Karauli MLA Darshan Singh Gurjar and Dausa MLA Rambilas Meena also issued similar calls through social media or official letters.
The move has drawn criticism from teacher associations. A bench headed by Justice Surya Kant also told the panel to specify that those who submit claims for inclusion in the list can furnish Aadhaar cards. The survey, the order said, will be conducted digitally, and the required digital support will be given by the e-Governance Department. On the lines of SC survey One of the important aspects of the survey is linking Aadhaar of the individual above the age of six to the survey. A similar method had been implemented in the survey on Scheduled Castes population conducted by the H.N. Nagamohan Das Commission. The Aadhaar linkage is expected to make the survey more robust and accountable. In the first survey conducted by the H. Kantharaj Commission in 2015, the Aadhaar of the persons had not been linked, and caste groups, which were opposed to the findings, attacked the survey as 'unscientific' and error-prone. The government has asked the commission to utilise publicly available electoral rolls on the lines of the survey of Scheduled Castes. The Congress government, in June, announced re-enumeration of caste data in Karnataka to address concerns of some communities who complained of being left out of the survey that was conducted 10 years ago.

NEW DELHI: The opposition on Thursday hailed Supreme Court 's decision to direct the Election Commission to display the names of voters omitted from the voter list of poll-bound Bihar after special intensive revision. Hours after the top court told the poll body to display the names on its website, Congress said that the interim order is a "ray of hope" in a "long battle to save the republic." The top court asked the poll body to display printed booth-wise lists of deleted voters, along with reasons for their deletion, at panchayat and block development offices. The top court also directed the poll body to accept Aadhaar card as an acceptable document for establishing identity. "Your list of 11 documents seems citizen-friendly, but Aadhaar and EPIC are readily notice can say that those who have not submitted so far, they can submit their Aadhaar and EPIC also," Justice Bagchi said.
