Kate Hudson has hailed Matthew McConaughey one of her "great loves". The 45-year-old actress - who has Ryder, 21, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, Bingham, 13, with former partner Matt Bellamy, and six-year-old Rani with fiance Danny Fujikawa - feels "really lucky" to have had such great natural "chemistry" with her friend, who she starred with in 2003's 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' and 2008's 'Fool's Gold'. She told Vanity Fair in a video interview: 'There's just a similar energy that somehow allowed us to be able to really connect on screen and fall in love. 'It's like you have great loves of your life and then, like, as actresses, I think you have great loves in your work. And he's my one of my great loves, you know? "That just is something that happens when you meet and you feel that chemistry. It's just sort of an energetic thing. And great producers can see that right away. I feel really lucky that I got to experience that with someone as talented and as fun as Matthew." Kate hailed making her first movie with the Oscar-winning star - who has three children with wife Camila Alves - a "truly amazing experience. She added: "Matthew just brought it and he always does. and I think without ego and without any of it. He just brings so much amazing energy to everything he does." The 'Almost Famous' star thinks she and the 55-year-old actor have similar outlooks on life and work. She said: "With Matthew and I is just a very similar type of joie de vivre, we love life, we lead with energy very competitive by nature, we're competitive with each other. Very flirtatious, not afraid to be flirtatious." Meanwhile, Kate recently described herself as the "biggest flirt on the planet". Kate - who announced her engagement to Danny back in 2021 - told Bustle: "I'm the biggest flirt on the planet. So I think anybody who's ever been with me is very aware that I flirt with everybody - girls, boys. "Thank God Danny is my partner. He can handle this. I met the right guy." The 'Bride Wars' star also admitted that her sex life has improved in recent years. She shared: "The best part about sex in your 40s, honestly, is the freedom. "Sex isn't supposed to be pretty, and I think that when you get older you kind of have more fun with that."

Naughty Goldendoodle Sneaks Into the Bath for Playtime & It's Too Cute

Naughty Goldendoodle Sneaks Into the Bath for Playtime & It's Too Cute originally appeared on PetHelpful. No one said raising a puppy was easy! And a new video online is proof of that fact. Kate probably expected a little mischief when she got a Goldendoodle puppy. But alas, her new dog is definitely a 'menace to society' and now she has people cracking up online. There are things about puppyhood that they don't warn you about. And this was one of them! All Kate wanted to do was clean up after her kids took a bath, but boy did she get a surprise instead. You could tell the dog was up to no good even before the woman turned into the bathroom. 'This dog is an absolute menace to society,' the woman said in the footage. Poor Kate hadn't drained her kids' bathtub yet and the Goldendoodle took advantage of it. She'd made her own personal splash pad in the bathroom! Which was fun for her but was probably not exactly thrilling for Kate.'What are you doing?' the woman asked from behind the camera. 'Oh, just playing around in the tub. Do you want to join?' we can imagine the pup saying. 'Are you living your best life?' the woman teased. Yep, you could certainly say that for sure. 'Oh Stormi Jean, you're such a goober,' she kidded. The comments section absolutely loved Kate's little troublemaker Goldendoodle. What a little sneak! 'Once she realized she wasn't in trouble she went for it!' joked one person. 'I love that you're letting it enjoy the moment,' someone else praised. 'God forbid a girl wants to practice her spelling whilst getting clean,' joked a third person. 'Where did you get a self washing dog? They got that on Amazon?' kidded another commenter. Do Dogs Like Baths? You may have noticed that some dogs love their tub time (or maybe they just like making a mess!), but some dogs really don't like taking baths. Even dogs that like other bodies of water might not love baths. It really depends on the dog and the breed. Some dogs might even get totally spooked from the bath! So be gentle with your dog and take your time. Looking for more PetHelpful updates? Follow us on YouTube for more entertaining videos. 19 Oscars Scandals From Throughout The Years

The Oscars are meant to be a yearly celebration of achievements in film, but sometimes, the drama that unfolds during or around the ceremony is way more intense than anything in the award-winning movies. Here are 19 major Oscars scandals and controversial moments from throughout the years: At the 2022 Academy Awards, host Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's shaved head. Moments later, her husband, Will Smith, infamously got onstage and slapped Chris across the face. Later that night, Will took home the Best Actor award. Watch the full clip below, with this part starting at the 1:05 mark: While presenting the Best Picture Award at the 2017 Oscars, Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty accidentally announced the winner as La La Land instead of Moonlight. However, midway through the cast and crews' acceptance speech, producer Jordan Horowitz was reportedly shown an envelope with the correct winner's title, so he interrupted the speech to ensure Moonlight got their big moment. Here's the full clip: When Billy Crystal hosted the Oscars in 2012, his opening included a pre-filmed skit parodying the Best Picture nominees. In the video, he played Sammy Davis Jr. in blackface. Here's the clip: At the 2000 Oscars, Angelina Jolie won Best Supporting Actress. In her acceptance speech, she said she was "so in love with" her older brother, James Haven. Later in the night, as they were being photographed ahead of the Vanity Fair afterparty, Angelina and James briefly kissed. It was actually their second red carpet kiss, following a moment from the Golden Globes a few months earlier (which is pictured below). Watch the full video of Angelina's acceptance speech below: During the 2013 Oscars, host Seth MacFarlane performed an ill-received opening number called "We Saw Your Boobs," in which he named actors who'd done nude scenes. He also mentioned Scarlett Johansson's nude picture leaks. As he sang, the camera occasionally panned to the women he named, capturing their uncomfortable reactions. Here's the full video: In 1974, as host David Niven was introducing presenter Elizabeth Taylor, a completely nude streaker ran across the stage behind him, threw a peace sign, then disappeared. Here's the full clip: When host Will Rogers announced the Best Director winner at the 1934 Academy Awards, he called out, "Come up and get it, Frank!" So, Lady for a Day director Frank Capra began making his way to the stage — but Will had actually meant Cavalcade director Frank Lloyd. The walk back to his seat was "the longest, saddest, most shattering walk in [his] life." At the 2003 Academy Awards, Halle Berry presented Adrien Brody with Best Actor. Onstage, he kissed her suddenly and unexpected, and she "just fucking went with it." Here's the full clip: In 2023, Andrea Riseborough was nominated for Best Actress for To Leslie, which is an indie movie, but her campaign had some people calling for her nom to be rescinded. Mary McCormack, who's married to the movie's director, Michael Morris, reportedly "emailed and called tons of members of the Academy's actors branch, begging them to see the little-watched alcoholic drama and post online about Riseborough's searing performance," according to Puck. Mary Pickford's first adult role as Norma Besant in Coquette was poorly received, as was the film itself. So, she invited the five Board of Judges members (who chose Oscar winners at the time) to have tea at her legendary Beverly Hills estate, Pickford. In exchange, they named her Best Actress at the 1928–29 Academy Awards. When Bette Davis turned town the titular role in Mildred Pierce, her longtime rival Joan Crawford jumped at the chance to take it. In 1946, she won her first and only Oscar for the role — and she famously accepted it from her bed. The very first person to decline their Oscar was screenwriter Dudley Nichols. He was an important figure in the formation of the Screen Writers Guild, the predecessor to the WGA, which sought to provide better protections for screenwriters. In 1935, studios began favoring Screen Playwrights Guild members over SWG members because their interests were more closely aligned. So, when Dudley won Best Original Screenplay in 1936, he declined it on the grounds that "to accept it would be to turn [his] back on nearly 1,000 members of the Screen Writers Guild." In 1973, Marlon Brando won Best Actor for The Godfather, but he famously sent activist and National Native American Affirmative Image Committee president Sacheen Littlefeather to decline the award on his behalf. Here's the full clip of Sacheen's speech: In 1940, Hattie McDaniel won Best Supporting Actress for Gone with the Wind, making her the first Black Oscar winner. However, the Academy Awards were held at the Ambassador Hotel, which was segregated, so producer David O. Selznick had to get special permission for her to be allowed in. She was still forced to sit in the back of the room, separated from her white costars. When the Academy announced its 2015 nominees, all 20 of the acting nominees were white. In response, April Reign created the #OscarsSoWhite movement to call out the egregious lack of diversity. She tweeted, "#OscarsSoWhite they asked to touch my hair." By lunchtime, the hashtag was trending. Then, in 2016, the acting nominees were once again all white. Many celebrities, including Lupita Nyong'o and George Clooney, joined fans in calling out the Academy. Some, including Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Spike Lee, boycotted the Oscars that year. The now-defunct Best Motion Picture Story award went to Robert Rich for The Brave One in 1957. However, he wasn't at the ceremony. The producers claimed he was a former GI they met in Germany and that they had no idea what happened to him after they bought the story from him. The Academy looked and looked for Robert. Even Life magazine published a drawing of what he might look like. But no one could find him — and that's because he wasn't a real person. When Marisa Tomei won Best Supporting Actress for My Cousin Vinny in 1993, it sparked a decades-long conspiracy theory that presenter Jack Palance had called her name by accident. However, this has been disproven. In 1938, Alice Brady wasn't able to accept her Best Supporting Actress award because she was stuck at home with a broken ankle, so a "mystery man" accepted it on her behalf. However, both the man and the Oscar disappeared after that night — or so the story goes. And finally, when Chill Wills was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Alamo in 1960, he hired publicist W. S. "Bow-Wow" Wojciechowicz. The press agent put out a series of misguided ads, starting with a published list of every Academy member who'd gotten the actor's vote in the past.

Leonardo DiCaprio reveals passing on this role as his 'biggest regret'

Leonardo DiCaprio not only feels younger than his current age of 50, but he also pines for a role he passed on when he was younger: Dirk Diggler. The Oscar-winning actor told Paul Thomas Anderson, the director of the 1997 film "Boogie Nights," his "biggest regret" is not doing that film with Anderson. The actor had a good excuse in that he had already committed to the role of Jack Dawson in "Titanic," which became a blockbuster when it hit theaters the same year. DiCaprio does star in Anderson's newest film, "One Battle After Another," which hits theaters Sept. 26. A discussion between the two appears in the September issue of Esquire. What to watch: Over 30 years after its debut, this classic film is dominating streaming When Anderson, whose other films include "Licorice Pizza" and "Phantom Thread," asked DiCaprio if he had any career regrets, the actor said, according to the Esquire article, "I'll say it even though you're here: My biggest regret is not doing 'Boogie Nights.' It was a profound movie of my generation. I can't imagine anyone but Mark (Wahlberg) in it. When I finally got to see that movie, I just thought it was a masterpiece. It's ironic that you're the person asking that question, but it's true." In the film, Wahlberg's role is that of Diggler, who becomes a porn star in the 1970s adult film industry. In a commentary track that appears on the DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of the film, Anderson said he wanted Wahlberg or DiCaprio to play Diggler after seeing their performances in "The Basketball Diaries," notes movie blog Film School Rejects. Also in the Esquire interview, DiCaprio, who has been known to date much younger women, told Anderson he felt like he was 32 years old and "turned emotionally 35 last year." In the upcoming film, "One Battle After Another," DiCaprio plays a one-time revolutionary faced with rescuing his daughter, who has been captured by an alt-right group. Also appearing in the film are Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro. The film is his and Anderson's first together. "I've been wanting to work with you – Paul – for something like 20 years now, and I loved this idea of the washed-up revolutionary trying to erase his past and disappear and try and live some sort of normal life raising his daughter," DiCaprio told Anderson in their discussion. Discussing DiCaprio's role in the film, Anderson says, "He is a nice character, someone who starts out wanting to change the world on the far left but gets increasingly cranky and closed off as he gets older."
