Lawyer faces probe for publishing misleading information in media

RIYADH — The Ministry of Justice has instructed to carry out investigation into the case of publishing misleading information in the media by a licensed lawyer about the penalty for parking in front of homes.
The ministry clarified that it noticed that the contents of the statement made by the lawyer are not based on any legal basis. Article 5 of the Law of the Protection of Public Facilities —referred to in the statement — is irrelevant to the allegations. The Civil Transactions Law regulates provisions related to rights, including the right of easements.
The ministry confirmed that it will take legal action against the lawyer and refer him to the concerned agencies for investigation, based on the Code of Law Practice, its executive regulations, and the Rules of Professional Conduct for Lawyers.
The ministry called on all lawyers to adhere to the rules and regulations governing the profession. The ministry reiterated that it will not show any leniency in taking the necessary measures to control any practices or behaviors that violate the relevant rules and regulations

The minister made the remarks in cables of congratulations sent to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and the success of this year's Hajj season. Prince Abdulaziz extended the greetings on behalf of himself and on behalf of emirs of the regions, members of the Supreme Hajj Committee, security forces, and all members of the governmental and private agencies participating in this year's Hajj. Addressing the King and the Crown Prince, the minister reaffirmed that the success of this year's Hajj season was achieved by the grace of God and then by your generous attention and guidance, saying that this was the cornerstone in enabling all parties involved in the Hajj mission to implement all plans encompassing security, preventive, organizational, health, service, and traffic sectors, with full competence and efficiency. This is in view of providing with the highest standards of care and services to the total number of pilgrims this year, which reached 1,673,230. The minister highlighted that security personnel and all members of the governmental and civil agencies involved in serving the guests of God performed their duties with competence and professionalism, resulting in the success of all plans put in place. Prince Abdulaziz prayed to God to protect the King and the Crown Prince, as well as to perpetuate their glory, and make them a source of strength for Islam and Muslims. He also prayed to God to bestow upon Saudi Arabia the blessings of security, stability, and prosperity under the wise leadership of the King and the Crown Prince.

These personnel include members of the Ministry of Interior, the Presidency of State Security, and supporting military agencies from the Ministry of National Guard, the Ministry of Defense, and the General Intelligence Presidency. Saudi Gazette report MINA — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed the role of the international community in ending the disastrous repercussions of the Israeli aggression on Gaza. He made the remarks while addressing the annual reception for heads of state, leaders of countries and distinguished dignitaries performing Hajj this year at the Royal Court of Mina Palace on Saturday. The Crown Prince delivered the speech on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. "This blessed Eid Al-Adha comes while our brothers in Palestine continue to suffer as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression. We emphasize the role of the international community in ending the disastrous repercussions of this aggression, as well as in protecting innocent civilians, and working toward a new reality where Palestine can enjoy peace in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions," he said. At the outset of the speech, the Crown Prince said: "It is our pleasure, from the vicinity of the Sacred House of God, to congratulate you and all Muslims around the world on the blessed Eid Al-Adha. We ask God Almighty to accept the pilgrims' Hajj and good deeds," he said. The Crown Prince highlighted Saudi Arabia's lofty position in serving Islam and Muslims, especially the Hajj pilgrims. The reception was attended by several eminent Islamic figures, guests of the King, guests of government agencies, heads of delegations, and pilgrim affairs offices. The dignitaries included President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, Vice President of Benin Mariam Chabi Talata Zimi Berima; and former Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed. Minister of Hajj and Umrah and Chairman of the Hajj Guests Service Program Committee Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Secretary General of the Muslim World League for Jerusalem and Palestine and Grand Mufti of Jerusalem Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Hussein, and Syrian Minister of Endowments Sheikh Mohammed Abu al-Khair Shukri also spoke on the occasion. In his speech Al-Rabiah highlighted the most notable achievements of this year's Hajj season, including the implementation of 46 new energy projects with a total cost of over SR3 billion, as well as several projects in the transport and health sectors. This is in addition to several infrastructure projects with more than 300,000 square meters of shaded areas and updating of the Nusuk app to provide more than 130 digital services and streamlining of the Nusuk Masar digital platform.
