Pick your Tottenham player of the season
We asked our Tottenham fan contributor for their four candidates for player of the season and you can now select your top one.
Lucas Bergvall
Bergvall has more than lived up to the promise he showed in pre-season. Not only has he excelled on and off the ball, he has never stopped striving for the win. When more seasoned professionals around him have struggled to lead the team, this young player has risen to the challenge.

Dejan Kulusevski
Deki had a particularly strong start to the campaign and is integral to our pressing style and ball retention. Don't let his time out with injury shorten your memory - the Swede's statistics speak volumes as to his dominance in a Spurs shirt this season.
Djed Spence
A breath of fresh air and a much-needed injection of hope, Spence's performances this season have demonstrated what it means to play without fear. He has been a joy to watch as he took on the opposition with courage and creativity, driving us up the pitch at home and in Europe.
Dominic Solanke
The engine of our team, Solanke simply never gives up. Even when heads behind him in midfield have dropped, he has kept running, kept pressing, kept trying. Some will criticise the number of goals scored, but no-one should underestimate the crucial work Solanke has done off the ball for us this season.

Honourable mentions
Brennan Johnson still receives a mixed reception from some of the Spurs faithful, but you can't argue with his impressive goal contributions this season – not only the number, but the significance of some of the goals too. As for Archie Gray, what an outstanding first season from him - and in an unfamiliar position. Thrown in at the deep end, at times he outperformed his more experienced peers. To dare is to do, indeed.

Tottenham approach Brentford over appointing Thomas Frank as head coach
Thomas Frank got Brentford promoted to the Premier League in 2021 and last season led them to 10th with 56 points. Thomas Frank got Brentford promoted to the Premier League in 2021 and last season led them to 10th with 56 points. Photograph: Nick Potts/PA Tottenham have approached Brentford over appointing Thomas Frank as their new head coach. The Dane is the club's No 1 target to replace Ange Postecoglou, who was sacked on Friday, and there is confidence that a deal will be struck in the next 48 hours. Negotiations are due to take place on the cost of recruiting Frank, who has a £10m release clause, and his backroom staff. The 51-year-old wants to join Spurs after almost seven years at Brentford, with c already in place. Advertisement Spurs have moved swiftly after parting company with Postecoglou, who lost his job despite winning the Europa League and ending the club's 17-year wait for a major trophy last month. The Australian's fate was decided after the chairman, Daniel Levy, looked past the side's European run and focused on a dreadful Premier League campaign. Spurs finished 17th last season after losing 22 games. That has not made the job less attractive to Frank, who will be taking over a team that earned Champions League qualification thanks to their triumph over Manchester United in Bilbao. Frank has established himself as one of the most respected managers in the top flight since leading Brentford to promotion from the Championship in 2021. They have steered clear of relegation battles and finished 10th last season. Frank has operated with a modest budget and has admitted that Brentford cannot hope to hold on to their best players if bigger clubs try to buy them. Bryan Mbeumo is expected to depart for Old Trafford this summer. It remains to be seen how Brentford respond if everything goes smoothly with Spurs and Frank departs. Kieran McKenna has been suggested as a potential replacement for Frank but it is not clear if he wants to leave Ipswich Town.

Reports: Thomas Frank to become new Tottenham Hotspur head coach
After firing Ange Postecoglou it appears Tottenham Hotspur will act very quickly to replace him as multiple reports claim Thomas Frank will become Spurs' new head coach. Reports from The Athletic, Fabrizio Romano and the BBC all claim that Spurs will pay the $13.5 million Brentford want in compensation for their talented manager. The reports also state that personal terms have been agreed and Spurs are expecting to seal the deal for Frank in the next 48 hours. Is this a good fit for Thomas Frank and Spurs? There is no current manager in the Premier League that is more deserving of a chance at a big club playing in the Champions League than Thomas Frank. He's earned this. The Danish coach has brought Brentford up from the Championship with a modest budget and for the last four seasons he's worked wonders to not only keep them in the Premier League but flourish. Frank has improved players such as Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, and countless others, building a dynamic, exciting and robust team. That is exactly the kind of team Spurs want. If Frank is their new manager Spurs will still be as stylish as they were under Postecoglou but they will have more substance and bite. Frank is a demanding but likable character and it will be intriguing to see how many of his stars at Brentford follow him to Spurs. For him the chance to coach in the Champions League at a huge club like Spurs is too good to turn down and he deserves this chance at one of the Premier League's 'big six' clubs. Now it's all about two things: 1) can he keep on overachieving and 2) will he be given several years to build this project at Spurs.

Tottenham closing in on Brentford's Frank in search for new manager
Tottenham are closing in on Brentford boss Thomas Frank (JUSTIN TALLIS) Brentford manager Thomas Frank is the man Tottenham have targeted to replace Ange Postecoglou, according to multiple reports on Monday. Postecoglou was dismissed after two seasons in charge on Friday despite ending Spurs' 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League last month. Advertisement Frank, who has been in charge of the Bees since 2018, led Brentford back to the top flight in 2021 after an absence of 74 years and has established the west London club in the Premier League. Hiring the Dane, whose contract runs until 2027, would cost Spurs around £10 million ($14 million) in compensation. The BBC reported that a formal approach from Tottenham is expected in the coming days. Spurs will play in the Champions League next season thanks to their Europa League success in Bilbao, where they Manchester United 1-0. However, Postecoglou paid the price for a miserable Premier League season as Tottenham finished 17th after losing 22 of their 38 games. Advertisement Frank began his coaching career in the youth set-up of the Danish national team before a three-year stint at Brondby. He initially joined Brentford as an assistant coach before stepping to replace Dean Smith, when he left to join Aston Villa. After losing out in the 2020 Championship play-off final, Brentford bounced back to win promotion through the play-offs a year later. Since then, Frank has established the Bees as a competitive Premier League force recording 13th, ninth, 16th and 10th-place finishes despite consistently selling some of his best players. Bryan Mbeumo is set to become the latest big-money departure from Brentford, with Manchester United interested in the Cameroon international, who scored 20 Premier League goals last season. However, Frank would reportedly be keen to take Mbeumo with him to north London should his move to Tottenham be finalised. kca/jw/ea
