Major martyred, three India-backed terrorists killed in Balochistan IBO
A Pakistan Army major was martyred during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan's Awaran district that killed three Indian-sponsored terrorists, the military's media wing said on Wednesday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was launched on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists belonging to Fitna-al-Hindustan, an Indian proxy group operating in the region.
'Security forces effectively engaged the terrorist hideout,' the statement read, adding, 'As a result of the intense exchange of fire, three Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.'

However, during the engagement, Major Syed Rabnawaz Tariq, 34, a resident of Muzaffarabad, embraced martyrdom. The ISPR said the brave officer was leading his troops from the front and fought gallantly before laying down his life in the line of duty.
A sanitisation operation is underway in the area to eliminate any remaining threats, the statement added.
'The security forces of Pakistan remain determined to root out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism,' the ISPR stated. 'Such noble sacrifices of our brave men only strengthen the nation's resolve to eradicate terrorism from the country,' it added.

The meeting is being held as part of Pakistan's efforts to strengthen collaboration between the OIC and the UN for maintenance of international peace and security. To express Pakistan's strong commitment, and unwavering support for the right to self-determination of the Palestinian people, the DPM/FM will also attend the high-level Conference on the 'Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the implementation of Two-State Solution'. During his stay in New York, the DPM/FM is expected to also have several bilateral engagements with his counterparts, as well as senior UN officials. Five terrorists killed in K-P's Hangu, say police
Listen to article At least five terrorists were killed during a security operation in Hangu's Zargari area on Saturday, local officials said. The joint operation was carried out by police and other law enforcement agencies after receiving intelligence about terrorists present in the area, Express News reported. A fierce exchange of gunfire took place, during which Hangu District Police Officer (DPO) Mohammad Khalid Khan and Doaba SHO Nabi Khan were injured, along with one officer from the security forces. DPO was reported to be in stable condition. He was initially moved to Kohat and is expected to be airlifted to Peshawar. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Kohat Abbas Majid Marwat accompanied him. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed contacted the injured officers to inquire after their health. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a telephonic conversation with DPO, who was injured during an operation against the Indian-sponsored proxy 'Fitna Al-Hindustan.' He inquired about his condition and commended his bravery and leadership. 'Under your command, the police team displayed immense courage and eliminated five terrorists of Fitna Al-Hindustan,' he said. He lauded the entire Hangu police team for their successful operation and described their action as a significant blow to terrorism. Naqvi also offered prayers for the swift recovery of DPO and SHO, who was also injured in the operation. 'You are the pride of the nation. We are proud of you,' he added.

Trump says he thinks 5 jets were shot down in Pakistan, India hostilities
WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump said on Friday up to five jets were shot down during recent Pakistan, India hostilities that began after an April militant attack in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), with the situation calming after a ceasefire in May. Trump, who made his remarks at a dinner with some Republican US lawmakers at the White House, did not specify which side's jets he was referring to. 'In fact, planes were being shot out of the air. Five, five, four or five, but I think five jets were shot down actually,' Trump said while talking about the Pakistan, India hostilities, without elaborating or providing further detail. Pakistan claimed it downed five Indian planes in air-to-air combat. India's highest-ranking general said in late May that India switched tactics after suffering losses in the air on the first day of hostilities and established an advantage before a ceasefire was announced three days later. India also claimed it downed 'a few planes' of Pakistan. Islamabad denied suffering any losses of planes but acknowledged its air bases suffered hits. IMF warns Pakistan-India tensions could threaten reform, fiscal goals Trump has repeatedly claimed credit for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan that he announced on social media on May 10 after Washington held talks with both sides.
