Chiquita Panama had fired 5,000 workers in late May as Panamanians across the country protested against several issues including a social security reform they said would affect their future pensions. Its management left Panama by early June.

Busy A-road in North Wales market town set for closure and one way restrictions from next week
Major works to upgrade gas pipes will see a busy A-road hit by closure and one-way restrictions in the coming weeks. The works in the Chester Road area of Mold will start on Monday July 21. The works are between the Wylfa roundabout on the A494 and the 'Tesco' roundabout in Mold. They will take until August 8 to complete. Wales & West Utilities has liaised with Flintshire County Council to plan the work and traffic management will be required throughout.
