Jessie J, 37, suffers 'hardest day yet' amid her 'rollercoaster' battle with breast cancer as she breaks down in tears and struggles through panic attacks while 'drowning in the negativity' of her diagnosis
Jessie J revealed she suffered her 'worst day so far' amid her breast cancer battle as she broke down in tears and struggled through panic attacks on Saturday.
The singer, 37, who announced her diagnosis in an emotional Instagram video last week, admitted 'drowning in the negativity' of her situation as she took to her Stories with a latest health update.
In a lengthy post on Sunday, she wrote: 'Honestly, had my worst day so far yesterday since my diagnosis and the busiest three months I have had in years. Work. Toddler. Cancer. life etc had my mind [drained].
Jessie, who shares two-year-old son Sky with partner Chanan Colman, continued: 'Panic attacks/ tears. big fears/ anger/ overwhelm bad. And you know what helped?'.
'I ate a corn on the cob. Turns out it's extremely hard to panic or cry while eating one. Highly recommend. Instead mood shift'.

'Tomorrow is a new day. The [rollercoaster] of cancer is [draining]. I won't be just talking about the highlights. And making jokes all the time. That isn't real life. Goodnight'.
Returning to social media on Monday, The Price Tag hitmaker penned: 'IMO. it's [key] to acknowledge fear anger sadness panic overwhelm and let it come up and come out. holding it in won't make it go away. In any challenging situation in life'.
'So when I posted what I did yesterday about my current challenge in life, also while making light of the situation. That was one day in 10 weeks that I just lost it and was completely drowned in all the negative and bed feelings any cancer journey can bring. Which is healthy and needed.
She went on: 'So I will cry, I will be scared, I will panic, I will feel all of it for a minute or even a full day. And then eat a [corn] or listen to a song that lifts me up or laugh with a friend on Face Time. And then go and be a mum, and go to work and show up and be what I feel 90% of the time'.
'Strong, fearless, healthy, and make some jokes about it all because that's my way. But i will not ignore the 10% that is fear and sadness'.
It comes after Jessie appeared to drop a hint about her cancer diagnosis weeks ago during a performance in London.
But the announcement appears all the more poignant now given what Jessie is reported to have told fans while performing at Union Chapel on May 20.
Accorrding to The Mirror, the star told her fans at the show she was putting herself first and wanted to have fun.
She said: 'I know we are all going through our own battles in life, we are all struggling in our own way. We talk about it sometimes, and sometimes we don't.
'So I will cry, I will be scared, I will panic, I will feel all of it for a minute or even a full day. And then eat a [corn] or listen to a song that lifts me up or laugh with a friend on Face Time'.
'I'm grateful I have the voice and the strength to be able to put those experiences into songs that people can take and make them their own soundtrack to help them get through a tough time, a good time, a scary time.'
The hitmaker also seemed to reference her cancer battle when she introduced her new song No Secrets.
'This song for me, more so than ever right now, is getting me through my life,' she said.
Jessie revealed that she discovered she had the illness before the release of her hit new single No Secrets, which was released on April 25.
The mother of one said she would be undergoing surgery after performing at the Summertime Ball in London on June 15.
In the clip, Jessie said: 'Hi, I have been going back and forth a little bit on whether to share it. I want to but there's lots of opinions outside...
'Also knowing that I want to share with my fans and the people that care about me, also I'm a sharer. I've always shared everything that I go through in my life.
'Before No Secrets came out, I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding onto the word early.
'I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period, adding that she had not been adequately 'processing it because I'm working so hard.'
Jessie said she 'wanted to be open and share it - one, because selfishly I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it 'cause I'm working so hard.'
She added: 'I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me, with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories.'
The London native stated: 'I'm an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much, similar and worse. That's the bit that kills me.'
'I just wanted to let you guys know it wasn't something I planned. I'm getting to keep my nipples. That's good, it's a weird topic and a weird situation.'
Jessie reflected: 'To get diagnosed with this as I'm putting out a song called No Secrets, right before a song called Living My Best Life – which was all pre-planned, before I found out about this. I mean, you can't make it up.'
She joked: 'It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job,' adding that the operation to excise the cancer would occur sometime after her appearance at Summertime Ball at London's Wembley Stadium on June 15.
Jessie told fans she would 'disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery and I will come back with massive t**s and more music.'
Continuing the lighthearted mood, she wrote in the caption: 'No (more) Secrets and is it too soon to do a remix called Living My Breast Life?
'All jokes aside (you know it's one of the ways I get through hard times). This last two months have been so amazing, and having this go on alongside it on the sideline's has given me the most incredible perspective.

Katherine Ryan: Battleaxe review – comedy's ice queen melts into audience agony aunt
How would you like a ruthless cynic as an agony aunt? That's the question thrown up by this touring show from Katherine Ryan, which pairs 45 minutes of caustic standup with a second 45 of counselling to the crowd. You might protest that that adds up to less than an hour of new material in Battleaxe, plus a second act that's more improvised therapy session meets audience Q&A. But at least those three-quarters of an hour find Ryan on imperious form, dispensing tart put-downs of men in general and some men in particular. The Guardian's journalism is independent. We will earn a commission if you buy something through an affiliate link. Learn more. This ice queen of comedy pose is one Ryan wears lightly now, after a few years where it sometimes felt restrictive and for show. Then came her 2022 show Missus, which diluted (or enriched) the persona to address the Canadian's then-recent out-of-the-blue marriage. Battleaxe is a retrenchment after that more expansive offering, with Ryan back in her high-status comfort zone, eye-rolling at her children's foibles, breaching PC protocols for LOLs, and wrinkling her nose at the weaker sex. 'If dildos could bleed a radiator, men would be obsolete.' There's a fine routine on the contrasting ways male and female bodies husband their reproductive material, and many a weary remark at the expense of 'im indoors. See this masterpiece of double-edgery: 'I love my current husband so much so far.' The Ryan we meet post-interval sits a little at odds to this act one badass, as she responds to problems volunteered by the crowd with even-handedness in place of cynical certainty. Fair enough: such is (in her own words) her duty of care, as she ministers to a man whose Lego habit his new wife refuses to tolerate, and a couple at odds about the appeal (or otherwise) of having a third child. But, in this touring show of two halves, the laughs in this crowdsourced comedy are milder than the short, sharp hit of concentrated Katherine that goes before. Touring until 28 June

The eldest daughter of Ozzy and Sharon, 41, debuted her slimmed down appearance while leaving a hotel alongside Brigitte Calls Me Baby star Wes Leavins, who are currently on tour in the UK. Former X Factor judge Sharon, 72, who recently admitted that Ozempic has had an adverse effect on her health, was recently pictured with Aimee in Los Angeles. While her younger siblings Kelly, 40, and Jack, 39, skyrocketed into fame, singer Aimee prefers to live a life away from the spotlight. Aimee was largely raised in California until the age of 16, however she eventually moved out of the family home as filming for The Osbournes kicked off. She said that she would have liked to stay at home 'a little longer', but as the MTV crew moved in the then teenager moved out. Reflecting on her decision to not appear on the show she added: 'Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television? 'I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.' Sharon said on the Talk in 2018: 'She felt too that she didn't want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea — it was appalling to her. 'And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did. It broke my heart when she moved.' In 2003, she featured in the MTV musical adaption of Wuthering Heights. Presently she is the lead singer for pop band ARO, whose first single Raining Gold was released in 2015. The reality TV personality, who appeared on the Dax Shepard podcast - Armchair Expert - revealed she and her older sister had been estranged for a long time. On the podcast episode, which aired on May 3, 2021, Kelly said the pair were unable to get on the same page. 'We don't talk,' Kelly, then 36, told Shepard. 'We're just really different. She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her.' Back in 2015 Aimee shared with The Independent that her and Kelly were not on close terms. 'I wouldn't say there is an ease between us, but there is an acceptance,' she said. 'Do we socialize? No.' However, Aimee and Jack's bond is staggeringly different, with the pair both running production company Osbourne Media together. The siblings are also in the process of co-producing a biopic about their parents, according to Variety.
