Everything that we know so far about Taylor Swift's new album ‘The Life of a Showgirl'

Titled The Life of a Showgirl, the rumour mill among Swift's millions of fans is already in overdrive. Who will produce it? Which special guests will feature? When will it be released? Given she announced it in a teaser trailer for boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast, New Heights, will the NFL star make a surprise appearance? Despite the album being shrouded in secrecy, Swift's fondness of Easter eggs − secret clues she peppers throughout her songs, album artwork, merchandise and live performances − means eagle-eyed fans are already beginning to piece together its contents, from song titles to its orange and pink colour scheme. Whether you're a bona fide super-Swiftie or just the guardian of one, here's your guide to everything we know so far about The Life of a Showgirl. When will it be released? In Swift's world, nothing is accidental: colour schemes, dates, symbols. Fans know all too well that her favourite number is 13. However, 13 might have competition this time around. The Life of a Showgirl will be Swift's 12th album (not counting her four re-recordings), and she announced it yesterday. More details will inevitably be revealed in the full episode of Kelce's NFL podcast with his brother Jason, which will go live today. All signs thus far hint to the album itself being released on October 12: the US pre-order website says all vinyl editions will be shipped out by that date, and her official team shared 12 photos (all featuring Swift in pink and orange stage costumes) to social media in the announcement. The only reason I could see it being released earlier is that old industry chestnut: the Grammys. The cut-off for eligibility for the 2026 awards is the end of this month. Will there be special guest features? Pop star of the moment and Swift protege Sabrina Carpenter is all but confirmed to appear, given that she featured in one of the 12 photos shared to social media. Carpenter is rumoured to be joining Swift on title track The Life of a Showgirl − strikingly, it would be Swift's first-ever female duet on her own album (she has been joined by male artists, including Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar, but has only ever featured women on 'Vault' tracks on her various re-recordings). ADVERTISEMENT Learn more What will it sound like? Fans around the world will be breathing a collective sigh of relief at the rumours swirling around The Life of a Showgirl's producer team. Apparently, Swift's right-hand-man Jack Antonoff − who has produced her last six albums − will not be involved with the project. Instead, Swedish taste-maker Max Martin − widely credited with Swift's emergence as a leading pop star rather than a fringe country artist − is rumoured to be back on board and behind the producer decks. Fans put the pieces together after Swift's official team shared a playlist to social media, containing songs solely produced/written by Martin and Shellback (Martin's fellow Swede and frequent collaborator). It's not that Antonoff's work with Swift has been unsuccessful: far from it. Two of the Swift albums he produced (Folklore and Midnights) won the Grammy for Album of the Year. But after The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD), which many fans considered to be laboured and pretentious, it became apparent that Swift's music needed a burst of fresh energy. And Martin, who helped to give us eternal bangers such as We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, Blank Space and ...Ready for It? (as well as countless chart-toppers from Britney, Katy Perry and The Weeknd), could be just the ticket. After two albums of weepy ballads and romantic takedowns, here's hoping for optimistic, cheerful pop. What are the songs? Take this with a pinch of salt, but a leaked tracklist has emerged containing 12 songs. The song titles are as follows: The Fate of Ophelia Elizabeth Taylor Opalite Father Figure Oldest Daughter Ruin the Friendship Actually Romantic Wi$h Li$t Wood Cancelled! Honey The Life of a Showgirl Will there be a tour? Probably. Given the mammoth success of the Eras tour, which spanned 149 shows around the world and clocked in at a gruelling three-hour run time, Swift will have a tough time matching its success. She probably won't try to: not in terms of grand scale, anyway. I predict she will return to her pre-Eras tour model of performing mostly songs from her most recent album, with a few fan-favourite oldies thrown in for good measure. If it is released this year, a world tour presumably won't be on the cards until at least 2027. This would leave Swift free to headline the Super Bowl half-time show − for the first time − next year.

Garron Noone says what most of us are thinking as he lambasts new Domino's flavour

Garron Noone has roasted a new type of pizza from Domino's, which has divided opinion online. Dominos are known for their more *ahem* 'eccentric' flavours in certain markets, including but not limited to the popular (and semi-reasonable) hot honey base pizza, to the horrifying garlic mayo flavoured Easter egg that was released on these shores earlier this year. However, Domino's in Singapore have truly outdone themselves with a mac and cheese pizza — yes, that's macaroni and cheese as the, well, everything on the pizza — with a hot dog sausage as the crust. No, we're not sure how they came up with that one either. One person who was aghast at such a revelation was Mr Delicious himself, Garron Noone — who recently made his return to social media — who has returned all guns blazing as he lambasted the new flavour. 'Domino's, what the f**k is this?' Garron told his Instagram followers, before taking immediate issue with the sausage crust, saying 'why is there a sausage there? That's no place for a sausage. There's a time and a f***in' place for a sausage.' Despite only being available in the far east, Garron added that he was 'personally offended' by the new pizza, joking that it was 'attention seeking' from Domino's to create such a sin and adding 'food is finished, we've discovered it all.' Garron Noone has lambasted Dominos for its new mac and cheese pizza, with a hot dog sausage crust — saying that 'food is finished, we've discovered it all.' Pic: Garron Noone/Instagram People were divided over the new pizza type, however, with some disagreeing with Garron's sentiment. 'That actually looks nice,' one commented, while another added: 'Iceland did a Mac and cheese pizza a few years ago, it was awesome, and I'm pissed they haven't done it again. Searches flights to Singapore.' Others were appalled, however, with one commenting 'Jayyyyzuuuuss !! It's vomit on a pizza with the smell of vomit on a pizza,' while another joked that it looks like such a creation one would create while under the influence of certain substances — which is ironic, as Singapore has banned illegal drugs — commenting Weed is very criminalized in Singapore, why in God's name would you roll it out there first?' Garron returned to social media after two months last week, after he took time off to focus on his mental health. Pic: RTÉ Garron made his return to social media last week, and came back to his rants in perfect fashion, having a laundry list of complaints about life over the last few months while he went on his hiatus. Kicking off in style, Garron said that the past two months 'have been far too f**kin warm for my liking,' saying that while he doesn't mind it being hot or cold, he detests being warm, adding 'I can't sleep because my body's just moist — I'm not even sweating, my body's just threatening to sweat… I should probably move on.' And move on he did, with soup of the day being his next target; telling his followers 'I don't want to gamble with soup. And what soup was it [when he ordered it]? Tomato soup. The worst kind of soup. Tomato sauce is a sauce, not a soup, you're not fooling me.' He then went on to give out about how he lost a triple word score in Scrabble because the word he wanted to use (which we, unfortunately, can't repeat here) wasn't a 'valid word' before saying that he was running out of time but to follow him because 'I'm delicious.'
