
Lenovo Unveils Largest Data Storage Portfolio Refresh
Lenovo has announced the biggest refresh of its data storage portfolio in the company's history, introducing new Lenovo Data Storage Solutions aimed at helping enterprises prepare for the AI era with improved performance, efficiency, and scalability. The company stated that the complete range includes storage arrays, software-defined infrastructure, and AI and virtualization enhancements.
According to Lenovo, the new solutions are designed to support real-time reasoning and scalable deployment of AI and data modernization workloads using the next generation of Lenovo ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile infrastructure.
The move comes as enterprises increasingly seek measurable returns from AI investments. Lenovo commissioned EMEA IDC research, which found that data sovereignty, compliance, and data quality are key to AI success. However, scalability and data quality remain major obstacles.
Scott Tease, Vice President and General Manager of Lenovo's Infrastructure Solutions Product Group, said the new offerings provide a data-driven strategy with trusted infrastructure. He emphasized that the solutions aim to deliver faster time to value regardless of where businesses are in their IT modernization journey.
Marco Pozzoni, Director of EMEA Storage Sales at Lenovo Infrastructure Solutions Group, noted that this is a significant milestone for Lenovo's EMEA customers. He said the solutions offer the performance and resiliency needed to support enterprise AI and data modernization initiatives while maximizing ROI.
The refreshed portfolio includes 21 new ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile models optimized for enterprise AI, virtualization, and sustainable operations. Lenovo highlighted several innovations: Turnkey AI Starter Kits and validated configurations

The Lenovo ThinkAgile SDI V4 Series is reported to simplify IT infrastructure while enabling faster LLM inferencing. The new ThinkSystem Storage Arrays reportedly offer 3x faster performance, up to 97% energy savings, and 99% improvement in data density compared to older 10K HDD-based systems.
Moreover, Lenovo's GPT-in-a-Box with liquid cooling, part of the ThinkAgile HX Series, is said to provide a full-stack generative AI solution with up to 25% energy savings over previous generations.
To further support enterprise AI adoption, the company has introduced AI Starter Kits for the Lenovo Hybrid AI Platform. These kits include compute, storage, GPUs, and networking and are built to scale with evolving business needs. Lenovo also stated that the kits come with ransomware protection, encryption, and failover features to ensure high availability.
The updated ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile solutions are reported to be designed for various workloads, including databases, ERP, CRM, hybrid cloud, backup, and archive. Lenovo emphasized that these systems support AI inferencing, RAG workflows, and model fine-tuning.
In addition, Lenovo announced that its new converged hybrid cloud and virtualization solutions can reduce software licensing costs by up to 40%. The Lenovo ThinkAgile Converged Solution for VMware combines lifecycle management with advanced data management to deliver a unified and flexible cloud platform.
The company also unveiled its Premier Enhanced Storage Support and XClarity management software to assist IT teams with security, encryption, and compliance.
Tony Weston, CTO at OneNet, commented that Lenovo's innovative solutions and support services enable OneNet to deliver high-performance private cloud offerings to customers.
Lenovo further stated that ThinkSystem DG and DM storage arrays now feature AI-powered ransomware protection using machine learning models to detect and counter threats in real time.
With this refresh, Lenovo aims to empower organizations across industries to modernize their infrastructure and capitalize on AI's potential with data storage solutions that are efficient, scalable, and secure.

Yara Mohammad, a 13-year-old from Fujairah, admitted feeling slightly anxious about the complexity of AI, but found reassurance in knowing that the course explores innovative applications across other students see AI classes as a big help as they prepare to take the big leap into higher studies.
