Box Office: Saiyaara Emerges a BLOCKBUSTER, Set for Strong Growth on Day Two

Saiyaara has emerged as a BLOCKBUSTER with the film set to register growth in business on its second day. Based on how morning shows have fared and how the current sales are moving, the Mohit Suri film is looking for a Rs. 25 crore plus day today. It could even move toward Rs. 30 crore but there will likely be capacity issues which will prevent it from doing so, that will get clear later in the day. Normally, you would wait for weekdays to make this call, but when the film is showing this kind of surge following an already outstanding first day, there is little doubt about it holding on weekdays. Still, the Monday hold will be confirming the verdict, but it's pretty much a lock at this point. Saiyaara started strongly in the morning, albeit a bit lower compared to yesterday, which is normal for a film that opened well. At the time of writing, it has caught up with its first day and now will start making gains from here on. The current sales today are going at a phenomenal pace, with online ticket booking portal BMS reporting double the sales today than it was yesterday. The film opened to Rs. 20.25 crore nett yesterday, which is an outstanding start for the film of this size. By EOD today, it will be close to Rs. 50 crore and the weekend is projected to be around Rs. 75 crore. This will set it up for a Rs. 150-175 crore plus final, which could go all the way to over Rs. 200 crore. The YRF film costs around Rs. 65 crore to produce and release, which on paper was a big gamble to put on a no-face cast. That, however, has paid big time as the film will recover all that from just the Indian theatrical share. The non-theatrical rights are linked to the box office and are expected to fetch a big sum as well. In all, the profits from the film will go over Rs. 100 crore, making it one of the most profitable films ever.

Saiyaara Day 1 Overseas Box Office: Mohit Suri's musical starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starts well; Grosses USD 0.445 million

Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri and starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, took an insane start of Rs 20.50 crore at the Indian box office, making it the biggest opening day registered by Bollywood debutants, and the fourth biggest opening Bollywood movie of 2025. The opening of Saiyaara is strong, not just in India but overseas too. The musical directed by Mohit Suri as grossed USD 0.445 million on day 1, and the weekend is heading towards USD 1.35 million. Saiyaara Grosses USD 0.445 Million On Day 1 Overseas The biggest overseas plays for Saiyaara are the traditional international markets like Middle East, followed by US/Canada, UK, Asia and Oceania. The breakdown for the same is as under. The Overseas Day 1 Collection Of Saiyaara Is As Under Saiyaara has caught steam and with YRF's strong international distribution network, the movie will reach its target audience. A lifetime total of over USD 3 million is in play, and that is with a big Hollywood flick like Fantastic 4: First Steps releasing just next week. Saiyaara's global day 1 stands at Rs 29 crore gross or so. There are no words to describe how incredible these collections are, especially for a film with newcomers. When a newcomer's film puts up such collections, the faith in the industry is re-instilled in the eyes of the exhibitors, who have been really struggling hard since the pandemic. The exhibition sector needs the newcomers like Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda to step up and take charge, so that the box office keeps thriving. Saiyaara Bookings For Day 2 Are Super Strong Saiyaara's bookings for day 2 are rock solid. A number to the north of Rs 20 crore net in India is a foregone conclusion, and it's now about how high it goes. The growth on day 2 shall be slightly less because day 1 was already huge and you can't grow much from an already big opening day. Saiyaara In Theatres

Industry Unites in Mourning Jackie Shroff, visibly emotional, stood in silent reflection, while Poonam Dhillon joined the family in remembering the man who had always carried himself with grace and humility. In an exclusive interview with ETimes, the 'Ganesh Leela' actor remembered Dheeraj Kumar. He said, "As a Producer, Dheeraj ji always had a special creative eye that made him different from the rest. It's really upsetting for me as an artist to hear about his demise after having worked with him. I made sure to attend his funeral to pay him my final tribute as my heart is filled with gratitude towards him. It is a difficult time for his family. May God bless the departed soul and may his family get the strength and courage to deal with this loss." Bollywood actress Hema Malini in Jaipur
