DEREK CHISORA claims Daniel Dubois QUIT against Oleksandr Usyk — but now he wants to help him take up the British heavyweight torch.
Chisora was ringside as the Ukraine icon stopped 27-year-old Dubois in the fifth round of Saturday night's undisputed decider at Wembley.

And he knows how incredible Usyk, 38, is after losing a close points decision against him in 2020.
Del Boy does not use the Q-word lightly — knowing the stigma and stench it carries in boxing.
But he believes ex-IBF champion Dubois — who he sparred with as an amateur lad — can recover and fill the Brit void he, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will leave behind.
On SunSport's Split Decision YouTube show, Chisora, 41, explained: 'For me, he quit.
' The biggest stage of your life, for undisputed, we're in the game of getting hit in the head. You get up and fight again.
'He got up and walked back to his corner, normally. His corner chucked the towel in because they knew he wanted to come out.
'He was supposed to give it one last hurrah before he gets knocked out — just go in there and chuck everything that he could.
'We're in the game of fighting and you have to go to the well when you have to. People have spent hard-earned money to watch you.

'You just go out on your shield. This is why we're having a go at him because we are gonna say what we need to say: 'You didn't go out on your shield.''
Fury, 36, sent Dubois a message reminding him of his achievements and offering him a place at his Morecambe gym any time.
Tyson Fury leaps to Daniel Dubois' defence after Oleksandr Usyk defeat
But Chisora feels tough love is the only way to get Dubois' heart as big and powerful as his biceps.
And Chisora blasted: 'That's a f***ing bulls*** message as Tyson knows to go out on his shield.
'If you're going to lose properly, you go out on your shield. We just cannot sugarcoat it.
'I've had 49 fights, have you ever seen me quit? Exactly. I just don't know how to quit. Tyson is not a quitter, AJ is not a quitter. Daniel did not get up as he did not want no more.
'They have to fix that. We're not talking badly — but it will happen again and again and again.'

It sounds brutal but Chisora is trying to be kind by being cruel.
He added: 'The first time I sparred Daniel was years ago when he was an amateur and he whooped my arse.
'I got him back again . . . and he whooped my arse again. Got him back again, he whooped my arse.
'If he trains differently, he'd whoop everybody's arse. He whooped my arse badly before he turned pro.
'Right now, he trains by himself, but when you hang out with other killers, you want to be a killer.
'He's never going to leave his dad, we don't want him to, we want him to train with other fighters, that's it.
'Dubois was the guy we were trying to hand the torch to. Fury, me and AJ are nearly gone, so he was THE guy — our guy.
'We asked him to represent us and he is that guy.'

Oleksandr Usyk, Muhammad Ali: The remarkable similarities between two heavyweight icons

Oleksandr Usyk enters his fight with Daniel Dubois on Saturday night as the best heavyweight on the planet. In an era where giant heavyweights have largely dominated, Usyk has proved that it is not all about size in boxing 's blue-riband division. Over half a century ago, Muhammad Ali did the same thing. He was not the biggest or the hardest-punching heavyweight, but his skill and heart allowed him to become the very best. The heavyweight division has not seen anyone like Ali before or since, but there are a number of similarities between the 'The Greatest' and Usyk. Let's assess how they stack up against each other physically and in terms of achievements. Born on the same day Let's start with something purely coincidental – Ali and Usyk were born on the same day. Ali came into the world on January 17, 1942 and Usyk was born on the same date 45 years later. That specific date appears to be a special one for elite athletes as former female fighter Ann Wolfe was also born on January 17. Wolfe is widely regarded as one of the best women's boxers ever after holding world titles in three different weight classes simultaneously during her glittering career. Same height, reach and weight Usyk and Ali's physical attributes are also very comparable. At his peak, Ali stood at 6ft 3in tall, had a 78in reach and weighed around 220lbs. Usyk is the same height and has an identical reach. He has also resisted the temptation to bulk up too much since moving to heavyweight. The Ukrainian great has stayed around the 220lbs mark for most of his recent fights, giving up weight to his opponents. The likes of Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois have all outweighed Usyk, but his skillset and boxing brain has got his hand raised time and time again. Olympic champions Ali went to the Rome Olympics in 1960 when he was only 18 years old. The teenager had still not finished growing at the time and competed in the light-heavyweight division. He came away with a gold medal after outclassing his opponents and turned professional shortly afterwards. Usyk also got to stand on the top step of the podium after claiming heavyweight gold at the 2012 Olympics in London. He was one division below Anthony Joshua who won gold at super-heavyweight. Usyk switched over to the professional ranks the following year where he started off at cruiserweight – a weight class that did not exist when Ali started boxing. Heavyweight kings Ali became heavyweight champion for the first time when he stunned Sonny Liston in February 1964 and he won their rematch in even more dominant fashion the following year. Ali had to relinquish his titles are refusing to sign up for the US army, but came back to regain them when he beat George Foreman in the 'Rumble in the Jungle'. As he moved into the final years of his career, Ali was no longer the same force, but he still had enough left in the tank to win his titles back from Leon Spinks to achieve three-time champion status. Similarly to Ali, Usyk was also written off when he first challenged for heavyweight gold. Usyk had looked unconvincing in beating Derek Chisora and many expected Anthony Joshua to deal with him. But Usyk delivered a classy display to outpoint Joshua and then repeated the feat a year later. He has since seen off Dubois and Tyson Fury twice, and will be looking to beat Dubois again on Saturday night at Wembley. It will be another huge occasion, the type of which Ali used to rise to every time. Usyk has done exactly the same throughout his career, and will expect to put on another masterclass to become undisputed champion once more.

Why Bryan Mbeumo's £71m transfer to Man Utd will massively benefit rivals Man City

BRYAN MBEUMO's £71million move to Manchester United has given rivals Man City a huge boost. The Cameroon star finalised his long-awaited move to the Red Devils from Brentford this week. He will now link up with his new United teammates for their pre-season tour of the US. And Mbeumo could make his debut in Sunday's clash against fellow Premier League side West Ham. Fans are delighted at finally getting the deal over the line, with United first making a bid for Mbeumo six weeks ago. However, it's not just Ruben Amorim who has benefitted from the forward's £71m switch. United's rivals Man City are also celebrating after pocketing £6.5m from Mbeumo's transfer, claims the Mail. The attacker previously played at French side Troyes, who are owned by City's parent company the City Football Group (CFG). Brentford paid £5.8m to sign Mbeumo in 2019, while also including a 10 per cent sell-on fee. It means that CFG have banked £6.5m from his move to Old Trafford, with star club City likely to benefit directly. But Mbeumo and United are unlikely to be bothered as they look ahead to the new season. Mbeumo, who will partner £62.5m Matheus Cunha up top, said: 'From the start, I wanted to join this massive club. Now I'm here, I'm just really happy. 'For me, it's the biggest club in the world. The fans are crazy, the stadium is amazing and every player wants to play here.' United could now complete their attack by moving for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal star has dropped down the pecking order after his side signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro. It's reckoned Jackson is priced at around £80m. But United could look to offer wantaway winger Alejandro Garnacho in a swap deal.
