Jessica Alba and Danny Ramirez Are Enjoying Their 'Very New' Romance

THE RUNDOWN
Months after Jessica Alba filed for divorce from Cash Warren, the actress is getting back into dating—and is enjoying a 'very new' romance with actor Danny Ramirez, a source told People on July 17, 2025.
The two stars were photographed returning from a vacation in Mexico, sparking rumors about their relationship. Neither Ramirez nor Alba has commented publicly on their status, but multiple sources have discussed about their connection.
Here's what to know about Ramirez and his history with Alba.
It wasn't love at first sight for Alba and Ramirez. A source told Us Weekly on July 16, 2025 that the two stars 'were friends before it turned romantic,' and that the actress 'is still keeping things casual.'
'[They] have a lot of mutual friends,' the source explained. 'They run in the same social circle, and that is how they were connected. [They] have been keeping things low-key for the last month.'
On July 14, TMZ posted photos of the two stars boarding a flight from Cancún to Los Angeles, which set off speculation about their relationship.
Three days later, Page Six reported that Alba and Ramirez were romantically involved, though the actress was 'not in that frame of mind' for exclusivity and was 'looking to just have fun' following her divorce.
A source told the outlet that Ramirez is 'cool, a nice guy, and he is enamored with her.'
That same day, a source told People they were dating, but it's 'very new. They're having a good time together.'
Ramirez has built an enviable career in both television and film. He first gained attention in Top Gun: Maverick as Lt. Mickey 'Fanboy' Garcia, and later joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Joaquin Torres in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. He reprised that role in the Captain America: Brave New World movie, which was released in February 2025.
He had a major television role in 2025 as well, appearing in season 2 of HBO's The Last of Us as Manny Alvarez.
Ramirez was born in Chicago on Sept. 17, 1992, and later moved to Miami. 'As a little kid, I was like, 'There's only one thing I'm going to be when I grow up, and it's a pro athlete,'' he told Empire in February 2025.
He originally pursued soccer and briefly played at Oglethorpe University before an ankle injury changed his plans.
From there, Ramirez enrolled in NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he honed his craft in New York's indie theater and film scene. In a 2022 Interview discussion, he credited that early hustle as one of the times he's worked the hardest. 'Fall semester sophomore year at NYU Tisch. Hamlet, Mark Antony, Hotspur, Shylock, amongst other roles while continuing to audition,' he recalled.
Ramirez has spoken openly about the mentorship he's received from actors like Tom Cruise and Anthony Mackie. 'To this day, we text all the time; [Cruise] replies faster than anyone I know,' he told Men's Health in February 2025.
Ramirez said Mackie helped him understand the Marvel cast's collaborative spirit early on. 'Being in the MCU is like being in a theater troupe. Everyone here has been working together for the past 15 years,' he told Lewis Pullman in a February 2025 Interview story.
For his role in Captain America: Brave New World, Ramirez took his physical preparation seriously, telling Men's Health that he dropped 17 pounds.
'I wanted to look as shredded as Bruce Lee,' he said. Ramirez emphasized that his transformation was natural. He relied on clean eating and intense exercise: 'The entire meal plan structure was around, essentially, how do I sustain doing two-a-days around mixed martial arts and weight lifting?'
Before his romance with Alba, Ramirez kept his personal life under wraps. There's no confirmed record of past relationships, and he's spoken more frequently about his passion for acting, family, and fitness than his dating history.
His relationship with Alba appears to be his first publicly known one. 'Jessica hasn't been in the dating game for decades, so she is having fun with it right now,' a source told Us Weekly on July 16, 2025.
Ramirez has spoken about the significance of portraying a Latino superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In his February 2025 interview with Men's Health, he reflected on why 'it means a lot' to represent his culture on such a global stage.
'I'm gonna be able to tell every story I want to tell,' Ramirez said. 'But what gets me excited—and it took my grandma to realize this—my grandma sent me a picture from Mexico, holding a stuffed toy of Falcon. A McDonald's Happy Meal toy. I was like, 'Whoa, shit.' I didn't do this to get the toy, but the fact that I was a toy…subconsciously, as a kid, I developed a relationship toward characters and the actors who portrayed them. It's incredible to think that could be happening somewhere, whether they're Latino or not—that they connect with me, and it opens up their imagination.'
In a February 2025 interview with ESPN's SportsCenter@Night, Ramirez shared how growing up around the Miami Hurricanes football program shaped his ambition. 'What the Hurricanes represent to me is the opportunity and permission to be great,' he said. 'Being around that as a kid is something you can't trade for anything.'
He's carried that drive into his career. When asked what he hopes to leave behind, he told Interview in 2022: 'A wave.'

Mahershala Ali's ‘Blade' Is Still Happening: Kevin Feige Says Initial Project ‘Wasn't Insanely Great at the Time'

'Mahershala Ali is still attached,' Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed at a press event on July 18 (via Variety), bringing some clarity to the long-awaited new 'Blade' entry in the MCU. Just last month, while promoting 'Jurassic World Rebirth,' Ali was evasive while discussing the project. 'Leave me out of it,' Ali said when his 'Jurassic World' co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey attempted to prod him on a Marvel-related trivia question. 'That's a Scarlett question.' In a separate interview with Variety at the 'Rebirth' premiere, he said. 'Call Marvel… I'm ready. Let them know I'm ready.' More from IndieWire Madelyn Cline Reveals 'Last Summer' Ending Was Shot One Month Before Release David Corenswet: Superman Character Has Been 'Over-Simplified' Onscreen Now, Feige says the project, originally set for release November 2025, says that Marvel simply got weighed down with projects due to the 'over-expansion' of the brand. With the increased demand for product, Feige explained, 'for the very first time ever, quantity trumped quality.' 'We had spent 12 years working on the Infinity Saga, saying, 'That's never going to happen to us.' We always had more characters that people were asking about than we could possibly make, because we weren't going to make a movie a month — that's crazy. Suddenly there's a mandate to make more, and we go, 'Well, we do have more' … But maybe that's what we fell into,' he lamented. Feige went on to explain that they didn't want to 'just put a leather outfit on [Ali] and have him start killing vampires.' Instead, Marvel Studios wanted something 'unique,' and Feige added of the initial scripts, 'It wasn't insanely great at the time.' So, despite Ali's casting announcement in 2019 and his brief voice cameo in 2021's 'Eternals,' the two-time Oscar-winning actor has yet to take on the role originated on film by Wesley Snipes. 'We didn't feel like, as we often do, you can have a good script and make it a great script through production. We didn't feel confident that we could do that on 'Blade,' and we didn't want to do that to Mahershala and didn't want to do that to us,' Feige concluded. The most significant update regarding 'Blade' this year actually made it seem like the project might be dead. Earlier this month, it was revealed that the movie 'Sinners' used period costumes that were originally procured by costume designer Ruth Carter for 'Blade.' Before he revealed the actual status of the production, Feige joked that this was the reason 'Blade' was on hold. 'The obstacle was, Ryan Coogler called and said, 'We'd love some costumes for 'Sinners,'' Feige joked. 'And we said, 'Take 'em man, no problem' — he's a good friend — 'take our costumes. We'll hold off on the movie.'' When will 'The Last of Us' Season 3 come out? HBO boss talks future of series

When will fans see the last of "The Last of Us"? In a recent interview with Variety, HBO and HBO Max content chair Casey Bloys confirmed the acclaimed series is aiming to debut its third season about two years from now. But Bloys said it has not been determined whether that will be the final season. "The series is definitely planned for 2027," Bloys told Variety. "(Creator) Craig (Mazin) is still working it out whether it will be two more seasons or one more long season. It hasn't been decided yet, and I'm following Craig's lead on that." "The Last of Us" is an adaptation of the video game franchise of the same name, and its second season was based on the 2020 game "The Last of Us Part II." But because the second game is so lengthy and narratively complex, only about half of the story of "Part II" was included in Season 2, which centered on Ellie's (Bella Ramsey) quest for revenge against Abby (Kaitlyn Dever). Season 3 of "The Last of Us" will continue adapting "The Last of Us Part II." The plot is set to shift focus to Abby, who becomes the main protagonist in the second half of the game, with Ramsey likely to have a reduced role. 'The Last of Us' Season 3: Everything we know so far from the game Once the HBO series has finished telling the story of "The Last of Us Part II," the show is expected to end, as there is no third game in the franchise to use as source material. Mazin has also said that two more seasons may be required to adapt the remainder of the game. "There's no way to complete this narrative in a third season," Mazin said in an interview with Collider published in May. "Hopefully, we'll earn our keep enough to come back and finish it in a fourth. That's the most likely outcome." Ahead of Season 3, the series went through a significant shakeup behind the scenes. Neil Druckmann, the creative force behind the "Last of Us" video games, who also created the HBO adaptation with Mazin, announced on July 2 that he will not be creatively involved in the show moving forward. He said he is stepping away to focus on his work creating video games at Naughty Dog. The same day as Druckmann's surprise announcement, Halley Gross, who wrote "The Last of Us Part II" game with Druckmann, also said she is stepping away from the HBO series. She previously served as an executive producer and writer on the show. 'The Last of Us' game creator steps away from show in shakeup before Season 3 In his interview with Variety, Bloys said it was "fantastic to have Neil involved" in the HBO series but that he understands "why he needs to focus on" his video game work. "I believe he's given us a good blueprint with the show," Bloys added. "And obviously Craig is a pro, so I think we'll be in excellent shape. I'm not worried at all."

Inside Scott and Kelley Wolf's strict new custody agreement — including social media gag order — as restraining order is dropped

Scott and Kelley Wolf have reached a temporary agreement as the 'Party of Five' alum's restraining order against his estranged wife was dismissed by a Utah judge on Saturday, July 19, according to People. Court documents obtained by the outlet revealed that the former couple reached a temporary stipulated agreement four days earlier that outlined custody arrangements, visitation rights, and communication guidelines involving their three kids. 7 Scott Wolf running errands in Park City, Utah, after his restraining order against estranged wife Kelley Wolf was granted on June 25. Kelley was also permitted supervised parenting time as coordinated by counsel and three supervised video or phone calls per week with Jackson, Miller and Lucy, per the July 15 agreement. Plus, Kelley is allowed to respond should her and Scott's children be the ones to initiate contact with her. As for the communication guidelines laid out in the estranged couple's agreement, neither the 'Everwood' actor nor Kelley can talk about adult issues, their divorce or their children's relationship with the other parent in front of or with the kids. 7 Scott and Kelley Wolf with their three children, Jackson, Miller and Lucy. kelleywolf/Instagram Both Scott and Kelley are prohibited from insulting the other verbally or in writing, and neither one can question their children about what might be taking place at the other parent's home. The agreement's communication guidelines also include a social media gag order barring both parties from making posts about the other, their marriage, their kids or the ongoing divorce. 7 Kelley Wolf and the 'Party of Five' alum pose for a picture with their three kids in April 2020. kelleywolf/Instagram If Kelley successfully adheres to the stipulations laid out in the temporary agreement, she will eventually be allowed unsupervised parenting time with Jackson, Miller and Lucy. Meanwhile, the 'Nancy Drew' actor will maintain the exclusive use of his and Kelley's Park City, Utah home, as well as control of their marital funds. However, he must cover household expenses and temporarily provide Kelley with $10K per month for living costs. Scott will also cover his ex's car payments, minimum credit card payments and a portion of her attorney fees. 7 Scott and Kelley Wolf smiling for the camera one year before their sudden split. Scott Wolf/Instagram The divorce drama between the 'Night Shift' star and his now-estranged wife kicked off last month when Kelley took to social media to announce that she and Scott were divorcing after 21 years of marriage. 'It is with a heavy heart that Scott and I are moving forward with the dissolution of our marriage,' the former 'Real World' star wrote on Instagram on June 10. Scott later confirmed to The Post that he was the one who filed for divorce from Kelley. 7 Kelley and Scott Wolf during the 2005 Park City Marquee opening night party in Park City, Utah. 'Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter,' the actor added at the time. The divorce drama then escalated on June 13 when Kelley was detained by sheriffs in Utah County and placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold following a 'family fight' at the pair's home. 7 Scott and Kelley Wolf attend the Samsung Galaxy Tab Lift on January 23, 2011, in Park City, Utah.
