HAIR THIS I forked out £40 for a 'hair tattoo' – it turned out so bad the stylist said I 'ruined his week' but I lived with it

In just two days the design was gone, she claimed

Amanda Hughes took to the popular Facebook group That's It, I'm Hair Shaming to show off her new look, but not everyone was convinced by the unique style, including Amanda herself.
In the viral post she explained she wanted a hair tattoo of the fictional horror character Hannibal Lecter, created by American novelist Thomas Harris, and later played by Anthony Hopkins.
But Amanda admitted she didn't realise the style would be created using pens.
She wrote: "I went for a hair tattoo of Hannibal Lecter. Having no idea that he would be using pen for most and got charged a fortune for this."
According to Amanda, the funky style washed out "two days later", leaving her with an awkward and bumpy-looking style.
"The person who did this did not respond well to me messaging about it, but he really wanted to do the design and said I ruined his weekend to which I responded well you've ruined my hair.
"Anyway thought I'd give you all a laugh the after pic was a week later," she added.
In the post, Amanda also showed off a picture of the designed freshly etched into her hair, and one just two days later.
The first picture shows the cult character's face on the back of her head, with a large white forehead, glaring eyes and the infamous mask.
But in the second snap, which Amanda claimed was taken 48 hours later, the image is not longer visible.
I tried incredible new air styler - it gave perfect curls with no heat and its a fraction of the price of Dyson Air Wrap
"What did you think would happen? You wouldn't wash your hair or it wouldn't grow?" one person commented on the post.
And a second chimed in: "I mean... it turned out better than I imagined any Hannibal Lecter hair design to look... what exactly were you expecting here?"
Meanwhile, someone else wrote: "It sounds like you went in with no idea of how these work. It looked awful anyway."
"They did some hair tattooing and used chalk? Did you not see the tools they used?
"Did you ask if a pencil would last more than a single hair wash? That second photo is NOT two days later," another commented.
And others though the design was worth every penny: "You said 'a fortune' and I was like oh no that's so bad…. But £40?? You get what ya pay for Lol."
"The alternative was to have all the white shaved bald on your head and these designs stay drops for maybe a week," another pointed out.

The Silence of the Lambs was released in 1991 and despite its older release, remains a popular choice with fans. Starring two time Academy Award winners Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins, the film follows FBI student Clarice Starling who is assigned to help on the search of a serial killer. She soon seeks the help of Dr Hannibal Lecter *the cannibal* who is held in a maximum security hospital. Dr Hannibal Lecter is a character created by American author Thomas Harris and has featured in the 1986 film Manhunter, but his appearance in The Silence of the Lambs is arguably the most famous adaptation. Both Hopkins and Foster bagged Oscar awards for their performances, with Hopkins scooping the Best Leading Actor award and Foster clinching the Best Leading Actress accolade at the 1992 ceremony. It also nabbed the coveted Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay awards. And the film remains a hit with fans with many describing it as a "masterpiece" and a timeless classic". The popular choice will be available to stream on BBC Two on Sunday evening (August 17), as well as BBC iPlayer. It is currently available to buy on prime Video. A synopsis reads: "FBI trainee Clarice Starling, enticing insights from confined killer Hannibal Lecter, shares her nightmare memory in the hope of stopping a serial killer before his latest victim dies. The film set new standards and is still very suspenseful and creepy even by today's standards." A third wrote: "One of the best movies of the 1990s if not all time. incredible story, amazing actors and a master class in film making." A fourth replied: "The Silence of the Lambs is an outstanding five-star thriller that completely pulled me in. Another praised: "Gritty, disgusting and suspenseful, it gets deep under your skin and makes you gag even after three decades. The undoubted highlight being Anthony Hopkins' performance." Writing for the Winnipeg Free Press, Paul McKie described it as: "The Silence of the Lambs is one of the most intoxicating and absorbing thrillers ever made." Directed by Jonathan Demme, the film also stars Scott Glen as well as Ted Levine and Anthony Heald. Amanda Holden's Netflix show Cheat: Unfinished Business 'AXED' after first series despite success ratings
's Netflix show Cheat: Unfinished Business has reportedly been axed after just one series. The nine-part series, co-presented by BGT judge Amanda and relationship expert Paul Carrick Brunson, saw eight ex-couples who broke up because of infidelity head to a Spanish retreat to work out their differences. It proved a massive hit when it hit the streamer on April 30 and reached Netflix's top 10 most-watched programmes in 22 countries, including the UK and US. But despite the show's successful ratings, The Sun on Sunday claim the show has been given the boot and won't be returning for a second series. A source told the publication: 'Despite Cheat being popular with audiences Netflix has decided to pursue new show formats. Bosses love Amanda and are in talks with her on three different show ideas, so it's likely fans will see A lot more of her on the platform in the future. 'They're trialling lots of shows in their entertainment slate and trying to find out what works. The nine-part series, co-presented by Amanda and relationship expert Paul Carrick Brunson (pictured), saw eight ex-couples who broke up because of infidelity head to a Spanish retreat to work out their differences 'Amanda is still very much one of the hardest working women in showbiz and is booked & busy for the foreseeable future.' Daily Mail has contacted Amanda's representatives and Netflix for comment. Relationship expert Paul made a name himself on Celebs Go Dating and Married At First Sight UK. Paul, who's been married to childhood sweetheart Jill for 23 years, got his big break after Oprah Winfrey spotted one of his YouTube videos and invited him to co-host a TV show with her. The Washington-born star has further established his career on UK soil with podcast We Need To Talk, where he has interviewed the likes of comedian Katherine Ryan, former X Factor judge Tulisa, and Love Island contestant Maura Higgins. At the time he said he was excited to explore 'all the grey areas of infidelity' while working with the contestants on Unfinished Business, adding: 'Not only that, but to work with Amanda Holden has been a dream of mine, so with her on board there was no way I could say no.' Amanda, who shares daughters Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 12, with husband Chris Hughes, told Daily Mail earlier this year that she has always longed to present a dating series. She said: 'It is my dream job, if I could have manifested a job… this would have been it. It is the job I have wanted my whole life and it's finally happening.' The Heart Breakfast host added: 'A series about second chances and unfinished business. I can't wait, along with Paul, to meet and help these couples work out whether they can forgive and forget. I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of it.' After carving out an acting career in the 90s starring on TV shows such as Cutting It, Kiss Me Kate, and Wild at Heart, she went on to receive a Laurence Olivier nomination for her stage performance in the West End musical of Thoroughly Modern Millie. More recently, she has recently expanded her repertoire to front Sky documentary Sex: A Bonkers History, BBC travel show Amanda & Alan's Italian Job and now, her very own Netflix series. Amanda was just 19 when she took part in Blind Date, telling viewers that her ideal man would be film star Jack Nicholson. She didn't find her life partner on that occasion, instead waiting 17 years before marrying her second husband, music executive Chris in 2008. Given her past experience on a dating show, Amanda says she wouldn't be against her daughters signing up to a reality series, but she draws the line at Love Island. Speaking in April last year, she added: 'I wouldn't let my girls go on Love Island but if they wanted to go on a dating show, I would let them.'
