Both Rozenstruik and Perez are coming off wins on the same fight card, Dirty Boxing Championship 2 – which went down last month in Miami.
In his promotional debut and first fight since getting released from the UFC, Rozenstruik, 37, defeated Victor Cardoso by second-round TKO. Rozenstruik is a combat sports veteran, having had a lengthy career in kickboxing and MMA. He competed in the UFC for six years, headlining six events and picking up eight stoppage wins. His UFC release caught many by surprise, as he was on a two-fight winning streak before losing to top contender Sergei Pavlovich by decision in February.
Perez, 32, stopped MMA veteran Alex Nicholson at Dirty Boxing Championship 2. Unlike Rozenstruik, that was Perez's third appearance with Dirty Boxing Championship. Perez has competed in bareknuckle boxing, regular boxing, and even Power Slap.

UFC 318: Paulo Costa dominates Roman Kopylov for much-needed win, calls out Khamzat Chimaev as promised
Paulo Costa promised a different sort of fighter after a cold streak and a year-long layoff from fighting. He delivered at UFC 318. The former middleweight challenger notched his first win in nearly three and his second in nearly six years with a unanimous decision win (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) win over the rising Roman Kopylov. An underdog entering the fight, Costa looked like the fighter that began his career 13-0, knocking down Kopylov in the first round and dominating for much of the fight. Kopylov got some major shots in the third round, but not nearly enough to reverse possession of the night. The best that could be said for Costa is that all his losses were against some of the UFC's best. Israel Adesanya used one of his best performances to hand him his first loss. Marvin Vettori and Robert Whittaker both won via unanimous decision. Sean Strickland needed a split decision to beat him in a bizarrely inactive bout. It was after that last bout at UFC 302 in June 2024, that Costa took a long lay-off. He promised to be aggressive again against Kopylov, whose own fight style promised a firework show if Costa followed through. He did, and the result was one of the most impressive performances of the Brazilian's career. We already have a clue on where Costa goes from here. Like his promise to be the aggressor, Costa promised he would call out future middleweight challenger Khamzat Chimaev after a previous fight date fell through. The two have been the opposite of friends for quite some time, though Costa might need more than just this win to get Chimaev if the latter beats Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 319 in August. UFC 318 results: Daniel Rodriguez vs. Kevin Holland goes totally off the rails
It was a fight UFC matchmakers had tried to make multiple times prior and when it finally came to fruition, it proved worth the wait. Daniel Rodriguez and Kevin Holland came to blows Saturday at UFC 318 and those in attendance at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans were treated to an all-time-wild brawl. When the dust settled, Rodriguez (20-5 MMA, 10-4 UFC) was named winner by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). As the fight progressed, the craziness increased. Rodriguez had a strong first round, but peaked in Round 2 when he froze and dropped Holland (28-14 MMA, 15-11 UFC) with a combination. Holland somehow survived and scored a beautifully-timed takedown midway through the round. In Round 3, Holland stunned Rodriguez multiple times. Uppercuts were his biggest weapons, which totally flashed Rodriguez twice. Although the referee he was close to intervening, he did not. Rodriguez was allowed to fight on and for good reason. He scored a takedown on Holland and entered mount. Rodriguez, 38, has won three fights in a row. He entered UFC 318 off back-to-back wins over Alex Morono and Santiago Ponzinibbio. Holland, 32, has been the UFC's most active fighters in 2025. However, he may need a little time off due to the laceration he suffered near his right eye. Holland has a two-fight winning streak snapped and moves to 2-2 in the calendar year. Up-to-the-minute UFC 318 results include: Daniel Rodriguez def. UFC 318 results: Paulo Costa shines against Roman Kopylov, calls out Khamzat Chimaev
Paulo Costa is back in the winner's column. Roman Kopylov tried his best to mount a late surge, but Costa (15-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) built a lead too big to overcome. The middleweight bout served as the co-main event of UFC 318 at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. After 15 minutes, "The Eraser" outstruck Kopylov (14-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) to win a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28). Costa started the action with a series of hard kicks. Kopylov attempted to find a home for a few punches, but Costa was quick to slip and counter as they exchanged in the center. Costa continued to land well as the round wore on, mixing up his targets with punches and kicks. With a minute to go in the round, Kopylov attempted to close the distance and got dropped with a hard punch. His mouthpiece went flying, too. Costa swarmed for the finish, but Kopylov remained tight defensively to get back to his feet to see the next round. Early in Round 2, Costa continued working Kopylov's body and legs with hard kicks. Costa's pressure was high as he feinted and bounced around lightly on his feet, hitting his target repeatedly. A big punch stunned Kopylov, but he didn't go down. A moment later, another big right hand cracked Kopylov. Heading into the final round with all of the momentum, Costa continued to stick and move. Kopylov turned up the pressure, knowing he needed to turn the tide of the fight. As they traded strikes, Kopylov landed a very stiff punch that buckled Kopylov, but he couldn't capitalize on the moment as Costa taunted while firing back. During his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier, Costa called out Khamzat Chimaev, mentioning he wants revenge for sending DMs to his wife. Chimaev is currently set to face Dricus Du Plessis for the middleweight title at UFC 319 on Aug. 16. With the win, Costa gets back on track after a rough 1-4 patch, including back-to-back losses to former champions Robert Whittaker and Sean Strickland. Costa's previous win came against another former titleholder, Luke Rockhold, by unanimous decision at UFC 278 in August 2022. The result halts Kopylov's momentum, who entered as a winner of two straight against Cesar Almeida and Chris Curtis. Up-to-the-minute UFC 318 results
