New Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x Editor Review
The new Airwrap isn't available to shop until July 8 on dyson.com and sephora.com, but for now, you can check out my full review below for all the details, plus my thoughts on whether the new Airwrap is worth trying for yourself.
Back in early June, I sat down with Dyson's top engineer to hear all about the new Airwrap and was honestly so impressed with the improvements to the tech. It's equipped with a new motor that's 30 percent more powerful and produces double the air pressure (hence the name Coanda 2x) than the original. What does that mean for you? Faster drying and styling, whether you want a bouncy blowout or a sleek look. (I can attest that this is true, more details below.)
The new Airwrap Coanda 2x comes with six attachments that dry, curl, wave, straighten, smooth, and volumize depending on how you use them (per the brand, this is the only multistyler on the market that includes this many attachments with purchase). One of the attachments—the AirSmooth 2x—is entirely new. It reminds me of a mini Airstraight (Dyson's wet-to-dry straightening device) that can be used to smooth and straighten smaller sections of hair, like bangs or baby hairs.
And like the previous iteration of the Airwrap, the Coanda 2x is compatible with the MyDyson app for a smarter styling experience based on your hair type and preferences.
The Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x comes in two colors—Ceramic Pink (a pale pink) and Jasper Plum (a dark metallic-ish purple)—and in sets for straight/wavy hair or curly/coily hair, so the set you buy will determine the exact styling attachments that you get.
There are currently three Airwraps on the market—the original Dyson Airwrap, the Dyson Airwrap ID, and now the Coanda 2x. The new Coanda 2x looks pretty similar to the Airwap ID, but it feels more lightweight (the difference is definitely noticeable when holding the two versions side by side). The power of the motor is a key differentiator for the Coanda 2x as well. I was never able to use the old Airwrap to fully dry my hair (it took waaaaay too long), but with the new ones' upgraded motor, it truly works just as well as any other regular hair dryer I've tried.
In addition to the new AirSmooth 2x attachment for smoothing and straightening, the Coanda 2x features a revamped paddle brush attachment (officially called the Anti-Snag Loop Brush 2x) that is designed to give you more control while styling, especially at your roots and ends. The curling wand attachments also have angular, square-shaped tips (as opposed to a rounded one) with the intent of being easier to grip when styling. See comparison pics here:
I'd be remiss if I also didn't mention the price difference. The new Airwrap is Dyson's most expensive hair tool to date and costs $699.99. So $100 more than the original. Obviously $700 for a hair styling tool is WILDLY expensive, so I'll get into whether or not it's worth the price tag below.
During my meeting with Dyson to learn about the new Airwrap, I was lucky enough to have celeb stylist and Dyson ambassador Matthew Collins style my hair with the device so I could learn the ins and outs. As expected, my hair looked incredible with the help of a pro. But to my surprise, I got the same smooth, bouncy effect when doing my hair at home.
My hair is super frizz-prone, and with the old Airwrap I'd always have some flyaways after using the dryer attachment, but with the Coanda 2x I noticed a much smoother finish. I have fine hair, but it's long and I have a lot of it but the new Airwrap was able to fully dry my hair in seven minutes—something the older model could never do. The new Airwrap combines the benefits of a multistyler with the power of a real hair dryer, which is pretty major IMO.
With my old Airwrap, I'd typically use the paddle brush and curling attachments most often, but with the new one, I find myself reaching for the round brush and new AirSmooth. The round brush bristles are updated on the new Airwrap, and they glide through my hair so easily without any pulling or tangling. And the new AirSmooth attachment is a must if you have frizz or flyaways like me. It's the perfect shape and size for maneuvering around your hairline and crown; I use it on face-framing pieces that need a little extra polishing and to calm down my annoying "post-partum bangs" that poke up by my temples. It's also great for quick touchups, so if I don't have time to blow dry my hair, I'll air dry and then go in with the AirSmooth to clean up frizzy spots.
Overall, the new Airwrap Coanda 2x made styling my long hair easy, and I loved the lightness of the design too. So if you don't already own a Dyson Airwrap, I'd say the new model is worth it, no doubt. It works better than other multistylers I've tried and is suitable for all hair types and textures. It's also relatively gentle on hair thanks to smart sensors that measure and regulate heat and airflow. And the power of the motor, coupled with the revamped attachment, justifies the extra $100 IMO. But if you already own one of the older models and you like how it works, there's no reason to upgrade to the new Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x (yet).

Dyson Week deals include the 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum for $300 off
Dyson is hosting a week-long sale on many notable products. This includes the well-regarded Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum for $300 off , bringing the price down to $700. This is the best discount we've seen on this particular model. The Vis Nav made our list of the best robot vacuums . This was primarily based on the item's superior suction power, especially when compared to rival units. We said it had the strongest suction power of any robovac we've tested and made short work out of dog hair stuck to carpeted floors. We noted that the suction power is on par with the company's stick vacuums in our official review . This is the lowest price we've seen for the model. $700 at Dyson The unit also boasts a fantastic obstacle avoidance system, thus the 360 in the name. Cameras and LED lights help the vacuum navigate around things like furniture. It doesn't fully avoid crashing into a chair leg once in a while, but we found that this happened rarely. We also never got any alerts that the robot got stuck somewhere while working. The bin here is on the larger side, but this unit is missing some key features found with other pricey robot vacuums. This is a really good vacuum and nothing else. It's not a hybrid unit, so there's no mopping functionality. It also lacks a self-emptying base. Dyson is also selling the V8 Absolute stick vacuum for $360 , which is a discount of $160. The 15s Detect Submarine Absolute wet and dry vacuum is on sale for $800 , which represents $200 in savings. This week's sale also includes stuff like hair dryers and air purifiers. Follow @EngadgetDeals on X for the latest tech deals and buying advice .

The Premium Dyson Zone Headphones Are Down to a New Low Right Now, but Only for Three Days
While many of us associate Dyson with high-quality vacuums, the company also makes appliances such as the viral Airwrap. Along with that, it also makes some very high-end headphones, but they're generally far more expensive than most people would like. Well, Woot currently has a deal on the Dyson Zone active noise-cancelling headphones that brings them down to $200, which is a massive $500 off the normal price. In fact, it works out to a 71% discount -- but the deal is only on for another three days. If you live in a city or commute often, you'll appreciate the attachable visor that delivers purified air to your nose and mouth without touching your face. Speaking of being on the move, the battery will last up to 50 hours with just audio and noise cancelation, or 4 hours when the air purification feature is active -- perfect for busy days. Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money. This smart device also lets you monitor air quality and tweak settings using the MyDyson app. At $500 off, this is one of those rare deals that don't come around often. Still, if you think this discount isn't for you, check out our list of the best headphones deals to explore some more options. Why this deal matters Dyson is known for precise engineering, and it shows with this pair of headphones. And a rare 71% discount lets you grab this premium device for way less than half the original price -- but it might not last for long. Quantities on Woot are always pretty limited. So, if you've been looking to upgrade, this is your chance to score the Dyson headphones at a new low price. It's also worth considering that Dyson no longer makes or sells these headphones itself -- so when third-party stock is gone, it's gone for good.

The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer Is at an All-Time Low, Prime Day Can't Compete and Stock Is Tight
Air drying your hair in this hot and humid weather is nothing short of sending a direct invitation to frizz. Sure, you could pull out your old hair dryer, but that would mean trading frizz for heat damage. This is exactly why Dyson – the brand behind the famous Airwrap (aka the PS5 for girls) – deserves all the hype it gets, and right now, you can get one of its most efficient hair dryers without the usual Dyson price tag. Amazon is currently offering the Dyson Supersonic Origin hair dryer for just $300. While we still won't call the dryer cheap, that's a decent $80 discount on the retail price of $380, and enough savings to maybe splurge on Dyson's newly launched hair styling products. See at Amazon Unlike most other Dyson tools, Supersonic comes with a single attachment — the styling concentrator. The V9 motor spins up to 110,000 times per minute for fast, effortless blow-drying. Of course, that doesn't mean heat damage, since the built-in heat control feature measures air temperature over 40 times per second to keep it from ever getting too hot. The attachment doesn't blast air all over the place. You get a concentrated flow that makes for more controlled styling, which is especially great for tricky sections like bangs. Choose from three precise speed settings – high for quick drying, medium for regular drying, and low for diffusing. You also get four heat settings, plus a cold shot to lock the style in. The motor itself resides in the handle of the dryer, which makes it easy to carry. You won't be left with a sore arm by the end of styling just one section. Smooth yet bouncy blowouts are a given for anyone with long hair, but those rocking short styles get just as much out of it. Even better, if you ever want to experiment with other styling options, Supersonic is fully compatible with Dyson's range of add-on attachments. These include a diffuser, a flyaway attachment, a wide-tooth comb, and a powerful air attachment for even faster drying. All these retail for around $40, but you can grab them for less during sale season. All in all, this deal is a rare chance to grab a high-performance Dyson dryer without spending the full $380. The tool saves you the frizz and a lot of salon visits, where a single blowout can easily cost $40 to $60. Basically, this deal pays for itself after just a few months. Plus, Dyson discounts are few and far between, especially on one of its most popular models, so it's worth snapping up while it's still available. See at Amazon
