Squares Developments ended the first Ramadan Padel Tournament in the Egyptian real estate market, which was organized and sponsored by Squares Developments for the first time in the sector, within the participation of several real estate marketing and development companies, durin the period from 9 till 13 march.
Ahmed Mahdi, Squares Developments CEO, said that this tournament is the first of its kind in the real estate market,as it was launched within groups with a total of three groups, with qualifying rounds for these matches leading up to the final match, where one team won first place and the other second place, noting that the winner with the first place team was honored with the tournament cup and a financial prize, while the second place team received a trophy and a financial prize also.
He stated that through this tournament, they were keen to create a fun, sporting atmosphere that united real estate development and marketing companies, which is a new trend that enhances communication and cooperation among real estate experts and reflects the spirit of brotherhood, cooperation, and harmony among those working in the sector, thus the success of this tournament reflects our desire to consolidate such initiatives, and looking forward to organize more events that combine friendly competition and the spirit of teamwork.

In statements to MENA on Monday, Fouad said that Sharm El Sheikh joined the ICLEI network, thanks to its sustainable development strategy, citing the injection of investments worth EGP 800 million in the new and renewable energy sources in the city to produce 51 megawatts of clean energy, the establishment of 145 kilometers of bike lanes, the introduction of a public bike-sharing system and robust solid waste management systems. She added the next phase will focus on activating the Sustainable Environmental and Social Strategic Development Strategy (SESSDS), through banning the use of single-use plastic in 50 hotels, empowering local community initiatives, especially in protected areas and coastal areas, and expanding partnerships with the private sector and international supporters.

Egypt's Ali Zein joins Veszprem on two-year deal - Omni sports
Egyptian international Ali Zein has completed his move to Hungarian champions Telekom Veszprem on a two-year contract, the Egyptian Handball Association announced on Monday. The 34-year-old arrives from Romanian side CS Dinamo București, where he spent the past three seasons and won two domestic cups. Zein also had a brief but successful stint at Spanish powerhouse Barcelona in 2021, helping the Catalan club secure a sweep of titles including the EHF Champions League, Liga ASOBAL, Copa del Rey, Copa ASOBAL and Supercopa ASOBAL. At Veszprem, Zein will link up with fellow Egyptians Yehya El-Deraa, who joined the club in 2022, and newcomers Ahmed Adel and Ahmed Hisham, who are set to arrive this summer from Ahly and France's Montpellier, respectively. Zein is regarded as one of Egypt's most accomplished handball players, having played a key role in the national team's dominance on the continent, winning four African Championship titles.
