The Nice Guy episode 1 release date and time: Lee Dong Wook and Lee Sung Kyun's romantic K-drama might become your next binge-watch obsession
At the heart of the story is Park Seok-chul, played by Lee Dong-wook, the unlikely heir to a third-generation gangster family. While his bloodline carries a legacy of crime, Seok-chul is nothing like the men who came before him. He is sincere, soft-spoken, and values love over violence. The Nice Guy turns the typical "tough guy with a soft side" narrative on its head, promising a journey filled with emotional complexity, romantic tension, and the fight to break free from one's past.
If you like the storyline synopsis and want to learn more about The Nice Guy, as well as when and where to see it, here is everything you need to know:
What is The Nice Guy about?

Despite his family's horrible history, he lives with integrity, preferring kindness and loyalty to violence. His life takes an unexpected turn when he reunites with his first love, Kang Mi-young (played by Lee Sung-kyung), a determined singer trying to make it on her own.

K-Pop Demon Hunters' Cast Reveals How They Reacted To BTS' Shout-Out
Last Updated: KPop Demon Hunters has broken several records, including becoming Netflix's biggest animated original feature ever and the second most-streamed English original movie of all time. Netflix's K-pop Demon Hunters has become a global phenomenon. Released on the streaming platform on June 20, the animated musical has broken several records, including becoming Netflix's biggest animated original feature ever and the second most-streamed English original movie of all time. And that's not all, Golden, one of the songs in the film's soundtrack, made history on the Billboard Hot 100 chart by becoming the first K-pop girl group song, although fictional, to top the chart. Now, Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji Young Yoo, the stars behind the voices of the demon-hunting K-pop girl group HUNTR/X (Huntrix), are sharing their experience on receiving unexpected love and admiration from all over the world. The actresses sat down for an interview with Gold Derby and discussed the possibility of receiving awards and recognition from popular K-pop artists like BTS. For Arden, who plays Rumi, the lead vocalist of Huntrix, the possibility of getting an Oscar feels surreal. She said, 'It would be such an honour. We feel so lucky just to be here and to be receiving all this love. It's amazing to be part of a movie that makes everybody feel good." May Hong, who voiced Mira, shared that she couldn't 'wrap" her head around the fact that their film is contending for Oscars. Ji Young Yoo, who was the voice behind Zoey, the maknae of Huntrix, agreed to what May said and added, 'I think the fact that we went from making a movie that I think we all really loved and cared about to it developing into this phenomenon worldwide, to what is quickly becoming an Oscar and awards run…I'm just along for the ride, and I'll process it all after." KPop Demon Hunters not only received positive reactions from the viewers but also got a seal of approval from real-life K-pop artists. From BTS to Seventeen, some of the industry's biggest names have praised the film and its authenticity. When asked how they reacted after watching famous personalities embracing their film, the actresses shared that it was a 'we did it" moment. Arden mentioned, 'That stamp of approval! We're like… Yes, we did it! I think we're just so thankful because all of these idols and artists who are loving the movie have really helped us get here." May Hong added, 'When I see that they all have millions and millions of followers, I also can't wrap my mind around that they're so into what we have done. Obviously, we didn't sing or dance personally, but still. Even with Lee Byung Hun [the Squid Game actor who voiced Gwi Ma, the king of demons in KPop Demon Hunters], it's like, so that person knows I exist?" Sharing that they were initially worried about whether the audience would accept the depiction of Korea in the film, Young Yoo quipped, 'We wanted to make sure we got Korea right, that we got the culture right. All of us were like, 'Will they approve? Will they accept it?' So to see them not just accept it but embrace it, and support it, and give us so much love, is just the biggest sigh of relief. " She further added, 'The warmth that spread through our bodies when all of this started happening was really just wonderful, and as an ARMY for 10 years, going on 11 now, there's no words. I felt my organs shut down (when BTS mentioned the film)." Arden explained that the moment was unforgettable. 'All of our phones were blowing up. Everyone was like, 'Did you see it?'" she revealed. Meanwhile, Ji Young Yoo candidly mentioned, 'Everyone kept asking me what I thought, and there's no thoughts. I thought I might faint." A sing-along theatrical version of KPop Demon Hunters is set ot be released on August 23 and 24. view comments First Published: August 16, 2025, 11:18 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. BTS' RM Reveals His Love For Getting ‘Attention' Hasn't Changed Since Childhood
Kim Namjoon, aka RM, gave insights into himself for the first time since his discharge from the military earlier this year. Kim Namjoon, aka RM, stepped in front of the camera for the first time since he was discharged from the military after the completion of his mandatory service. The BTS star gave fans some insight into both sides of himself: his thoughtful, behind-the-scenes self and the confident one that owns the stage. He talked about both his personalities honestly with a touch of humour. When asked about an ideal of himself that is often misunderstood during an interview with Harper's Bazaar Korea, Namjoon answered by doing what he does best – being himself. He said, 'People say RM can't do that? But what is he actually good at? Now my image is an image of not being good at sports. I can't even play foot volleyball, I can't drive, I don't have a license." RM added, 'I have this image of not being good at things that require coordination, but surprisingly, I'm really good at skating." After a brief pause, he hilariously mentioned, 'Well, to that extent… Other than that, not much else. And dancing, it's not that bad. That's about it." RM Likes To Be An 'Attention Seeker' Furthermore, RM, the leader of the K-pop supergroup BTS, did not hesitate to share that he loves being in the limelight, and he was not subtle about it. The 30-year-old rapper talked about his childhood dreams compared to now, and said, 'I like to be in the spotlight. That's the same. I don't think being an attention seeker is a wrong thing." He recalled an anecdote from his childhood, when he was called the 'Talk Box." Namjoon mentioned, 'When I was a kid, my nickname was Talk Box. I used to gather interesting stories from the internet and share them with my friends. I also liked public speaking. I really enjoyed giving presentations. I liked making people laugh. I used to want to be a comedian. So, my desire for attention is quite similar." RM Reveals What Makes Him Feel Most Alive The BTS leader then shared what makes him feel alive the most. As the star RM, he loves performing, releasing new music and standing in front of a crowd of their ardent fans. And as Kim Namjoon, his most cherished moments are enjoying simple things in life with the people he loves the most. 'Being with people I like, without hesitation, or when I'm doing what I want in a place where no one recognises me. Travelling seems to be the closest thing to that, but honestly, I can't stay that way for long and want to come home soon. And working on music again makes me feel alive again," he explained. And just like the musician and his band, fans are also excited about their new music, which the group announced just days after their discharge from the military. BTS, as a unit, is gearing up to release a brand-new album in the first half of 2026. RM, along with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, began working on it last month in the US.
