UAE aid ship 'Khalifa' departs with 7,166 tonnes for Gaza

ABU DHABI (WAM) The eighth UAE aid ship, Khalifa, part of "Operation Chivalrous Knight 3," departed on Monday from Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi, heading to El Arish Port in the Arab Republic of Egypt.Loaded with urgent relief supplies, the ship forms part of the UAE's ongoing humanitarian support for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.Khalifa is the largest aid vessel dispatched by the UAE to date, carrying 7,166 tonnes of essential food, medical, and relief supplies.The cargo comprises 4,372 tonnes of food items, 1,433 tonnes of shelter materials, 860 tonnes of medical supplies, and 501 tonnes of health supplies.This latest shipment brings the total volume of aid sent by the UAE to the Gaza Strip to 77,266 tonnes.
The initiative is part of a series of humanitarian efforts launched under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, underscoring the UAE's steadfast commitment to providing support to those affected and in need, in cooperation with its charitable and humanitarian institutions.

23 July 2025 09:55 SINGAPORE (WAM) The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA) has celebrated the graduation of 23 of its personnel from the 32nd International Rescue and Command Course (RCC), organised by the Civil Defence Academy in the Republic of Singapore, one of the world's most prestigious institutions in firefighting and civil protection training.A delegation from the ADCDA, led by Colonel Mohammed Nukhaira Saleh Al Mazrouei, along with several family members of the graduates, attended the ceremony held in reaffirmed that empowering national talents according to the highest international standards is a key pillar of its strategy to enhance readiness and raise the efficiency of the civil defence system at all authority remains committed to adopting global best practices in a manner that strengthens Abu Dhabi's position as one of the world's safest and most prepared cities in the face of emergencies and authority also emphasised that this milestone represents a qualitative step in developing specialised leaders capable of keeping pace with the latest advancements in civil protection.
