Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will develop an industrial township along the Agra Expressway for which it held a meeting with farmers at Dona village in Kakori on Friday.
The meeting, attended by village heads and district panchayat members from 12 identified villages, focused on land acquisition.
LDA joint secretary Sushil Pratap Singh said the industrial township will be developed over 5,610 acres in Sadar and Sarojininagar tehsils, covering villages like Bhalia, Adampur Indwara, Bahru, Jaliyamau, Madarpur, Ibrahimganj, Naktaura, Gehalwara, Tejkrishna Khera, Rewari, Sakra and Dona.
The plan includes residential facilities for over 2 lakh people and is expected to boost investment and create largescale employment in the industrial, health, education and logistics sectors.
Farmers raised demands for infrastructure such as internal roads, drainage, health centres, schools, parks, cremation grounds and water bodies, which LDA agreed to consider. Concerns over land record errors and illegal plotting by some property dealers were also addressed, with officials assuring corrective measures and action through joint teams.
The plan is being finalised under the Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme, and LDA is engaging directly with villagers to ensure smooth implementation.

LDA bylaws for compounding to benefit many

Lucknow: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) will now allow approval of compounding maps under the newly implemented Model Building Construction and Development Bylaws and Model Zoning Regulation-2025. Compounding is a process to make buildings legal if they were built without approval or in violation of the original plans. This move would benefit property owners who undertook construction earlier by allowing them to regularise their buildings under the new rules. LDA vice chairperson Prathamesh Kumar issued this directive during a Janata Adalat held at the authority's headquarters. Zonal officers have been assigned specific targets for mitigation map approvals—ranging from 75 to 220 maps per zone—to streamline the process and avoid delays. The new regulations increase the permissible land coverage and FAR (Floor Area Ratio). The VC emphasised the need to prioritise mitigation approvals in the public interest.

50 LDA plots, 2 complexes on e-auction

Lucknow: At least 50 residential plots in Basant Kunj Scheme and two major commercial complexes have been listed for e-auction by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). According to LDA officials, 252 square metre plots located in Sector-G near Gau Ghat, adjacent to the Green Corridor, have been put up for auction for the first time. The base rate was fixed at Rs 32,955 per sqm. These plots, with an estimated collective value of Rs 310 crore, were planned in a prime residential area. Additionally, several high-value properties identified through a land audit were also included. A 2.5-hectare plot near SSB in Gomti Nagar Extension, valued at nearly Rs 100 crore, was selected for e-auction. Commercial and nursing home plots in Vishal Khand, Gomtinagar, measuring 1800 sqm, have also been listed. Two multi-storey commercial complexes constructed earlier by the authority have been put up for sale. The five-storey Ratan Khand complex (6729.6 sqm) was valued at Rs 87 crore, while the Mansarovar complex (1586.43 sqm) was valued at Rs 15.27 crore. Both were included in the current auction. Officials have been asked to prepare plans for high-rise residential buildings on LDA-owned land near Balu Adda (4200 sqm) and Bhadeva in Aishbagh (5000 sqm), which were identified through the same land audit process.
