North Carolina rolls past Clemson 14-4 to win ACC Tournament title
The Tar Heels took advantage of a two-out error to score the game's first run in the first inning, then North Carolina plated two runs in the second inning, capped by Jackson Van De Brake's two-out, run-scoring single. Alex Madera flared a run-scoring single in the third inning. In the fifth inning, Hunter Stokely and Tyson Bass both belted two-run homers and Van De Brake added a three-run homer in the eight-run frame. The Tar Heels tacked on two unearned runs in the sixth inning.
The Tigers scored their first runs in the seventh inning on Cam Cannarella's two-run homer, his third long ball of the year, to extend his hitting streak to 19 games. Jack Crighton lined a run-scoring single in the eighth inning.
Olin Johnson (2-0) earned the win in relief by pitching 2.2 innings, allowing two runs on four hits. Tiger starter B.J. Bailey (2-5) suffered the loss.
Cannarella and Dominic Listi earned All-ACC Tournament honors.
The announcement of the 16 NCAA regional host sites is at 8:30 p.m. The NCAA Selection Show is Monday at noon on ESPN2.

Greene hit a two-run homer in the sixth while Luis Rengifo hit a two-run shot in the eighth. Angels CF Bryce Teodosio, who missed Saturday's game after hitting his head on the fence on Friday, ran into LF Taylor Ward and RF Jo Adell on eighth-inning fly balls. Luckily, no one was injured on either play. Carpenter has a .600 slugging percentage against right-handed pitchers since the start of 2024, the third highest in the majors. Shohei Ohtani (.688) and Aaron Judge (.682) are the leaders among players with at least 500 plate appearances against righties. The Angels return for a three-game series with their crosstown rivals, the Los Angeles Dodgers. RHP Jose Soriano is scheduled to start Monday's opener. Detroit travels to Chicago for three games against the White Sox. RHP Chris Paddack (4-10, 4.91) will pitch on Monday evening. After playing 13 of their last 16 games at home, the Tigers play 13 of the next 19 on the road.

Pennsylvania team wins Little League Softball World Series championship
A team from Pennsylvania won the Little League Softball World Series championship on Sunday for the first time in nearly 50 years. The West Suburban team from Johnstown, Pennsylvania won the championship game that was hosted in Greenville, North Carolina, defeating a team from Floyds Knobs, Indiana, in a 1-0 pitchers' duel. Pitcher Reagan Bills led the way for the Johnstown-based team that was representing the Mid-Atlantic region as she only allowed one hit and had seven strikeouts. At the plate, Bills had two hits and drove in the series-winning run. Following the big victory, Bills was interviewed and said that winning the championship was the completion of something she's dreamed about since she was a little kid. "I've been watching [the World Series] since I was 5, and I didn't think this was possible," Bills said. "I can't believe it." "We knew this team was special, but we had no idea that we would end up World Champions," said West Suburban president Jason Subich. "When you have a dominant pitcher, you always have a chance to win. Reagan led the way, and these girls rallied around her." Bills was on the mound getting the win for all five of West Suburban's victories. With the victory, the West Suburban team comes only the second team from Pennsylvania to win the Little League Softball World Series, joining Shippensburg who won the championship in 1978.
