WHEN I'M WITH YOU: 5 Fun Facts About BLACKPINK Lisa's New Single & MV With Tyla
The music video premiered last Friday (16th May) and has already surpassed 5 million views on YouTube. To celebrate this impressive milestone, let's take a closer look at the song and the visuals that brought it to life.
1. The MV featured the Bose × Lisa Ultra Open Earbuds collab
In case you missed it, Lisa has partnered with tech brand Bose for a limited-edition release of the Ultra Open Earbuds collection. The product makes an appearance at the start of the music video, where the idol is seen putting them on just as the song begins to play.
2. It is Lisa's 3rd single with a featured artist
Following the release of her debut single 'ROCKSTAR' from the 'Alter Ego' album, Lisa has dropped five additional singles, two of which are collaborations. She previously teamed up with Rosalía on 'New Woman' and with Doja Cat and RAYE on 'BORN AGAIN'. Her latest track, 'WHEN I'M WITH YOU' featuring Tyla, marks her third collaborative single to date.
3. It was filmed at the iconic Paramour Estate
If you think the filming location looked familiar, it's because it is. Paramour Estate, also known as the Canfield-Moreno Estate, is a historic residence situated in the Moreno Highlands neighbourhood of Silver Lake, Los Angeles, California. The location rose to prominence once again after the legendary Britney Spears filmed the music video for her 2004 hit 'My Prerogative' — a cover of Bobby Brown's original track.
4. The MV had several star cameos
Lisa and Tyla's new music video features a handful of special appearances. In addition to actor Mason Gooding, spotted shirtless next to the BLACKPINK member, 'Love Island USA' couple Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi also make a cameo, seen leaving the villa for a romantic poolside date night.
5. It was directed by Olivia De Camps
If you're unfamiliar with Olivia De Camps, then you might be familiar with her work. She's the mastermind behind multiple music videos and short films, including Rebecca Black's 'Trust' and 'Salvation', Marina's 'CUNTISSIMO', and our very own Yuna's 'I'll Show You'.

Blackpink to drop new album this year, label says
Details on group's comeback will be shared at a later time through official promotion. — Photo: YG Entertainment K-pop juggernaut Blackpink will be releasing a new album later this year. "Details on the group's comeback and the upcoming album will be released at a later time through our official promotions," a senior official at YG Entertainment told The Korea Herald on Monday. "The plan for the album release keeps changing, so there is not much we can say at this point," the official added, declining to comment further. Rumors about the band's highly anticipated return surfaced earlier in the day after a local media outlet reported that the K-pop act is gearing up for a November comeback. Reports added that the girl group has already completed the cover shoot for the album and plans to finish recording the new songs. After the album's release, Blackpink is also expected to appear on music shows to promote the album. When it is released, it will mark the group's first album in three years. The group's second full-length album, Born Pink , came out in September 2022, just before Blackpink embarked on a world tour. In July, the girl group dropped the digital single Jump , which is a hard techno genre track co-produced and co-written by Diplo. Featuring guitar riffs reminiscent of Western films, Jump showcases the quartet's distinct vocals. Soon after its release, Jump topped Spotify's weekly top songs global chart, marking the group's second time capturing the highest spot on the list, following Shut Down , the lead track from its second full album. Currently, Blackpink is on a world tour under the banner of Deadline , which kicked off in Korea on July 5. The group will take a two-month break after a show in London on Saturday, then return to the stage on Oct 18 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. — The Korea Herald/Asia News Network

#SHOWBIZ: Hot FM's record-breaking Kinabalu campaign shines at APPIES Malaysia 2025
KUALA LUMPUR: Hot FM, a radio station under Media Prima Audio (MPA), has further strengthened its reputation for innovation by earning a Recognition Merit in the Best in Innovation category at APPIES Malaysia 2025. According to Berita Harian, the award was given for the station's groundbreaking 'Bekpes Hot Tawan Puncak Kinabalu' campaign, held in November last year. The campaign made history by successfully broadcasting live for 24 continuous hours from the summit of Mount Kinabalu — a feat officially recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) as the first of its kind in the country. The expedition, held between Nov 14 and 15 last year, featured presenters Khairy Jamaluddin (KJ), Johan, Fara, and AG, alongside expedition partners such as Datuk Muqharabbin Mokhtarrudin and Dr Hazwan Khair. Although Fara Fauzana had to stop at Laban Rata due to health reasons, the mission was completed with remarkable teamwork and camaraderie. The campaign achieved over 60 million total views, with 38 million views for the 24-hour live stream alone, as well as five million engagements across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. It also boosted tourism bookings for up to 10 months in advance. MPA Group Network Director, Shah Hayatudin, said the recognition proves Hot FM's ability to deliver high-impact experiences. "This is not just something you can hear, but also something you can see, feel, and remember," he said in a statement. Senior Content Director of Hot FM, Raja Khairil Idris Raja Aznan, described the APPIES Malaysia 2025 win as a symbol of fighting spirit and family values. "This is the foundation of Hot FM's relationship with its fans," he said. The campaign was supported by Kopi SUPER as the main sponsor, ANBOT as co-sponsor, Firefly as the official airline partner, and Amazing Borneo as the strategic partner. Its mission was to prove that Hot FM is more than just a radio station by taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kinabalu while maintaining an uninterrupted live broadcast — showcasing both endurance and technical innovation. "As the first Malaysian radio station to take on such an extraordinary feat, Hot FM has reinforced its commitment to remain relevant and close to the hearts of listeners," said Raja Khairil. He added that the achievement reflected the team's spirit: "The perseverance and camaraderie of KJ, Johan, and AG in supporting Fara, who pushed herself to reach Laban Rata despite many challenges, is proof of their solidarity. These are the values Hot FM brings, standing by its fans no matter the situation. That's why Hot FM remains Malaysia's number one choice."
