John Stamos had this to say about Karen Read trial at Beach Boys show

Yahoo16-06-2025
Apparently, "Uncle Jessie" has been following the Karen Read trial too.
During a June 10 performance with the Beach Boys in Lowell, Massachusetts, actor John Stamos of "Full House" fame said he had invited Karen Read, the woman accused of killing Boston Police officer John O'Keefe, but she didn't show up.
"I'm addicted to the trial," Stamos said.
Stamos is an avowed true crime fan, according to CNN reporting.
Stamos didn't make his position clear on whether he thought Read was guilty or innocent and played the invitation comment off like a joke. The crowd roared at the reference in acknowledgement.
Stamos is not an official member of the Beach Boys, but he has played with the band for about the last 40 years as a special guest, as he says in the clip.
According to ABC News reporting, Stamos delivered the news of the Beach Boy Brian Wilson's recent passing to bandmate and cousin Mike Love.
"It's absolutely heartbreaking," Stamos said to ABC.
The 12-person panel began deliberating Friday, June 13 on the three charges against Read: second-degree murder, vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death.
The jury continued deliberating as of June 16 at 4 p.m.

CNN Data Chief Spots Why Trump Is So Fixated On Talking About This Key Issue

CNN's chief data analyst Harry Enten on Thursday revealed that registered voters have increasingly favored Donald Trump's handling of crime with the president's takeover of the Washington, D.C., police force now in effect. Enten highlighted polling data showing how Trump's net approval rating (percent approval minus percent disapproval) on crime has increased from -13 in March 2024 (in an analysis of his first term) to +1 this month. The latter polling figure, he noted, doesn't take into account the situation in the nation's capital but does account for Trump federalizing the California National Guard to respond to mostly peaceful protests against his immigration agenda in Los Angeles. Related: Aside from federalizing the police force in Washington, Trump also deployed hundreds of National Guard troops to fight what he described as 'bloodshed, bedlam and squalor and worse' (in reality, reported violent crime is down in the nation's capital). 'I think that Democrats have to get it around their heads that Americans are far more hawkish on crime than they think that they are,' Enten told CNN's Kate Bolduan. He later continued, 'Crime is one of Trump's best issues. It's one of the reasons why he wants to talk about crime, because it favors him.' Enten went on to point out that Trump is 'towering over' Joe Biden like 'Air Jordan' on crime, with the president boasting a +1 net approval rating on the issue compared to his predecessor, who registered a -26 last year. 'It was one of Biden's worst issues. Granted, pretty much every issue was one of Biden's worst issues,' he added. As the midterms approach next year, Enten noted that voters have continued to side with Republicans when asked which party aligns closer to their views on crime and policing. 'So Republicans in the House, Republicans in the Senate. They absolutely want to be talking about crime,' he said. 'The more they feel that we're talking about crime, the better they feel that the electoral landscape is for them.' Related... Taylor Swift Breaks A Record Previously Held By Trump, And She Did It In Just An Hour

We're sure there will be bad blood. Taylor Swift has broken a record previously held by President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, the Grammy winner appeared on the 'New Heights' podcast hand-in-hand with her boyfriend and co-host Travis Kelce, as his older brother, Jason Kelce, interviewed Swift for a little over two hours. The Daily Beast reports that 1.3 million viewers tuned to watch the podcast episode on YouTube within the first hour that it was online. The outlet notes that reps for the 'Shake It Off' singer confirmed the number. The figure trumps the record previously held by Trump. His appearance on the 'Joe Rogan Experience' in October 2024 saw 800,000 people tune in within the first hour, according to CNN data analyst Harry Enten. CNN host Kate Bolduan also noted Wednesday the episode is 'already on track to become one of the most watched podcasts of all time.' Trump will likely be pretty peeved about Swift mopping him up. The president expressed hostility towards the 'Blank Space' singer after she publicly endorsed Kamala Harris in the build-up to the 2024 presidential election. 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' he wrote in all caps on his Truth Social platform at the time. In May, the president proved he was no Swiftie yet again when he published another post on Truth Social that read: 'Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,' she's no longer 'HOT?'' We suppose that at least 1.3 million people think otherwise.
