
'Cyberpunk 2': 'Cyberpunk 2077' sequel enters pre-production
May 28 (UPI) -- The Cyberpunk 2077 sequel is officially in the works at CD Projekt.
The Polish video game company announced Wednesday that the new game, titled Cyberpunk 2, has entered the pre-production phase.
In a post on social media, CD Projekt congratulated the sequel's team on the milestone.
CD Projekt CFO Piotr Nielubowicz shared further details in a presentation about the company's Q1 2025 financial results.
96 of 730 developers are working on Cyberpunk 2 as of April 30, while 422 are focused on The Witcher 4, another highly-anticipated sequel.
The original Cyberpunk was released in December 2020 and was followed by a DLC, Phantom Liberty, in September 2023. CD Projekt said Wednesday that Phantom Liberty has sold 10 million copies.
The game features the voice and likeness of Keanu Reeves, who portrays Johnny Silverhand.

'Eyes of Wakanda' to release Friday on Disney+

In the preview released Monday, viewers are introduced to Wakanda's network of secret spies who carry out important missions. Wakanda was introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Ryan Coogler's Black Panther films. The four episodes in Eyes of Wakanda "follows the adventures of brave Wakandan War Dogs of the secret organization the Hatut Zeraze throughout history. In this globe-trotting adventure, they must carry out dangerous missions to retrieve Vibranium artifacts lost to the world," an official synopsis reads. The series is premiering than initially anticipated, Deadline reports, after it was scheduled to debut on Aug. 6, then Aug. 27. The voice cast includes Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Harry Herron, Adam Gold, Lynn Whitfield, Jacques Colimon, Jona Xiao, Isaac Robinson-Smith, Gary Anthony Williams, Zeke Alton, Steve Toussaint and Anika Noni Rose.
