WWE officially announced on NXT that former NXT North American Champion Ricky Starks had unfortunately suffered a laryngeal contusion in his title match against Ethan Page on May 27.
According to a report from Robert Defelice of Fightful, the injury specifically took place when Page hit Saints with a Twisted Grin that made his throat hit the crossbar of a chair.
It was also stated that updates would be provided as they become available. However, there is currently no timetable for when Saints will return to WWE television.

Saints has only been in WWE for a short amount of time, having appeared for the first time on NXT in February. However, he has been wrestling professionally since 2012.
At this point, Saints is most well-known for his time in All Elite Wrestling, where he first answered Cody Rhodes' open challenge for the AEW TNT Championship on June 17, 2020.
Then known as Ricky Starks, he would remain with AEW for nearly five years, earning the FTW Championship and the AEW World Tag Team Championship with Big Bill.
Saints had also won the 2022 AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament, the 2022 Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal and the 2023 Owen Hart Cup.

Saints shocked the wrestling world when he made a surprise appearance on NXT on Feb. 11, 2025, entering through the crowd.

Saints would hold the title for 55 days before losing it to Ethan Page at the match where he suffered his injury.

'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' holds its lead atop the box office
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Marvel's first family stumbled in theaters in its second weekend, but still held on to the top spot at the box office. 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' earned $40 million from 4,125 North American theaters, a 66% drop from a healthy $117.6 million debut. The film was accompanied by comedies 'The Bad Guys 2' and 'The Naked Gun' in the top three box office rankings. The superhero movie dipped significantly more than Marvel's previous film, 'Thunderbolts,' which took a 55% dive in its second weekend. 'First Steps' is the last major blockbuster of the summer. It added nearly $40 million internationally in its second weekend, bringing thefilm's global total to $369 million. The movie's box office drop off was surprising given its strong reviews, said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst for the data firm Comscore. Though the movie's debut weekend may have given box office results a strong push toward the $4 billion summer benchmark, August is off to a slow start, he said.
