Raja Raghuvanshi's sister has responded to the backlash she faced for sharing Instagram videos after his murder. Shrasti Raghuwanshi has claimed that her Instagram Reels kept her brother's murder case in the limelight, ensuring it does not fade from public memory.
Shrasti had come under immense backlash for sharing promotional content on Instagram after her brother Raja went missing during his honeymoon in Meghalaya and was subsequently found dead in a gorge.
Four days after the discovery of his body, Shrasti shared an Instagram video promoting a massage parlour in Indore. The video was taken down amid huge outrage, but she continued to share clips from Raja and Sonam Raghuvanshi's wedding on Instagram.
In many videos posted over the last few days, Shrasti has called for justice in the case and demanded strict punishment against Sonam, who has been accused of orchestrating her husband's murder with the help of her lover.
Shrasti Raghuwanshi has also been criticised for these videos, with a section of the internet accusing her of using her brother's death to increase her followers and Instagram reach. Shrasti Raghuwanshi had 3 lakh-odd Instagram followers until recently - but the number has now grown to 4.8 lakh.
In a video uploaded on Instagram, Shrasti addressed the criticism she has received.

'Some of you are saying I am using my brother's death to increase my views and followers. That is absolutely not the case,' she said, speaking in Hindi.
'If I did not post, if my posts did not go viral, perhaps my brother's killers would never have been discovered,' she claimed. 'If we had remained silent, maybe this case would have been closed in a couple of days. We have seen several such instances of this happening.'
Shrasti Raghuwanshi claimed that her Instagram Reels ensured the case did not fade from public memory. She further added that she would go to any lengths to obtain justice for her brother.
'Jisko jo bolna hai, galat bol rahe ho, sahi bol rahe ho…' she continued. 'I am getting to know what people are saying on Twitter and Facebook and Instagram. I am being trolled everywhere,' said the influencer.
She then turned on her viewers, asking what they were doing for her brother.
'Aap log kya kar rahe ho mere bhai ke liye?' Shrasti questioned. 'You should support me, stand by instead. Instead, you are blaming me,' she added.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of YouTuber Kanchan Kumari, alias Kamal Kaur, Bathinda police Friday said. A third accused, who is also the main conspirator and who claimed 'moral responsibility' of the murder, is absconding, they said. Kaur's decomposed body was found Wednesday evening in an abandoned car in the parking area of Adesh University in Bathinda, three days after she left her house to attend a promotional event, but later went missing. The 30-year-old influencer, had an account under the name 'Kamal Kaur Bhabhi' on Instagram with 3.87 lakh followers. She operated a YouTube channel called 'Funny Bhabhi TV,' which had 2.7 lakh subscribers and another account on facebook with 7.7 lakh followers. According to the police, Kaur's mother, Girja Devi, informed them that on the night of June 7, Amritpal visited their home in Ludhiana on the pretext of a business meeting and invited Kaur to travel to Bathinda for a paid promotional event. Amritpal allegedly returned on June 8, but Kaur refused. On June 9, Girija Devi told the police, Jaspreet and Nimratjit came to their home, after which Kaur left with them. Girja Devi told the police that after 11 pm on June 9, she lost all contact with her daughter. According to the police, at around 1 am on June 10, Jaspreet and Nimratjit allegedly drove Kaur to a deserted location where they strangulated her. The accused then placed the body in Kaur's car and Jaspreet drove it to the parking lot at around 5.30 am on June 10. He parked the car and fled with Nimratjit.

Chennai: A crucial narcotics case in Chennai fell apart after the prosecution submitted a key witness statement in Hindi — without any Tamil or English translation — leaving the court unable to understand the contents. The case began with the seizure of 4.6kg of hashish hidden inside 38 sheep-like toys in a courier parcel intercepted at Aramex, Ekkatuthangal, in March 2021. The parcel, booked under a West Bengal sender's name, was flagged as suspicious during X-ray screening. Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officers confirmed the contraband using field test kits and collected samples before launching an investigation. The accused was arrested based solely on statements from Ranjith Singh, a courier operator in Chennai, and U Ismail of Dil Express who allegedly linked him to the consignment. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14, 2020. He was 34. According to his post-mortem report, conducted at Mumbai's Cooper Hospital, the cause of death was 'asphyxia due to hanging." She was granted bail by the Bombay High Court in early October 2020. She spent 28 days in Byculla jail. Since the investigation's conclusion, Rhea has gradually returned to public life.
