
‘Devil's Double Next Level' trailer: Santhanam is a film critic stuck inside a quirky horror film
The trailer of Santhanam's upcoming horror-comedy Devil's Double Next Level was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday (April 30). The film, directed by S Prem Anand, is a sequel to 2023's DD Returns and the fourth film in the Dhillukku Dhuddu film series.
In the trailer, Santhanam's character, a popular film critic, is invited by a mysterious entity (played by Selvaraghavan) to a special show of a new horror movie. However, while entering the film, he is pulled into the world of the film, in which he experiences day-to-night transitions, non-linear narration, the staple horror movie tropes, and a Gautham Vasudev Menon who romances Yashika Anand while dancing to 'Uyirin Uyire' from Khakha Khakha! To escape from this nightmare, Santhanam has to either quit reviewing films or find a way to defeat the spectre that has imprisoned him.
The cast of Devil's Double Next Level also features Geethika, Nizhalgal Ravi, Kasthuri, Redin Kingsley, Motta Rajendran, Maran.
With music scored by OfRo, the film has cinematography by Deepak Kumar Padhy and editing by Bharath Vikraman. Produced by Niharika Entertainment and actor Arya under the banner The Show People, Devil's Double Next Level is set to release in theatres on May 16.
