UFC chief Dana White suddenly CUT from Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford fight
DANA WHITE has suddenly been cut from promoting Canelo Alvarez's fight against Terence Crawford.
TKO Holdings - who own the UFC and WWE - signed a multi-year partnership to establish a boxing promotion alongside Saudi Arabia's Turki Alalshikh.

As well as a UFC-style boxing league, two super-fights were set to be promoted by TKO and White every year.
And Canelo's blockbuster against Crawford was due to kickstart the partnership on Friday, September 12 in Las Vegas at the Raiders Stadium.
Then all of a sudden, Alalshikh told Ring Magazine - which he owns - that the date of the bout was set to change to Saturday, September 13.
And he was also considering having the bout move to New York or Los Angeles - opposed to the £1.5BILLION, 65,000-seat Raiders Stadium.
It caused huge confusion with the news the fight would also be under the Riyadh Season banner and on pay-per-view.
That suggested White and Netflix were out of the picture - with UFC 320 also set for September 13 and due to clash with the new Canelo date.
Now, Alalshikh has confirmed Saudi-based Sela will promote the super-middleweight title decider for Riyadh.
A broadcaster is not yet decided but Riyadh Season have an exclusive deal with sports streaming service DAZN - who operate a PPV platform.
Netflix debuted in boxing in November when Mike Tyson controversially came out of retirement aged 58 to fight Jake Paul.
And over 100 MILLION tuned in to watch YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul's points win - causing the stream to crash.
The dramatic turn of events leaves White and TKO's future in boxing up in the air - despite their plans to launch a brand new boxing league.
On Monday, May 12 Alalshikh revealed he was flying to New York with White also posting a picture in the Big Apple soon after.
SunSport understands Canelo, 34, and Crawford, 37, were also set to join them to film content with Netflix ahead of the bout.
But, just a day later and Alalshikh dropped the news that the fight's date and location was under consideration.
White is yet to comment on his apparent removal from the mega-boxing bout and the future of his league.
He has partnered with Alalshikh before having held two events in Riyadh in the past.
Canelo beat William Scull, 32, to regain the 168lb undisputed thrown in early May as part of his four-bout deal with Alalshikh.
Meanwhile Crawford has not fought since moving up to 154lb to win the WBA title against Israil Madrimov, 30, in August 2024.

Yankees tally five times in first, outlast Red Sox
June 7 - Jazz Chisholm Jr. hit a two-out, three-run homer in a five-run first inning off Walker Buehler Friday night for the host New York Yankees, who raced out to a big lead and earned a 9-6 victory over the Boston Red Sox in the first meeting of the season between the rivals. Buehler (4-4) was one strike away from stranding two in the first but hung a 0-2 curveball. Chisholm's clout carried landed on the netting above Monument Park. Chisholm added an RBI single in the third and is now 5-for-7 lifetime in the regular season against Buehler. He finished with three hits and is 8-for-16 in four games since returning Tuesday from a 28-game absence due to an oblique strain. Anthony Volpe hit a two-run homer into the right-center field seats in the first but also left the game with a left elbow contusion after being hit by a changeup in the second. Volpe was hit with the bases loaded and Paul Goldschmidt scored after reaching base via a throwing error by Boston rookie Marcelo Mayer. Aaron Judge had three hits, including an RBI single in the fifth. Judge ended the night with a .397 average. Goldschmidt blasted a solo homer in the sixth as the Yankees won for the 20th time in 27 games since dropping three straight May 3-5. A 2024 World Series hero for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Buehler was tagged for seven runs -- five earned on seven hits in two innings. He struck out two and walked two in his shortest outing this season. Mayer hit his first career homer in the fifth and Rafael Devers slugged a two-run drive in the seventh for the Red Sox, who lost for the ninth time in 12 games. Wilyer Abreu lifted a sacrifice fly in the sixth and pinch hitter Romy Gonzalez had a two-run single in the sixth. New York's Will Warren (4-3) allowed four runs on three hits in 5 1/3 innings after getting shelled for seven runs in 1 1/3 innings in Saturday's 18-2 loss to the Dodgers. The right-hander struck out six and walked four. Brent Headrick gave up the homer to Devers and Fernando Cruz finished the seventh with two strikeouts. Jonathan Loaisiga pitched a scoreless eighth and Devin Williams converted his seventh save. --Field Level Media

The stunning reason Hugh Jackman delayed announcing his sporting partnership with Ryan Reynolds
Hollywood superstars Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds have officially joined forces as co-owners of Australia's SailGP team, the BONDS Flying Roos, but it turns out the partnership has been in the works for months. The announcement was finally unveiled this week - but not without months of behind-the-scenes tension. Plans to announce the partnership were originally scheduled for January 2025. However, the reveal was postponed as Jackman's personal life unravelled in the public eye. In May 2025, Jackman's ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, filed for divorce in New York. The filing followed a September 2023 separation, ending a 27-year marriage that began in April 1996. Soon after, Furness issued a searing public statement referring to a 'traumatic journey of betrayal' and a 'profound wound.' Her comments reportedly blindsided Jackman, who had expected a more discreet resolution. The couple's split came amid speculation about Jackman's new relationship with Broadway co-star Sutton Foster. Their romance became public in January 2025, further fuelling headlines and public interest. Furness later claimed she felt betrayed, especially after Foster had tried to befriend her during the marriage. The emotional fallout and media frenzy put Jackman's professional ventures on pause. The planned January announcement of his sports ownership with Reynolds was shelved due to the controversy. Backers of the Australian SailGP team had hoped the noise would die down. But as the headlines persisted, they opted to go ahead with the launch regardless - despite it becoming the worst possible timing. Jackman and Reynolds are now officially the faces behind the rebranded BONDS Flying Roos. Reynolds and Jackman released a cheeky joint statement filled with their trademark wit. 'We're incredibly excited to set sail together in this new adventure,' they wrote. 'Hugh brings a deep love for and pride in his home country as well as being an avid fan of sailing.' 'He will also be bringing his overly clingy emotional support human along for the ride.' 'Apologies in advance to Australia. No comment on whether we're writing this in our BONDS. No further questions.' The announcement comes as Wrexham, Reynolds' football club, prepares for a pre-season tour of Australia. It also adds another chapter to Reynolds' growing portfolio, which includes Aviation Gin and a stake in Alpine Formula One. Meanwhile, SailGP's Australian crew, led by Tom Slingsby, are leading the current championship with 39 points. Slingsby, who is also a co-owner and driver, welcomed Jackman and Reynolds with enthusiasm. 'This is an incredible milestone for us and for our sport,' Slingsby said. 'They bring unmatched star power, a love for storytelling, and a sharp sense of humour.' 'With BONDS joining as our Title Partner and the launch of the BONDS Flying Roos, we're building something distinctly Australian.' BONDS, now launched in the US with help from Robert Irwin, also sees the partnership as a defining moment. Tanya Deans, president of BONDS, called Jackman 'Australian royalty' in her statement. 'We're thrilled to join forces with such an iconic duo,' she said. 'And how do you say no to Hugh Jackman?' 'As we set sail on this new adventure, the BONDS Flying Roos have one less thing to worry about.' 'We've got their backs - and bums - covered.' The team's official rebranded debut will take place at the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix.
