Here's what's in the Oscars 2025 gift bags — including swag that's actually affordable
Have you watched any of the Oscar-nominated films yet? No? Well, you only have a few weeks left if you want to catch up before the winners are announced. The 97th Academy Awards is slated for Sunday, March 2, and we'll be tuning in for all the glamorous red-carpet outfits, over-the-top speeches and awkward moments.
Want a little peek behind the scenes before the big day? We found out what's up for grabs inside the six-figure Oscar gift bags received by select nominees. This year's swag bags, aptly called the "Everyone Wins" nominee gift bags, were provided by Los Angeles-based Distinctive Assets, an entertainment marketing company. The company gifts them to the top 25 acting and directing nominees. That means celebs including Adrien Brody, Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes, Cynthia Erivo, Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldaña will get one.
"While our gifts may be famous for being fun and fabulous, they also serve as a means to elevate small businesses, minority-owned brands, female entrepreneurs and companies that give back," said Lash Fary, founder of Distinctive Assets, in a press release. "This year, on the heels of the historically tragic L.A. fires, we have found even more ways that our celebrity swag can do good in our community."
So, what did stars receive this year? Some of the highest-ticket items include:
Over $1 million in personalized disaster recovery services from Bright Harbor
A five-night luxury wellness retreat in Sri Lanka from Santani
Four-night stays at two luxury resorts in the Maldives, Joali Maldives and Joali Being
ArtLipo body contouring with Dr. Thomas Su in Tampa, Florida
A stay at the five-star Cotton House Hotel in Barcelona
The full line of Miage luxury skin-care products
But not all of the swag is out of reach for those of us who aren't on the silver screen. Below, you'll find 10 affordable items from the Oscars swag bag, from a durable travel backpack to clean skincare. You can even snack on some of the items while you catch up on all the Best Picture nominations from your couch.

What do you get when you coat frozen raspberries in dark and white chocolate? A decadent, delicious, surprisingly low-calorie treat. TruFru's raspberries are picked ripe, coated in chocolate and flash-frozen for ultimate freshness. Keep them in your freezer, and when your sweet tooth starts demanding a little something, let them thaw for about 15 minutes before popping 'em in your mouth.
This foundation is super breathable and soothing, thanks to its aloe vera base, and it claims to help build collagen and elastin as you wear it. You can get 11 shades at Dermstore, or more on the brand's website.
"This is the only foundation that I will wear," said one Dermstore buyer. "It [protects] me from breakouts, is moisturizing and is super natural-looking while also providing solid coverage. I tried at least 10 different foundations before I found this one and always would wear full-coverage ones. This one has got me to love my natural skin and wear less makeup."
This NASA-inspired device is designed to help you fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer and sleep deeper. It uses red-light therapy and a patented 28-minute protocol that mirrors the natural cycle of light at the end of the day — the goal is to help your body wind down naturally. It's portable, so you can take it along when you travel to help beat jet lag too.
"This works and has led me to do more research on the benefits of red light," said a fan. "I mostly have noticed an improvement in sleep inertia that I suffered from. After using this (on first use) I woke up feeling great! Even when I get less than eight hours of sleep, I feel good."
Karma Nuts' air-roasted cashews are non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free, and they retain their natural skins for two times the fibre content. Celebs got a variety pack of bestselling flavours, including Sea Salt, Cocoa Dusted, Golden Turmeric, Cinnamon, Peri Peri and Toasted Coconut. (Note: I've tried the Toasted Coconut — it tastes like dessert!)
"I've always loved cashews, and when I read about these, I just had to try them. Extra-healthy, as they still have the skins on, which I'd never seen before," wrote one happy snacker. "Also, the flavours enhance the cashew flavour rather than masking it, and they don't add a bunch of empty calories."
If you're concerned about the amount of microplastics in your kitchen, get a wood-cutting board like this one from John Boos. This is more affordable compared with the brand's other high-end boards (we're not sure exactly which one celebs are receiving). It's reversible, so you can cut meats on one side and veggies on the other.
"Fits a small work area," said one fan. "Light enough to pick up often to clean in the sink. Can stand on edge to fit in cabinet. Excellent cutting surface for vegetables, cheeses. Nice charcuterie board."
Ilia's clean skin-care line aims to reveal "skin that looks like skin." Celebs will be receiving a few of the brand's makeup brushes, as well as its award-winning Limitless Lash Mascara, Clean Line Gel Liner and noncomedogenic Sunshift Cream Bronzer. The bronzer is infused with squalane to moisturize skin as you wear it, and it has 12 hours of staying power. Get it in one of four subtly shimmery shades.
"It is a lot easier to work with compared to regular powder bronzer, and I love the creamy/dewy results!" a fan said. "The shimmer and shade work well with my fair skin. It lasts all day and feels surprisingly lightweight. The only improvement would be if it were bolder, but I'm able to achieve the desired shade/look by layering!"
Shinery's Radiance Wash is a plant-based hand soap that also cleans your jewelry. It removes dirt, oil, lotion and product buildup to leave accessories sparkling and your hands soft and moisturized. Leave your rings and bracelets on, lather up with three pumps of the wash, then rinse and pat dry. You can also use the included brush to gently scrub any extra-dirty items.
"The best way to clean jewelry while wearing it," said one buyer. "Fast and easy. The shine it gives my diamonds and gold is amazing. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a jewelry store cleaning result."
Eatable's gourmet popcorn generally offers flavors inspired by happy hour, like its Pop the Champagne kettle corn. But Oscar nominees will be getting its limited-edition Dean Martin Popcorn Gift box. The flavors are even paired with Martin's songs: Pumpkin Spice Caramel Hot Toddy with "Baby It's Cold Outside"; Italian Black Truffle & Charcoal Salt with "That's Amore"; and White Chocolate Popping Peppermint & Candy Cane with "Let It Snow."

Loving Giving Local: Rhoxon Productions
Movie enthusiasts will benefit from this week's Loving Giving Local donation. A local movie production company that sponsors a film festival is this week's recipient. Rhoxon Productions got a financial gift from Auto Express Resale Center. Rhoxon is an Erie-based non-profit independent film company that creates organic stories that promote a positive change. Besides creating art, Rhoxon strives to create jobs and educational opportunities in the film industry. 'Our last few projects have been about healing and about coping, and our next two are about revamping the social justice system,' said Katie Nixon, RhoxonProductions co-founder. 'That's sort of our creative endeavors, and we also create educational opportunities for people to learn how to do this professionally.' Nixon says Rhoxon has a vision of creating 50 new jobs in the film industry here. And she insists you no longer have to be on the East or West Coast to have a film career. 'No, the landscape has changed so much. Even Netflix has created their new studio out in Jersey. It's not just that you have be in New York or LA,' she explained. 'Erie is kinda a really interesting place. You have beach, you have woods, you have city, you have country all within 15 minutes of each other.' That landscape diversity, Nixon said, makes Northwest Pennsylvania the perfect place for shooting movies. This week's Loving Giving Local donation will help support an upcoming film festival. Nixon said, 'We started the only multi-genre film festival here in Erie. It's the Lake Effect Film Festival, which will be in September. So that money will go to help make that event possible.' After making his check presentation, Joe Askins of Auto Express Resale Center said, 'We're pretty fortunate to have Rhoxon in our community and they're already doing great things. So for us to be able to deliver loving giving local and to learn the donation we bring is going toward their film festival, that's what Loving Giving Local is all about,' Askins said. You can learn more about the film festival and Rhoxon's work here. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Silver Airways cancels more than a dozen flights at Fort Lauderdale airport. Why?
Hollywood-based Silver Airways abruptly canceled all flights early June 11, telling passengers going to or from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the other airports it services to check with their credit card companies for refunds. "We regret to inform you that we are ceasing operations as of today, June 11, 2025," the heavily indebted company said around midnight Wednesday, June 11 on Instagram. "Please do not go to the airport. All credit card purchases should be refundable through your credit card company or your travel agency." The airline canceled 14 flights in and out of Fort Lauderdale that connected with airports across Florida and the Carribean. Silver Airways shut down after no one stepped up during a June 6 auction to buy the company, allowing Connecticut-based Wexford Capital to take control of it. "In an attempt to restructure in bankruptcy, Silver entered into a transaction to sell its assets to another airline holding company, who unfortunately has determined to not continue Silver's flight operations," the airline wrote in its social media post. Silver filed for bankruptcy protection in December with more than $100 million in debt. It was operating until Wednesday with a $5.7 million loan from Wexford, South Florida NPR affiliate WLRN reported June 6. The airline flew entirely within Florida and the Carribean. In Florida, it connected Fort Lauderdale with Tampa, Key West and Tallahassee. It also serviced Pensacola, but not directly with Fort Lauderdale. Silver Airways flew nonstop between Fort Lauderdale and Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, and the islands of St. Maarten and St. Kitts. More than 32,000 people flew Silver Airways in and out of the Fort Lauderdale Airport in April, the airport's latest passenger data shows, up 31% from a year prior. Silver Airways stopped flying out of Palm Beach International Airport last September. Chris Persaud covers transportation for The Palm Beach Post.
