IIM hosts nurturing future leadership programme for educators
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur hosted a five-day programme titled 'Nurturing Future Leadership'. The initiative, held under the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme (MMTTP) of the Ministry of Education, focused on equipping educators with leadership and pedagogical skills to address institutional challenges effectively. The programme was designed for teachers and faculty members from centrally funded institutes, state public universities, grant-in-aid colleges, and private higher education institutions. Forty-two participants from across India took part in this fourth batch of the leadership initiative. Training sessions included case studies, group exercises, design thinking, innovation practices, policy insights, and peer learning. These interactive formats aimed to strengthen participants' ability to lead academic institutions and enhance educational outcomes. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Neeraj Dwivedi, Director of IIM Kashipur, who emphasized the role of the National Education Policy (NEP) in shaping future-ready education systems. The valedictory session featured Prof Kunal Ganguly (Dean Development), Prof K N Badhani, and Prof. Vaibhav Bhamoriya, who highlighted the significance of collaboration between IIM Kashipur.

RRB NTPC Undergraduate Exam City Intimation Slip 2025: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is expected to release the Exam City Intimation Slip for RRB NTPC Undergraduate 2025 today. Candidates who have registered for the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) undergraduate exam can download the city slip from the respective regional RRB websites using their login credentials. RRB NTPC Undergraduate 2025 Exam Dates And Schedule As per the official schedule, the RRB NTPC UG 2025 exam will be conducted from August 7 to September 8, 2025. The examination will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will last 90 minutes. It includes 100 multiple-choice questions, distributed as follows: General Awareness: 40 questions Mathematics: 30 questions General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 questions Total Duration: 90 minutes Negative Marking: 1/3 mark deduction for each incorrect answer Candidates are advised to prepare accordingly, as the exam will test both speed and accuracy. Down the decades, Jim Corbett in TOI
Representative image NEW DELHI: Jim Corbett, whose 150th birth anniversary is being celebrated, was a hero and a redeemer for the hill-folk of Kumaon and Garhwal in the 1920s and 1930s colonial India. But the hunter-turned-conservationist got written about nationally and became a global literary star only after his debut book, 'Man-Eaters of Kumaon' came out in 1944. He was 69 then. 'It is safe to say that no journalist could have written 'a jungle thriller' of more absorbing interest than this classic by Jim Corbett, which is undoubtedly the best thing of its kind since 'Man-Eaters of Tsavo,' The Times of India review in Sept 1944 said. 'Man-Eaters of Tsavo' (1907), a tale of two terrorising lions in east Africa, was written by hunter John Patterson and was filmed decades later as 'The Ghost and The Darkness' (1996). The review further said that 'what Jim Corbett doesn't know about tigerland and tiger habits isn't worth knowing…' and pointed out that 'the author is giving the whole of his royalties to St Dunstan's hostel for blinded Indian soldiers (in World War II).' 'Man-Eaters of Kumaon' was also a choice for the 'Book of the Month' club in the USA. We should name Bombay's national park after Jim Corbett and publish cheap books on the wildlife of India to commemorate him.'
