Tour de France Stage 10 results, standings: Simon Yates wins, Ben Healy nabs yellow jersey
Simon Yates of Great Britain won Stage 10, which featured eight different ascents and challenged riders with climbs totaling nearly 14,600 feet. But it was the jockeying for position going on behind him amongst those challenging for the overall lead that provided the most drama.
Ben Healy, who represents Ireland and won Stage 6 last week, grabbed the yellow jersey from Tadej Pogačar. Healy finished in third place during the stage, 31 seconds behind Yates but more than 4 minutes, 20 seconds ahead of Pogačar.
Healy started Monday's race ‒ a 165.3-kilometer course that began in Ennezat and ended on Puy de Sancy mountain ‒ outside of the top 10 in the chase for the yellow jersey. He'll now keep it for at least two days, with the first rest day of the 2025 Tour de France scheduled for Tuesday, July 15. Pogačar sits in second place in the overall standings and trails Healy by 29 seconds.

Watch: Rider mistakenly celebrates Tour de France stage ‘win' after dislocating shoulder
Julian Alaphilippe endured a chaotic, emotional stage 15 of the Tour de France on Sunday, crashing early, soldiering on with a dislocated shoulder, and then mistakenly celebrating what he thought was a stage win – before discovering he had been beaten by two riders. The Tudor Pro rider hit the deck in the opening kilometres, suffering pain and a shoulder injury that cast doubt over whether he would even finish the day. 'He had a crash at the beginning of the race,' said team sports director Raphael Meyer. 'He had pain and a dislocated shoulder. He was seen by the doctor and he still has some pain. He's going to do X-rays.' But the Frenchman fought on, eventually crossing the line – arms raised in triumph – believing he had pulled off an emotional comeback victory. He hadn't. Unbeknownst to Alaphilippe, Tim Wellens (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) had already powered away from the breakaway group earlier and claimed a convincing solo win. Victor Campenaerts (Visma-Lease a Bike) had also slipped away and crossed the line nine seconds ahead of Alaphilippe. 'He thought he was first on the line – but the radio didn't work,' Meyer said. However, despite the initial disappointment, Alaphilippe was able to see the funny side afterwards. 'The radio stopped working after the crash, so like an idiot I went for the sprint trying to win,' he said. For Wellens, the victory marked a brutal show of strength, and another chapter in the dominance of leader Tadej Pogacar's UAE Team Emirates, as they continue to exert near-total control over the race. For Alaphilippe, it was a bitter-sweet finish – a gritty ride, a brave comeback, and a win that wasn't. It was not the first time such misfortune happened to Alaphilippe. Security guard takes out anti-Israel protester at Tour de France in wild scene
When a man began running down the course at the Tour de France in protest of an Israeli team's participation Wednesday, a security guard pulled no punches. The guard wrapped up the protester and shoved him against the wall separating the track from the viewing area, eventually tossing him over the wall, onto the ground and into a jam-packed crowd of fans. The shocking scene took place just 25 meters from the finish line as Norway's Jonas Abrahamsen edged out Switzerland's Mauro Schmid for victory in the 11th stage of the three-week race. The protester was wearing a shirt that said 'Israel out of the Tour,' and he held a keffiyeh, the black-and-white checkered headdress that has become a symbol of solidarity for the Palestinian cause. After the protester had been thrust onto the ground, the security guard yelled and pointed at him as the shocked crowd of fans looked on. The protest was presumably directed at the Israel Premier-Tech team, which is registered in Israel, although it does not feature any Israeli bikers at this year's event. In April, pro-Palestinian movement Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions dubbed Israel Premier-Tech 'Team Genocide,' and called for 'peaceful protests.' 'We call for more peaceful protests than ever along the routes of cycling races where Team Genocide is participating, including the Giro d'Italia, Tour de France and Vuelta a España,' the organization wrote. 'Let's make sure the road is closed to genocide perpetrators.' Members of the team also faced protests at the 2025 Amstel Gold Race in April and at the Giro d'Italia in May. Stage 11 of the Tour de France, which stretched 156.8 kilometers, took place in and around the Southern French city of Toulouse.
