Devang, Divyanshi claim titles in badminton championship
The Moradabad player Devang created a major upset in the semi-finals, defeating top seed Sumit Tiwari 21-14, 17-21, 21-14 in one of the most closely contested matches of the tournament. Both players engaged in long rallies, smashes, cross-court shots and drops, but luck appeared to favour Devang as he secured a place in the final.
In the final, Devang emerged victorious against Prakhar Tiwari of Prayagraj in straight games, 21-10, 21-16.
In the girls' singles, top seed Divyanshi Gautam comfortably defeated Rudrakshi Rana of Meerut 21-09, 21-14. Her combination of cross-court placings and drops proved too much for her opponent. Rudrakshi attempted to fight back with smashes but couldn't gain points, while Divyanshi executed multiple down-the-line smashes to win crucial rallies.
The girls' doubles title was claimed by Adiya Yadav (Gorakhpur) and Ridhima Singh (Moradabad), who overcame the Agra pair of Palak Yadav and Sanghmitra Gautam 21-11, 21-17.

Malik Beasley eviction over $21K rent sparks Detroit controversy and deeper concerns (Image Source: Getty Images) NBA player Malik Beasley is making headlines again, and it has nothing to do with basketball. Back in 2024, he got taken to court not once, but twice, for skipping out on rent. This all went down in Detroit, where he was staying at the time. The issue has now become public, and fans are surprised. With the eviction confirmed and no word yet from Beasley, many are wondering what's going on behind the scenes. Malik Beasley reportedly sued twice for unpaid rent in Detroit According to TheDunkCentral on X, 27-year-old Malik Beasley was kicked out of his Detroit apartment after two lawsuits this year. The total rent he missed was around $21,500. The first time the landlord took him to court was way back in February. Then again in May. Same issue both times - no rent paid. — TheDunkCentral (@TheDunkCentral) Both cases were filed by the apartment owner. No details have been shared about which building it was, but it happened somewhere in downtown Detroit. Beasley hasn't said a word publicly about any of this. Last time we saw him on the court, he was with the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2023–24 season. After that, in July, he became a free agent. Since then, there hasn't been any word on his next move. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like No annual fees for life UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo There's been no update about him signing with a new team since.
