Love Island fans in hysterics as show makes 'Coldplay couple dig' during Harrison's exit

Daily Mirrora day ago
It was another night of pure drama during tonight's Love Island, as both Harrison and Lauren made their exit from the villa - and fans spotted a hilarious touch from producers
Both Lauren and Harrison were leaving the Love Island villa tonight in emotional. scenes. However, fans noticed one small detail from the producers that added humour into the situation.

Lauren's shock exit came after Angel chose to couple up with her partner Ty, leaving her single. She then asked Harrison to leave with her, although he wasn't too sure. The boys then told him to sleep on his decision, and the next night he gathered the Islanders around the firepit to announce he was leaving.

"'Prior to the Villa I wanted to find a girlfriend, someone I want to introduce to my family and I think I've found that…. Mine and Lauren's connection was something special, I wanted to stay true to myself and follow my heart," he told the villa as they told him to "get his girl".

Despite the Islanders breaking down in tears, fans were left in hysterics as they noticed the producers played a version of Coldplay's Fix You in the background as he walked out the villa.
It comes after the huge controversy during Coldplay's Boston concert where Chris Martin called out two people over their awkward reaction to being caught on camera.

When the pair awkwardly reacted to being shown on camera, Chris said: "Oh what? Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy. I'm not quite sure."
During Harrison's time in the villa, he was caught in a dramatic triangle with Toni and Lauren, as fans saw the humour in the song choice.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter one fan penned: "THE IRONY OF THEM PLAYING COLDPLAY WHEN HARRISON WALKS," as a second laughed: "I'm still thinking about Coldplay playing in the background because that is diabolical work!"

"Harrison walking out to a Coldplay tune is actually hilarious considering everything that has transpired on the internet over the last 24hrs," a third chuckled, while another said: "Playing Coldplay riddims whilst Harrison is leaving. These producers are jokes."
Lauren's exit wasn't the only drama Angel brought, however, as it looks like she may have turned Harry's head yet again.

The new bombshell automatically coupled up with Ty after choosing him as her first choice, but it looked like her mind was elsewhere as she had a flirty chat with Harry.
Harry has caused a stir in the villa - as the 30-year-old, who is currently coupled up with Helena appeared to make a move on his ex Emma yesterday.
Now, it looks like Helena may have someone else to worry about as Angel and Harry had their eyes firmly on each other. Will Harry's head be turned once again?

ITV Love Island's Harrison breaks silence on future with Lauren and 'condom moment'

Harrison has opened up about his future with Lauren and whether he will rekindle things with Toni on the outside, as well as addressing the 'viral condom moment' Love Island on Friday night left hardly any dry eyes in the house, as both Lauren and Harrison left the villa. The savage twist saw Lauren dumped after new bombshell Angel chose Ty as her number one, leaving Lauren single and packing. ‌ It left Harrison torn between staying on the ITV show or following Lauren out, with emotional scenes leading to him to follow his heart and go after Lauren. He stated that he seen her as "girlfriend" material on the outside, despite a messy time in the villa. ‌ The pair have now broken their silence since the dramatic villa exits, as they revealed their intentions for life on the outside. When questioned about what lies ahead for him and Lauren on the outside, Harrison revealed: "We'll make the distance work! It will be no issue. ‌ "We left on good terms, but the two days prior to leaving, we weren't talking properly, so it would be good to have a conversation, get everything out in the open and hopefully move forward from there." He added, "I feel very strongly about the girl, I wouldn't have left if I didn't. I have no doubt in my mind that she'll be my girlfriend one day. I'm buzzing to see her and reunite! She's such a great girl." ‌ Throughout their villa stint, Lauren and Harrison stunned viewers when Harry and Helena were spotted handing a condom to Harrison during the night, as reported by the Mirror. When asked about his feelings regarding his parents potentially witnessing him "have sex" on television, the footballer responded: "I hope they didn't see! "But listen, it was a natural thing. I don't think I intended to have sex in the Villa but in there all the Islanders could tell we were so attracted to each other, naturally it was going to happen. The spark between us was crazy! I probably wasn't thinking about my parents and them watching it but it naturally happened and I don't regret it." ‌ Elsewhere, Harrison expressed his hopes to maintain a friendship with Toni outside the villa despite their rollercoaster. He noted: "I'd like to think we could be friends." "I did her wrong a few times in there so I understand if she doesn't want to reciprocate that. The conversation prior to me leaving was a big moment for me and her," he admitted. ‌ He also shared his emotional turmoil, adding: "You could tell by me getting emotional, I was upset about how I've acted and upset about Toni being upset as well. Similarly, if someone treated my sister like I'd treated Toni in there obviously I'd be mortified. I wanted to apologise to her and I think she could see I was being genuine. I'm happy with how things were left." Lauren was optimistic when quizzed on how she feels her future with Harrison will play out, stating she sees a 100% chance of a relationship blossoming. "I'd love to see where it could go," she said before his departure. ‌ She continued, expressing her desire for a reunion: "I'm hoping that he comes out so that we can be together. I see myself being with him long term as I haven't had a connection like that with someone in such a long time. I know what we had was real despite what everyone else thinks. He has done wrong and made stupid mistakes, but he knows that and believes it was the wrong thing to do." The couple currently appears to be smitten, yet Harrison admits there's one aspect he'd reconsider – his choice of confidant for advice. During his time in the villa, we witnessed his camaraderie with Harry and Dejon, but in hindsight, he laments seeking counsel from Harry. Reflecting on his decisions, Harrison remarked, "I went to Harry a few times asking for advice. On reflection, he was probably the worst person to go to for advice! He does have a serious side but if I was ever to get into the situation again, I probably wouldn't go to him again, his advice was horrendous!" He added reflecting, "The trio was something special, the banter was flying, we were so close in there. I'm sad to leave them."

Love Island's Siannise Fudge slams show for ‘normalising abusive behaviour' and says villa girls ‘deserve so much more'

LOVE Island's Siânnise Fudge has slammed the show for "normalising abusive behaviour" after Woman's Aid issued a statement. The reality star, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show in 2020, shared a quote that US model Bella Hadid said during an interview with publication Mighty Pursuits. 4 It read: "I constantly went back to men that abused me. I would become silent and cry... [As a] people pleaser... I was putting my worth in the hands of someone else." Siânnise, 31, admitted the powerful message had resonated with what she had seen on this series of Love Island and insisted the villa girls "deserve so much more". She wrote: "I have been a victim in my past relationships of this behaviour which I thought was normal - and that's the scariest part. "It's so disappointing and very disturbing that this behaviour on national TV especially on one of the biggest tv shows is being normalised. "Those girls deserve so much more, they deserve to be respected and my heart goes out to them." Siânnise, who was runner-up on her series with Luke Trotman, did not reveal which past relationship she was talking about. The star said the behaviour she had witnessed this series "should never be tolerated". She continued: 'I'm sure they will need a lot of support when they are out as I know the intensity of that environment and having to deal with that behaviour on top is just awful. "This whole thread speaks volumes and I'm gonna leave it here. "Please read and I hope this helps understand why this will never be ok and should never be tolerated." She also shared a thread from Women's Aid, which claimed the show was "reinforcing a culture trivialising violence against women and girls." However, ITV have made it clear that before entering the villa, Islanders are given Duty of Care training in language, behaviour and understanding mutual respect in relationships. The cast are offered a full package of measures to ensure they remain supported prior to, during and after the filming period on the show. The Sun have reached out to ITV for comment. Fans were left furious this week after Harrison had sex with Lauren twice before dumping her and going back to Toni. Harrison confessed his feelings for Toni just moments before the recoupling, which lead to her picking him. This left Lauren in floods of tears as she admitted he had humiliated her. Harrison then did a U-turn just a day later and said he no longer wanted Toni and was "missing" Lauren, leaving both girls furious. In response, Women's Aid has issued a statement condemning his behaviour and criticising the ITV reality show for perpetuating misogyny and sexism. Jessye Werner, Communications Manager at Women's Aid, acknowledged the efforts production companies have made to highlight toxic behaviours but stressed that more progress is necessary. She told The Tab: "Despite these positive steps, we still see unhealthy patterns of behaviour on these shows, showing just how steeped in misogyny and sexism our society still is. 'Women are often lied to, slut-shamed and manipulated, as well as laughed at behind their backs. Misogyny and sexism lay the foundation for the tolerance of abuse and violence – it reinforces a culture that excuses and trivialises violence against women and girls. 'More must be done to educate contestants on sexism and misogyny, and it is a great credit to viewers who take to social media, continuing to call out these behaviours as soon as they see them.' 4
