We test three health waters
To get your two litres of water a day you just need to turn on the tap.
But there are now waters with health benefits.
Today I've put some to the test to see if they are worth the cost . . .
Alkaline water

You are left with an alkaline water with a PH of 9+ compared to your average water, which is about 7.
Some studies suggest higher PH might help with hydration, acid reflux and bone health.
This water has a smooth, clean taste.
My favourite of the three.

Protein water

Warrior Protein Water contains 10g of protein

IN each 500ml bottle of Warrior Protein Water there is 10g of protein as well as essential vitamins, with zero sugar and only 48 calories.

It comes in two flavours, tropical and berry, and is a clever way to boost your protein intake if you don't want to eat any actual food – plus you are obviously hydrating at the same time.
But this stuff is sweet. I tried the tropical flavour, which reminded me of Lilt.
Although it doesn't contain sugar, it does contain plenty of sweetener.
So unless you've got a sweet tooth, this is not for you.

I thought the lid was great, unlike some other bottles where they can flick open.
I had this one in my sports bag and it didn't spill.
From £1.67 for a 500ml bottle, Spar stores or teamwarrior.com.
Collagen water

Tide uses a premium collagen formula in their sparkling raspberry water

TIDE has just launched a sparkling raspberry collagen water that can help support glowing skin, strong hair and healthier nails.
It is a premium collagen formula with 3.5g of high-quality, hydrolysed collagen peptides sourced from wild-caught North Atlantic and Pacific Ocean fish.
When you drink marine collagen, studies have shown it can hydrate and firm skin, reduce wrinkles, improve skin elasticity and enhance the overall structure and appearance of skin.
There are zero artificial sweeteners or additives but this one is very sweet thanks to the addition of fructose, a natural sugar that is found in fruit, vegetables and honey.

It comes in at just 27 calories per 250ml can.
If you're drinking it for the collagen benefits I would recommend having two.

Shoplifting pals handed themselves in after being featured on ‘Crimecall' stealing €1.6k groceries
Caroline Collins (27) and Nellie Collins (29) filled a shopping trolley with goods and walked out of a Tesco without paying, a court heard Two friends who stole €1,600 worth of groceries from a supermarket handed themselves in to gardaí when they saw the theft featured on RTÉ's Crimecall. Caroline Collins (27) and Nellie Collins (29) filled a shopping trolley with goods and walked out of a Tesco without paying, a court heard. Judge Aine Clancy said she would spare them criminal convictions if they paid compensation to the shop. The accused, both with addresses at Cara Park, Coolock, Dublin, pleaded guilty at Blanchardstown District Court to theft. Garda Sergeant Maria Callaghan said the accused entered a Tesco in Adamstown, Lucan, on January 3, 2024, put €1,600 worth of assorted groceries into a trolley and then passed all points of payment. The incident was captured on camera and subsequently featured on RTÉ's Crimecall programme, Sgt Callaghan said. Nellie Collins, charged with theft. The pair handed themselves in to Coolock garda station, where they were arrested and charged but the property was not recovered. Caroline Collins, who was from a Traveller background, was having difficulties at the time and was 'racking up debts', her solicitor Simon Fleming said. She had since got a job and was now working as a healthcare assistant after getting a diploma, the court heard. 'She came forward when she saw the photos' on Crimecall, Mr Fleming said. Caroline Collins would lose her employment if a conviction was recorded against her, he said, asking the judge for leniency. The court heard the circumstances were similar for the co-accused, Nellie Collins. Judge Clancy asked if the accused were related to each other and Mr Fleming said the two women were friends. The judge said it was a 'very serious theft' and said the quantity of groceries taken was 'a lot' but she would strike the case out, leaving both accused without criminal records if they made 'full restitution' of the €1,600 between them. However, she said she would convict them and fine them €800 each in default. The accused were remanded on continuing bail to appear in court again on a date in November. The court heard free legal aid had been granted. Caroline Collins, charged with theft. News in 90 June 4th

I'm so happy with my Mounjaro body after dropping 4 stone but there's a side effect I hate & trolls say I ‘cheated'
SHE'S lost almost four stone since being on Mounjaro. But there's a side effect of the fat jabs that mum-of-two Sophie wasn't prepared for. Advertisement 6 Sophie has lost almost four stone since being on Mounjaro Credit: tiktok/@bargainlovingmam 6 But there's a side effect that she wasn't prepared for Credit: tiktok/@bargainlovingmam 6 Namely the fact that her bum has all but disappeared Credit: tiktok/@bargainlovingmam 6 But the positives of her weight loss journey far outweigh the downsides Credit: tiktok/@bargainlovingmam She Sophie then turned around and showed how her jeans looked from behind, as she said "there's nothing" where her bum used to be. "I have no ass!" she exclaimed. "Look at her!" Advertisement She then asked for recommendations for "jeans that give you an ass". Sophie added that she's bought two pairs of jeans from online retailer Halara that are on the way, but she doesn't know if they'll even fit. As she modelled her current jeans, in a size 12, she pulled at the denim round the bottom and thighs to show that there's very little filling it out. "So yeah any advice guys, because I've got no ass," she laughed. Advertisement Most read in Fabulous People in the comments were quick to offer their advice, with one writing: "Tesco jeans & River Island always work wonders for me!" "I LOVE River Island jeans!" Sophie replied. I'm on Mounjaro & having a kebab for dinner left me bedbound for 24 hours - but I'm trolled for not eating healthily "Think I'm going to have a nosey on Vinted for some - thanks babe!" "Next do lift & shape jeans," another said. Advertisement As a third recommended the "ASOS bum lift contour jeans". "Have you tried Tesco ones? They're super comfy!" someone else wrote. With Sophie responding: "Noooo I never go to the clothes section other than for the kids. "Will have to have a nosey!" Advertisement What to do if you lose too much weight too quickly whilst on Mounjaro IF you're losing too much weight too quickly while on Mounjaro, it's important to take action to avoid potential health risks like muscle loss, malnutrition, dehydration, and fatigue. Here's what you can do: Evaluate Your Caloric Intake Mounjaro reduces appetite, which can make it easy to eat too little. If you're losing weight too fast (more than two to three lbs per week after the initial adjustment period), try: Tracking your food intake to ensure you're eating enough calories (apps like MyFitnessPal can help). Increasing protein intake to preserve muscle mass (aim for 0.6–1g per pound of body weight). Adding healthy fats and complex carbs (e.g., avocados, nuts, whole grains) for balanced energy. Adjust Your Dosage (With Doctor's Approval) If your weight loss is too rapid or causing side effects, your doctor may: Pause dose increases or lower your dosage. Adjust your treatment plan to stabilise your weight loss. Strength Training & Exercise To prevent muscle loss: Incorporate resistance training at least two to three times per week. Stay active with low-impact exercises like walking or yoga. Hydrate & Manage Electrolytes Drink enough water (Mounjaro can reduce thirst). Electrolytes matter - Consider adding magnesium, sodium, and potassium if you feel weak or fatigued. Monitor for Malnutrition & Deficiencies Rapid weight loss can cause vitamin/mineral deficiencies (especially B12, iron, and electrolytes). If you experience: Fatigue, hair loss, or dizziness, ask your doctor about supplements. Consider Further Medical Guidance If your weight loss is excessive or causing health concerns, speak with your healthcare provider. They might adjust your dosage, diet, or exercise plan to help stabilise your weight loss. While Sophie has done incredibly well on her Mounjaro journey to date, her weight loss hasn't come without criticism. And Others have accused her of "taking the easy way" of losing weight, while some say she'll "put it all back on". "Don't lose anymore, you'll look ill!" is another one she's heard. Advertisement But Sophie hit back as she revealed the benefits she's found of losing weight, including the fact she's sleeping better, has more energy and has a "healthier relationship with food". Read more on the Irish Sun She's also four dress sizes down, mentally happier, able to run around after the kids and no longer binge eating. And one of the most important benefits - she's "finally happy looking in the mirror". 6 Sophie has faced criticism since she started on the weight loss injections Credit: tiktok/@bargainlovingmam Advertisement 6 But she does her best to ignore any trolling, urging other people to love the "body you're in" Credit: tiktok/@bargainlovingmam
