Ravi Kishan doesn't need any introduction. A superstar in the Bhojpuri cinema, he has also worked extensively in Hindi films as well as Telugu and Kannada films. Though he did not play a lead role in those films, as a supporting actor too, Ravi left his mark on the audience.
Ravi Kishan is a massive star in Bhojpuri cinema, and he himself admitted once that he does Bollywood roles for 'personal satisfaction'. In an interview with IANS, the actor once shared, 'In Bhojpuri cinema, I have to play larger than life roles. Here (in Bollywood) I can play smaller characters. I do this for my own personal satisfaction. I get to play different shades. Right from Tere Naam, I have done different characters.'

Kiran Rao's film won many hearts and also set the box office on fire, and Ravi Kishan's role in the film just cannot be missed. The actor played the role of Inspector Shyam Manohar, a quirky yet sharp-witted police officer in rural India. While he appears comical and carefree on the surface, he's actually clever and observant. He was the one who gradually unraveling the mystery of the 'missing brides'. Ravi Kishan well portrayed a role which needed a perfect balance of humor and sincerity, making it one of the standout performances in the film.
Phir Hera Pheri (2006)
Ravi Kishan plays the character named Chhote, who was one half of the comic gangster duo 'Chhote and Babu Bhaiya', working for the main villain Tiwari (played by Sharat Saxena). Ravi Kishan's character in the film was loud, over-the-top, and comically threatening, perfectly fitting the film's slapstick tone. Ravi Kishan did not have a major role in the film but he appears in several hilarious sequences involving guns, ransom, and mistaken identities.
