Demi Lovato Is Working on "Celebratory" New Dance Album
Yara Sameh Fans of Demi Lovato's pop music can come out of mourning who is returning with new album. According to Rolling Stone published Monday, Lovato is set to resurrect her mainstream influences on a dance-heavy new album, despite committing to a punk-rock pivot over the past few years. Though many details of the LP are still under wraps, the publication confirmed that the singer has been hard at work on a 'celebratory dance-pop album' with executive producer Zhone, who says that the former Disney star is a 'master in the studio.' 'It's been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up,' he told Rolling Stone. 'This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music!' Zhone added. 'It really comes across throughout.' Led by an EDM-tinged single titled 'Fast' — which Lovato has been teasing via video snippets on social media — the upcoming full-length is expected to mark a return to the form of the Camp Rock alum's past pop-focused hits (think: 2015's 'Cool for the Summer' or 2017's 'Sorry Not Sorry'). It'll follow 2022's distinctly punk-rock effort "Holy Fvck". Shortly before releasing "Holy Fvck," Lovato commemorated the end of a pop-music era by posing solemnly in a photo with members of their team — including then-manager Scooter Braun — dressed all in black. 'A funeral for my pop music,' Lovato wrote at the time on Instagram. The star later doubled down on her pivot to rock music by releasing "Revamped," an album of past Lovato pop hits reimagined in the edgier genre. With the new album approaching, however, Lovato recently shared a video on TikTok poking fun at their past departure from the mainstream, writing, 'my pop music coming back to life after we held a funeral for it.' One major change in Lovato's personal life that has informed her musical homecoming is the vocalist's marriage to producer Jordan 'Jutes' Lutes,' according to RS. The pair tied the knot this past May. 'Over the past few years, Demi has found love, joy, and newfound confidence, making the choice to approach life with much more lightness and fun,' one unnamed source reportedly told the publication. 'She took this sentiment into the studio, which can be felt in every track on this celebratory dance-pop album.' Though Lovato always had an edgier sound than many of their fellow Disney Channel-bred pop stars, the performer shone in the pop-music landscape before transitioning away to rock. From 2008's debut LP "Don't Forget" to 2021's Dancing With the Devil, all seven of Lovato's studio albums leading up to Holy Fvck charted in the top 5 of the Billboard 200. Lovato has also scored a number of Hot 100 hits over the course of her pop career, including top 10 entries 'Heart Attack' and 'Skyscraper.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Marvel Plans to Recast X-Men, Tony Stark after "Secret Wars"
Yara Sameh A new X-Men and an all-new Tony Stark are coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In a wide-ranging conversation with press on Saturday , Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige confirmed that the company will introduce a new cast for the mutants in its upcoming 'X-Men' movie, directed by Jake Schreier ('Thunderbolts*'), following the events of 2027's 'Avengers: Secret Wars,'. Many actors who starred in the 'X-Men' movies of the 2000s and 2010s are reprising those roles in 2026's 'Avengers: Doomsday,' including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and Kelsey Grammer. In future films, the X-Men characters who appeared in previous movies will be played by new actors, along with mutants making their big screen debut. The decision echoes changes in the composition of the Marvel comics following the 2015 'Secret Wars' storyline, which involved multiple timelines collapsing and re-converging, mixing up the characters of the main Marvel timeline in the process. 'We're utilizing that [story] not just to round out the stories we've been telling post-'Endgame,' just as importantly — and you can look at the at the 'Secret Wars' comics for where that takes you — it very, very much sets us up for the future,' Feige said. ''Endgame,' literally, was about endings. 'Secret Wars' is about is about beginnings.' Feige, however, was also careful not to label the changes as a 'reboot,' instead, the executive said 'Secret Wars' will serve as a 'reset' for the MCU. 'Reboot is a scary word,' he said. 'Reboot can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Reset, singular timeline — we're thinking along those lines.' Later, he added, ''X-Men' is where that will happen next.' Feige noted that the X-Men comics, with their focus on Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, naturally centered on stories about adolescent characters. 'They have been a place to tell stories about young people who feel different and who feel Other and who feel like they don't belong,' he said. 'That's the universal story of mutants, and that is where we're going.' Even more intriguingly, the executive also indicated that other Marvel characters will eventually be recast, including its most iconic roles, like Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. He pointed to many other major film franchises that have done the same thing, multiple times over. 'Amy Pascal and David Heyman are now searching for a new James Bond,' Feige noted, referring to the producers of Amazon MGM's upcoming Bond film. 'David [Corenswet], the new Superman — he was awesome. That will always be the case.' Feige acknowledged that stars who've retired their original MCU roles like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans have made it difficult to imagine anyone else in their characters' shoes. But it isn't an impossible task. 'I think it's hard for anybody to do that when an actor has done such a great role,' he said. 'How are they going to ever replace Sean Connery [as James Bond], right?'. At least two legacy actors may still appear in the MCU, as well. Asked about his plans for a follow-up to Marvel's 2024 blockbuster 'Deadpool & Wolverine' with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, Feige, in typical fashion, made no definitive statements, but also did not close off any possibilities. 'I think there is more fun to be had with both of those characters,' he said. 'But we'll see where.' read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs

"Lilo & Stitch" Becomes First 2025 Title to Hit $1 Billion Globally
Yara Sameh Disney's live-action 'Lilo & Stitch' remake is the year's first Hollywood pic to hit $1 billion at the worldwide box office. After eight weekends in theaters, the family comedy has grossed $416.1 million in North America and $584.8 million internationally for a global tally of $1.001 billion. China's blockbuster 'Ne Zha 2,' however, remains by far the biggest film of 2025 with $1.899 billion in the bank. Originally planned as a straight-to-streaming release, 'Lilo & Stitch' is the latest example of the outsized returns that Disney can mine from theatrical with the right property at the right time. 'Moana 2' was also developed for Disney+, as a television show, and became a billion-dollar box office smash last Thanksgiving after the studio first released the animated sequel to the big screen. With those achievements, Walt Disney Studios has released four billion-dollar films in the past 13 months alone, including Marvel's 'Deadpool & Wolverine' and Pixar's 'Inside Out 2.' 'We knew there was a lot of love for 'Lilo & Stitch' with audiences around the world, yet we never take that for granted, and we're proud of how this new film has connected with people,' Disney Entertainment co-chairman Alan Bergman said. 'I'm thankful to our filmmakers, our cast and all on our studio team who have made this film such a success, and we look forward to more adventures with these characters ahead.' 'Lilo & Stitch' debuted in late May to $183 million domestically and $341 million globally in four days, setting the biggest Memorial Day weekend debut in history. It remained No. 1 for three consecutive weekends and became one of only two films this year (the Warner Bros. video game adaptation 'A Minecraft Movie' is the other) to surpass $400 million at this domestic box office. At one point, 'Minecraft' was poised to be the year's first billion-dollar blockbuster but the tentpole ended up falling just short of that milestone with $955 million worldwide. In the case of 'Lilo & Stitch,' top international territories include Mexico ($67 million), the United Kingdom ($49 million), and France ($42.5 million). Though 23 years have passed since the 2002's animated 'Lilo & Stitch' arrived in theaters, the character has never waned in popularity on the shelves of toy stores. In 2024, Disney sold $2.6 billion in consumer products featuring the 'Lilo & Stitch' duo. Now that a whole new generation has been introduced to the mischievous agent of chaos, merchandise sales are likely to keep soaring through the holiday season. Then there's Disney+ viewership, which has grown significantly every year on the streaming service, according to studio insiders. The franchise, which includes several direct-to-video movies and television shows, has driven more than 680 million hours of streams, with the original film accounting for more than 280 hours. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp and produced by Rideback, 'Lilo & Stitch' follows an adorable blue extraterrestrial creature who crash-lands in Hawaii and gets adopted by a young girl and her older sister. Disney already announced a live-action sequel is in the works, so get ready for more Stitch mayhem. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language
