward. The footage has racked up over half a million views, along with thousands of likes and comments across social media. Sharing the video, an Instagram handle @nomadic_ankit_ wrote, 'Ab fark nahi padta (It doesn't bother anymore)' with 'Ab toh aadat see hai mujhko aise jeene ki,' playing in the background, a line from a popular Bollywood song that loosely translates to, 'Now I've gotten used to living like this.' Watch the viral video here: A post shared by Ankit Tiwari (@nomadic_ankit_) While many viewers were shocked by the extent of the congestion, others shared hilarious reactions. 'Problem is people made this norm. No one's complaining to the government,' a user wrote. 'Most of the people don't have driving sense….and create chaos,' another user commented. 'Why is it not mandatory for organizations having more than say 200 employees to have atleast one bus service,' a third user reacted. 'What Gurgaon needs is, a metro that connects huda to igi and a bridge that takes people coming from Gurgaon to expressway directly without cybercity traffic. That bottleneck/ curve is a nightmare,' a fourth user said. 'So true, the condition is very bad here. Giving a tough competition to Bangalore,' another user chimed in. Recently, heavy rainfall in Gurgaon severely affected the city's road infrastructure, leaving several major routes damaged. Among the worst-affected are two key roads managed by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), which developed deep potholes and visible cracks after the downpour, the reports said.

As Saiyaara hits theatres, the romantic drama has started receiving love not just from fans but also from celebrities. Sonakshi Sinha also shared a heartfelt congratulatory message for the debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The film has been creating records and going strong at the box office. So happy for you guys, welcome to the movies, enjoy the ride!" She also gave a big shout-out to director Mohit Suri, adding, 'Killed it yet again @mohitsuri". Earlier, Arjun shared a post reading 'What a film'. In the background we can hear the music of Saiyaara. On Saturday, July 19, Saiyaara, recorded an overall 44.74% Hindi occupancy, indicating growing audience interest. The day began with 28.14% occupancy during morning shows, which increased significantly by the afternoon to 50.67%, and further rose in the evening with 55.40% occupancy. Backed by Yash Raj Films, Saiyaara is making waves not just for its impressive box office numbers but also for its unexpected promotional playbook. What makes Saiyaara's strong opening even more surprising is that neither Ahaan nor Aneet had any major visibility before the release. For director Mohit Suri, this could be the comeback he's been waiting for since Ek Villain, which was made on a Rs 39 crore budget and grossed Rs 155 crore worldwide. Earlier, filmmaker Mahesh had said, 'Every generation has love story that defines it. Saiyaara, to me, will be the most definitive romantic film of this generation. When I made Aashiqui, I did it with a lot of purity and I was fortunate that people connected to it deeply and made the two newcomers into overnight stars. I expect Mohit Suri to do the same with Saiyaara." With strong weekend momentum and positive word of mouth, Saiyaara is looking at a strong Sunday and a solid opening weekend total. On the work front, Sonakshi Sinha is currently seen in Nikita Roy. It features Sonakshi as an investigator who exposes fake supernatural claims — until she faces a case that challenges her own beliefs. The film co-stars Arjun Rampal and Paresh Rawal.
