This year's SSLC examination results will be declared on May 9, Minister for General Education V. Sivankutty has said.
At a press conference here on Tuesday, the Minister said valuation of answer scripts was held in 72 centralised valuation camps from April 3 to 26 in two phases. Mark entry had been completed.
The SSLC, THSLC, and AHSLC examinations were conducted from March 3 to 26. As many as 4.27 lakh students (2.17 lakh boys and 2.09 lakh girls) appeared for the SSLC examinations in the regular category across 2,964 centres in the State, nine in Lakshadweep, and seven in the Gulf region.
Of these, 1.42 lakh examinees were from government schools, 2.55 lakh from aided schools, and 29,631 from the unaided sector.
The number of candidates from the Gulf region was 682 and that from Lakshadweep was 447. Eight students appeared for the examination in the old scheme.
A total of 3,057 students (2,815 boys and 242 girls) appeared for the THSLC examinations in 48 examination centres.
Sixty-five students appeared for the AHSLC examination in the only exam centre in the State.
A total of 206 students appeared for the SSLC (Hearing Impaired) examination in 29 exam centres and 12 students for the THSLC (Hearing Impaired) examination at the sole exam centre for it.
