It's been eight years since the last "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, but in spite of everything that's happened in the interim, Orlando Bloom seems hopeful that more movies are forthcoming.
As reported by Collider, Bloom was promoting "Deep Cover" on ITV's "This Morning" when the question came up of Bloom once more playing Will Turner. The "Lord of the Rings" star expressed hope not only for his own return, but for the rest of "the band."

"Well, I don't know, I can't say anything at the moment because I really don't know, but there's definitely availability," Bloom said. "I think they're trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it'd be great to get the band back together. That would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we'll see where it lands."
By getting "the band back together," Bloom presumably means not just himself, but former "Pirates" co-stars Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp.
Depp is possibly the biggest wild card in the question of whether or not "the band" could ever get back together. Not only have studios still seemed a little hesitant to cast the controversial star, but Depp himself famously stated he wouldn't work for Disney again "for $300 million and a million alpacas."
Still, nothing is impossible, and in the case of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films, Disney has a lot of reasons to potentially revive the franchise. All told, the combined five "Pirates" movies pulled in a global box office of $4.5 billion.
While Depp appeared in all five films, Bloom and Knightley only briefly appear in the fifth film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales", and skipped the fourth, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides".
Bloom is no stranger to big adventure franchises or to returning to them after a break. He reprised the role of elf archer Legolas for Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit" trilogy and it's possible he might be coming back again.
"The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum" is set to be released December 17, 2027, and Bloom could very well be one of the franchise favorites to return along with Andy Serkis.

Delivery Driver Spots Cat—Doorbell Cam Captures 'Emotional Damage'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The internet is in stitches after a delivery driver asked a pet parent a certain question about her cat. Michaela Roxy Davies, known on TikTok as @michaeladavies12, came to the front door when she noticed a delivery driver dropping off a package. Along with Davies came her cat Lily, who is also referred to as Fat Lily, which led the delivery driver to ask: "Is she pregnant?" This question didn't come as a surprise, Davies told Newsweek via TikTok, "She's a big gal and always has been!" Davies responded to the driver that Lily isn't pregnant and instead she's "just really fat." The two of them started laughing, which was captured on her Ring camera and posted to TikTok last week, bringing in over 156,500 views and 29,900 likes. "He didn't say anything else about Fat Lily afterwards, was just taking a picture of my parcel," Davies said. "He was a lovely guy and found it funny." The end of the video included a close-up picture of Fat Lily. She looked completely unamused by the question, causing her "emotional damage." "Not the delivery man fat-shaming your cat," wrote one user. Another commented on the picture of Lily: "The pain in her eyes!!! Don't worry girl, we've all been there." A third user added: "You leave her alone!" Cats' Weight While the delivery driver's comment might've hurt Lily's feelings, the truth is that she is not the only cat weighing in on the heavier side. A PetMD article from last year reported that about 61 percent of cats are overweight. It's almost impossible to say "no" to those begging eyes for another treat or helping of food, but obesity in cats can lead to health issues, including diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, cancers and a weakened immune system. It can also shorten a cat's lifespan. Every cat is at risk of becoming overweight, but the article shared that several cat breeds are more susceptible to weight gain. Those breeds include Persian, Manx, British and American shorthaired, exotic shorthaired, Ragamuffin, Birman, Sphynx, Maine Coons and Norweigan Forest cats. These cats often prefer napping the day away instead of playing. Plus, they can never turn down food. Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share? Chris Evans Shares Brutally Honest Feelings About 'Avengers: Doomsday'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Entertainment gossip and news from Newsweek's network of contributors Chris Evans may be content that his work as Captain America is done, but the star of "The Materialists" still has some strong feelings about missing out on the upcoming "Avengers: Doomsday". Speaking to ScreenRant while promoting "The Materialists", Evans said that it was sad not to be included in the new movie. Read More: Ryan Coogler Confirms Denzel Washington Has a Part in 'Black Panther 3' Asked if he had spoken to Robert Downey Jr. and/or the Russo brothers, Evans answered, "Yeah, I talk to them all the time. It's where Pedro [Pascal] is right now. I mean, it's sad to be away. It's sad not to be back with the band, but I'm sure they're doing something incredible, and I'm sure it's going to be that much harder when it comes out and you feel like you weren't invited to the party." Captain America is played by Chris Evans in Avengers: Endgame. His character arc concludes nicely in that film, but rumors are he'll return for Avengers: Secret Wars. Captain America is played by Chris Evans in Avengers: Endgame. His character arc concludes nicely in that film, but rumors are he'll return for Avengers: Secret Wars. Disney It's difficult to blame Evans for feeling like he wasn't "invited to the party." Evans played Steve Rogers/Captain America in the first three "Captain America" films, all four "Avengers" films to date, and made cameos in "Thor: The Dark World" and "Spider-Man: Homecoming". More recently, he reprised the role of Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in last year's "Deadpool & Wolverine". The irony is that as far as the fans are concerned, at least, he would almost certainly be welcomed back to the role if he chose. Evans hardly had time to put down the shield in "Avengers: Endgame" before rumors started flying that he was on his way back to reprise the role, perhaps as a variant from a different corner of the multiverse. So who knows? While Evans may not be invited to the party for "Avengers: Doomsday", there's always the following year's "Avengers: Secret Wars". "Avengers: Doomsday" is scheduled to hit theaters on December 18, 2026. It is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, Wyatt Russell, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Simu Liu, Florence Pugh, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, Joseph Quinn, David Harbour, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Channing Tatum, Pedro Pascal, and Robert Downey Jr. More Comics: James Gunn Wants Peacemaker to Fight Batman Captain America: Brave New World Finally Has a Disney+ Free Streaming Date

Bell earlier this year launched new Crave subscription package that bundles in TSN sports content, with pricing starting at CAN$21.99 (US$16.10) a month. And Disney+ is available in Canada starting at CAN $8.99 (US$6.60) a month. The Disney+, Crave, TSN bundle will give subscribers access to original series like HBO's The Last of Us, The White Lotus, Max's And Just Like That and Hacks, Disney+'s Only Murders in the Building and Lucasfilm's Andor. Upcoming series include HBO's A Night of the Seven Kingdoms, the Game of Thrones spinoff, and season 3 of Euphoria.
