Imphal-bound IndiGo flight returns to Delhi due to technical snag
'A minor technical snag was detected soon after take-off on flight 6E 5118 operating from Delhi to Imphal on 17 July 2025. As a precautionary step, the pilots decided to turn-back and landed safely at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi,' the airline said in a statement.
In line with the mandatory procedures, the aircraft underwent necessary checks and resumed the journey shortly thereafter, IndiGo said and regretted the inconvenience caused to the passengers.
According to information available with flight tracking website Flightradar24.com, the A321 aircraft operating the flight 6E 5118 was airborne for an hour before it returned to Delhi.

IndiGo starts operations at Hindon airport with daily Kolkata flights
IndiGo airline on Sunday connected Kolkata and Hindon airport in Ghaziabad with daily direct flights. Union civil aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu during the launch of new flight routes from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, to be operated by IndiGo(ANI) The flight 6E 2588 will operate on the Kolkata–Hindon route daily, the airline said in a statement. It will depart from Kolkata at 5.50 am and reach Hindon at 8 am. The return flight will take off from Hindon at 8.50 am and reach Kolkata at 11 am. According to the statement, the airline has taken a strategic leap in strengthening its offerings from the National Capital Region (NCR) by commencing operations from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, its second airport in the NCR after Delhi. The airline said it will also operate flights from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Indore, Mumbai, Patna, and Varanasi to Hindon airport.
