Conor McGregor drops multiple racial slurs in unhinged tirade against former UFC rival
Conor McGregor dropped multiple racial epithets in a Friday social media tirade against former opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov, the latest in a continued line of unhinged posting for the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion following his feud with fellow Irishman Paul Hughes.
After Hughes' majority decision loss to PFL champion Usman Nurmagomedov at PFL Dubai this past Saturday, footage surfaced of a brief interaction between Hughes and Nurmagomedov in the cage, which ignited a furious rant from McGregor. Nurmagomedov famously defeated McGregor via fourth-round submission in a 2018 title bout. On Friday, McGregor once again took to social media to insult Nurmagomedov in a series of since-deleted, expletive-filled X posts, using multiple racial slurs.
'15 minutes I done aldo 15 seconds. Show yo wife n****. Show yo kids n****. Cousin f***in motherf***in hidin motherf***er. Show us you and your cousins kids together because we have kids here in Ireland that wanna smoke them in competition. Are they competing or what are you saying Ireland vs Dagestan? Where's your offspring, we cant wait to see them. The best of Dagestan offspring? Dagestan, what do we think? Is this true? Who's next [because] fatso with the coach whistle won't fight. Who the f*** designated this fat b**** as master father? Certainly not his own father. Abdulmanap. And they all know it in Dagestan. Dagestan think you are p**** lips for retiring. Real Dagestan is forever. You are laughed at behind your back in Dagestan. Lazy you are, they say. Fight me and make a 100 million dollars and give it to the entire village of Dagestan! But you won't, why? Fat lazy scared b****. Lazy fasto.'
McGregor's outburst comes just one day after UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell drew widespread condemnation for his statements that Adolf Hitler "was a good guy" who "wanted to purify [Germany] by kicking the greedy Jews out that were destroying his country and turning them all into gays." UFC CEO Dana White addressed the remarks on Thursday, stating that he and the UFC are "disgusted."
"I've heard a lot of dumb, ignorant sh*t in my day, but this one's probably the worst," White said.
White noted that Mitchell won't face repercussions from the UFC, citing "free speech" and stating: "Those who hate Bryce Mitchell, you get to see him hopefully get his ass whooped on global television."
In addition to his vulgar post toward Nurmagomedov, McGregor also chimed in Friday with words of support to Mitchell, backing the American as "a good man" in another since-deleted X post.
"Saying a prayer for my God-fearing brother Bryce Mitchell tonight, who I know is a good man. Let this be acknowledgement/confirmation of the rise in antisemitic commentary, as well as all sorts of other bulls***, phobic, racist commentary, that spreads feverishly and instantly across the world wide web where we, as curious beings, are brainwashed into all sorts of thinking. For what ? For one reason and one reason only. Human division. We say NO!
"All Nations and their people deserve freedom! Humans under God deserve Peace and Freedom and I, like Jesus did for us, would give my heart, body and soul for it! From Palestine to Jerusalem, Israel to Ukraine, Germany to Africa! Russia to Ireland to England to America to Iran. Egypt. Sweden! FREEDOM! Peace in the mother f***ing world because F*** THESE ROBOTS, WE ARE HUMAN! HUMANS UNDER GOD FOR THE WIN! GOD SAYS DON'T HARM HIS CHILDREN SO NOW NEVER NO MORE! Please God, earth! Let's go! We have got this! PEACE PEACE FROM, THE CHAMP CHAMP."
McGregor has not fought since suffered a first-round loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
He was found liable for a 2018 sexual assault this past November and currently faces a new sexual assault lawsuit stemming from an alleged 2023 incident in Miami.

Delivery Driver Spots Cat—Doorbell Cam Captures 'Emotional Damage'
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The internet is in stitches after a delivery driver asked a pet parent a certain question about her cat. Michaela Roxy Davies, known on TikTok as @michaeladavies12, came to the front door when she noticed a delivery driver dropping off a package. Along with Davies came her cat Lily, who is also referred to as Fat Lily, which led the delivery driver to ask: "Is she pregnant?" This question didn't come as a surprise, Davies told Newsweek via TikTok, "She's a big gal and always has been!" Davies responded to the driver that Lily isn't pregnant and instead she's "just really fat." The two of them started laughing, which was captured on her Ring camera and posted to TikTok last week, bringing in over 156,500 views and 29,900 likes. "He didn't say anything else about Fat Lily afterwards, was just taking a picture of my parcel," Davies said. "He was a lovely guy and found it funny." The end of the video included a close-up picture of Fat Lily. She looked completely unamused by the question, causing her "emotional damage." Screenshot from Ring camera capturing the moment a delivery driver asked the owner if her cat was pregnant. "Not the delivery man fat-shaming your cat," wrote one user. Another commented on the picture of Lily: "The pain in her eyes!!! Don't worry girl, we've all been there." A third user added: "You leave her alone!" Cats' Weight While the delivery driver's comment might've hurt Lily's feelings, the truth is that she is not the only cat weighing in on the heavier side. A PetMD article from last year reported that about 61 percent of cats are overweight. It's almost impossible to say "no" to those begging eyes for another treat or helping of food, but obesity in cats can lead to health issues, including diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, cancers and a weakened immune system. It can also shorten a cat's lifespan. Every cat is at risk of becoming overweight, but the article shared that several cat breeds are more susceptible to weight gain. Those breeds include Persian, Manx, British and American shorthaired, exotic shorthaired, Ragamuffin, Birman, Sphynx, Maine Coons and Norweigan Forest cats. These cats often prefer napping the day away instead of playing. Plus, they can never turn down food. Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share? Send them to life@ with some details about your best friend, and they could appear in our Pet of the Week lineup.

Christian Bale in the John Madden biopic sure looks like Christian Bale
Christian Bale in the John Madden biopic sure looks like Christian Bale FIRST LOOK: Christian Bale as Al Davis in the Upcoming Film 'Madden' — Cinema Tweets (@CinemaTweets1) June 7, 2025 There's a John Madden biopic headed our way, with Nicolas Cage playing the titular character and Christian Bale as then-Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders franchise owner Al Davis. And, since it's summer and we're still about two months removed from exhibition American football, sure, let's talk about it. The first promotional image accomplished the impressive feat of tapping into the 1970s-cool aesthetic Davis used to user in a new era of NFL football and Raiders success. Davis was a pioneer, a win-first owner who also stood up for civil rights and used his platform to improve a growing league while also helping to develop the product on the field into the electric, violent display that helped the sport boom in popularity. That's no doubt how Davis, who passed away in 2011, would like to be remembered rather than the string of mediocrity that hung over the thrice-relocated team over the final two decades of his career. Candid shots have leaked during filming as well, showing a beefed-up, prosthetics-donning Cage looking a lot like the square-bodied Hall of Fame head coach. On Monday, a shot of Bale as a less-flattering, older version of Davis dropped. And, maybe it's because "Christian Bale undergoes weird physical transformation for role" is basically a Hollywood trope at this point, but it's a little underwhelming. Yep, that's Christian Bale, all right. Good talk everybody. See you out there.

Anyone interested in buying Ferris Bueller's vest? Anyone? Anyone?
By Dean Murray The iconic sweater vest worn by Ferris Bueller is up for auction. Fans of the 1986 classic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" can bid on the garment worn in a pivotal scene. Actor Matthew Broderick donned the vest during the famous Wrigley Field sequence, where Ferris famously catches a foul ball during a Chicago Cubs game. Sotheby's New York is holding a special single-lot online sale for the item, which is expected to fetch between $300,000 and $600,000 (approximately £240,000 to £480,000). The vest comes from the personal collection of Darren Rovell, an Emmy-winning sports business reporter and renowned memorabilia collector. The auction marks the 40th anniversary of the John Hughes film. Ralph DeLuca, Sotheby's Vice Chairman, Popular Culture, said: "As we look back on Ferris Bueller's unforgettable adventure 40 years later, the legacy of this iconic film-and the sweater vest that helped define Ferris's style-remains as relevant as ever to fans and collectors around the world. "In the wise words of Ferris, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." "Those words couldn't be truer in this unprecedented opportunity to own the most iconic artifact from one of the most beloved comedies in American film history." Movie buffs and collectors can view the vest in person at Sotheby's New York galleries from 5 to 24 June, with online bidding open now. The post Anyone interested in buying Ferris Bueller's vest?
