Brit man found dead in the street in Ibiza: Police 'probing drug consumption'

Daily Mail08-07-2025
A police investigation has been launched in Ibiza after a British man was found dead on the Spanish island.
The Brit, said to be aged between 45 and 50, was already in cardiac arrest when emergency responders arrived at the scene near the popular resort of Playa d'en Bossa.
He died at the scene following unsuccessful attempts to revive him.
An autopsy has yet to take place but sources close to the investigation said the possibility his death was linked to drug consumption was being investigated.
The alert was raised around 12.30am this morning.
The man was found in the street near four-star Ibiza Twiins hotel.
There has not yet been any official comment from the National Police, but officers are expected to offer information tomorrow.
It is not yet clear whether the British man was on holiday on the island or lived locally, although he is thought to have been a tourist.
Sources confirmed he was a British national but could not specify his exact age.
MailOnline has approached the Foreign Office for comment.
The tragedy comes just weeks after a British tourist tragically died on his sun lounger while relaxing on a Greek paradise island beach.
The 73-year-old man was found by fellow beach-goers at the spot in Agia Paraskevi, Skiathos last month.
They alerted a lifeguard who provided first aid and called the emergency services, according to local reports.
A doctor from a nearby health center tried for 40 minutes to revive the tourist but unfortunately was unable to do so.
The man's cause of death is unknown, and an autopsy is being carried out.
A FCDO Spokesperson said: 'We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Greece and are in contact with the local authorities'.

Epstein's brother demands release of paedophile's unseen interviews

Jeffrey Epstein's brother is demanding the release of hours of unseen interviews with the paedophile financier as the clamour grows in Washington to find out whether he was protecting a circle of powerful figures. The controversy has roiled the administration of Donald Trump after he promised to release all the files from the Epstein investigation and subsequently has not. This week, the row hit a boiling point as it was claimed the President sent a lewd birthday letter to Epstein. Mr Trump has furiously denied sending the message and a drawing of a naked woman and is suing the Wall Street Journal and its owners including Rupert Murdoch for at least $10 billion (£7.4 billion). He has also ordered the justice department to release the grand jury transcripts in the 2019 case against Epstein. Now attention has turned to Steve Bannon, former chief strategist to the president. He spent hours with Epstein in the summer of 2019 in what is thought to have been his final interview before his arrest. 'Let me see the videotapes,' said Mark Epstein, who said he now had doubts about the official story that his brother died by suicide. 'He's my brother.' Epstein died in August 2019. His death in a jail cell triggered a wave of conspiracy theories, suggesting he had been murdered in order to ensure he could not implicate anyone in his circle of wealthy friends. Mr Trump promised to publish what became known as the 'Epstein files' but his Department of Justice this month announced that its review of the evidence confirmed he had died by suicide and there were no grounds for further investigation of his contacts. The story was catapulted back into the headlines at the end of the week. Mr Trump was accused of sending a message and a drawing of a naked woman to Epstein for his 50th birthday in 2003. Epstein's brother said the financier worked with Mr Bannon, a huge star in the Maga media world, after the Miami Herald in 2018 revealed the stories of women who said they had been abused. 'He told me he has like 15 or 16 hours of videotape of Jeff. He was trying to help Jeff rehabilitate his reputation,' he told NBC News. 'They spent a lot of time together.' A trailer obtained by the New York Post for a documentary entitled 'The Monsters: Epstein's Life Among the Global Elite' shows Mr Bannon with Epstein, who claims to be a supporter of the #TimesUp movement. 'I made my living from old thinking but the future is for the way women think,' he says. 'The way women think?' asks Mr Bannon. 'Is that not a sop because of all of the depravity you've done against young women?' Epstein grins. 'No … I've always believed that women would be, in fact, be able to take over,' he replies. 'I'm a firm believer and supporter of Time's Up.' Epstein was convicted in 2008 by a Florida state court of procuring a child for prostitution and of soliciting a prostitute as part of a controversial plea deal that meant he only served 13 months in custody. He was arrested again in July 2019, after a string of other women came forward to say they had been abused as minors. During the interview, he even foreshadows his own death. 'The greatest threat to people put in solitary confinement is they try to kill themselves,' he says. Mark Epstein said he has doubts about the official explanation of his brother's death.'My concern is that my brother was killed,' he said, adding, 'More and more, I believe he was murdered, and everyone who looks at all the information that's out there on facts comes to the same conclusion, correct?' At the end of the week, Mr Trump asked for the release of grand jury testimony connected to Epstein. The decision rests with a New York federal judge. 'With that being said, and even if the Court gave its full and unwavering approval, nothing will be good enough for the troublemakers and radical left lunatics making the request,' Mr Trump said on Saturday via his Truth Social website. 'It will always be more, more, more.' At the same time, his friendship with Epstein has been under fresh scrutiny since The Wall Street Journal reported details of what it said was a birthday message he had sent to the financier. It allegedly includes a sketch, depicting a woman's breasts and a 'Donald' signature in the place of pubic hair, and concludes with the line: 'Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.' The two both lived in Palm Beach and moved in some of the same circles, but they had a falling out before Epstein's first arrest. Mr Trump denied he had sent it and quickly launched a defamation suit against the newspaper, two reporters and Rupert Murdoch, its proprietor.

Tourist, 18, ‘sexually assaulted by bouncer and prostitute' on hols hotspot island after ‘he woke up naked' at brothel

A TEENAGE tourist was allegedly sexually assaulted by a bouncer and a prostitute on a holiday hotspot island - after waking up naked at a brothel. The alleged perpetrators were arrested by police after allegedly sexually assaulting the 18-year-old German holidaymaker in S'Arenal in Majorca, Spain. 2 2 The alleged victim claimed he was scammed out of €450 before being taken to a room and falling unconscious. He claimed he was then sexually assaulted while he was asleep - and woke up later on fully unclothed. Both of the suspects denied all of the charges against them on Friday, and the investigation is still ongoing. The man submitted the police report after going partying with pals at a brothel on Pare Bartomeu Salvà Street, commonly known as "Ham Street" on Wednesday night. But he claimed the group did not pay for any sexual services - they only stayed for drinks before leaving. After realising a staggering sum of €450 had been removed from his account, he returned to the brothel in the early hours of Thursday and demanded for the money to be sent back. He went back alone at 3am without his friends, and threatened to call the cops if his money was not returned. The doorman then allegedly invited him in, before he began to feel dizzy and was pushed into a room with another woman. The 18-year-old claimed he felt faint before falling completely unconscious. After an unspecified amount of time, the holidaymaker woke up and allegedly found the woman naked in front of him. Moment man who 'posed as Uber driver to attack woman' is stopped with 'rape kit' The teen claimed his clothes had also been removed and he was also laying naked. He also said there was a used condom on the bed where he had passed out. Immediately after realising he had woken up, the bouncer allegedly entered the room and pushed him out He also allegedly said to the teenager as he came in: "Get dressed and go." After leaving the hotel confused, he filed a report and told his mates what happened. He added that he did not drink any alcohol at the brothel. But he believes he was spiked at another local establishment before losing consciousness in the brothel. The young man went to Son Espases and then filed a police report, along with a medical examination for proof. The report also emphasised that the man went back to ask for his money back, and "did not want or intend to have sex with any woman". Local cops launched an investigation after receiving the complain. And hours later, they arrested the prostitute and the bouncer alleged to have carried out the sexual attack. The two defendants denied the tourist's accusation. According to their accounts, when the young man first visited the brothel, he wanted to pay for sex with the woman. He agreed to pay €450, but did so via bank transfer, which didn't arrive immediately. As the payment was not received straight away, the store manager told him he wouldn't be able to have sex with the woman until it was confirmed. The sex worker and bouncer alleged that the young man returned early the next day. And after verifying that the cash had been successfully transferred to the destination account, they allowed him to have sex with one of the employees.

Prince Andrew was asked to honour Jeffrey Epstein in special 50th birthday album

The Duke of York's close pal, Ghislaine Maxwell, contacted Jeffrey Epstein's rich and powerful friends, asking them for handwritten notes wishing the billionaire a happy 50th birthday Prince Andrew was asked to contribute to Jeffrey Epstein's 50th birthday album in which Donald Trump told the paedophile, 'May every day be another wonderful secret', it is claimed. The Duke of York's close pal Ghislaine Maxwell asked the sex offender's rich and powerful friends to write messages for the billionaire's 50th in 2003. The British socialite, 63, who is serving 20 years in a US jail for trafficking girls for Epstein, bound the tributes in a leather album. The gift was discovered by US Justice Department investigators probing the financier's inner circle. A US source told this newspaper: 'Ghislaine was the driving force behind the birthday tributes. She wanted it to be a who's who of Epstein's inner circle, and she leaned on a lot of people to write something. It wasn't just casual greetings. Ghislaine wanted messages that were personal, meaningful. 'Jeffrey... always saw Andrew as the pinnacle of his pals, and Ghislaine made sure he was asked to contribute. 'She framed it as a celebration of Jeffrey's brilliance, his generosity, his supposed unique mind. She made it sound like an honour to be included.' It is not clear if the prince did send a message. At the time, Prince Andrew was a regular fixture at social gatherings with his pal, who was convicted of a sex offence with a minor in 2008. The Duke has said he was not aware of Epstein's crime. Andrew, 65, was introduced to Epstein in 1999 by Maxwell. He visited the financier in New York, Florida and the US Virgin Islands, and hosted Epstein at Balmoral, Windsor Castle, Sandringham and Royal Ascot. Each time Maxwell was also present. In a 2014 court filing, Virginia Giuffre claimed she was loaned by Epstein to Andrew for sex three times as a teenager. Andrew repeatedly and vehemently denied her claims. She later sued him in New York for sexual abuse, which he settled out of court for a reported £12million. He continued to deny any wrongdoing, telling BBC Newsnight he had no recollection of meeting her. In April, Giuffre, 41, took her own life in Australia. Epstein, 66, died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019. The birthday album came to light after it was reported that Donald Trump had contributed a signed note. The Wall Street Journal claimed to have seen a 2003 typed letter featuring a permanent marker sketch of a naked woman. Trump allegedly wrote: 'A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret,' and also: 'We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.' Trump's links to Epstein stretch back to the 1990s. In a 2002 interview, Trump said: 'He's a lot of fun to be with… he liked beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.' ‌ The US President said the Journal story was faked, adding that he never drew pictures of women. However, some of his city skyline sketches have been sold at auction. Last month Elon Musk claimed the President was named in Epstein-related material. Trump called the claims a Democrat'scam' but he and key Republicans have since demanded the Epstein files be unsealed.
